I am the process of moving to Danberry the end of the month). Everything is going smoothly. The fallibility has been fantastic. Because of the layout of the rooms it will feel like my current home with the exception of not having a guest bedroom (who needs a guest bedroom) and living area not being as open. In the bedroom and study (2nd bedroom) the furniture layout will be the same.

Danberry has been my home for 5 1/2 yrs. I feel safe and cared for here. Everyone from a porter or housekeeper to any Director or the Executive Director are kind, helpful and fun. Dad had a 2 bedroom apartment in independent living at Danberry for 5 years, and it was a game changer for him. From Wii bowling to producing plays for fellow residents to bridge, bingo, billiards, and multiple concerts a week, he could find things to do or just enjoy long naps in his recliner. When he could no longer drive, Danberry's personal ride service stepped in to keep him on the go. The wooded surroundings, bird feeders, and gorgeous water feature added another unexpected pleasure for him. And the food. Good chef! A particular nod to the staff. Always helpful, and always went the extra mile, including maintenance helping him hang a photo on the wall.

While touring the facility when considering a move, every resident we came in contact with praised the facility and staff. The coordinator for sales and move in has been exceptional in taking the time to listen to our needs and wants. Her timely follow through with every detail let us know that we had an advocate at Danberry. The variety and the quality of food services are top notch. A new resident dies not meet a stranger upon moving in. The other residents are very welcoming. Living at Danberry at Inverness indeed feels like being home.

I visited with a sweet lady at Danberry recently and was happy to hear how excited she was in her new home. She could not stop talking about how welcomed she felt there and how the staff was so attentive to everyone. Good food is always important and she said the food is excellent. There are always many residents out and about enjoying the amenities that Danberry offers. Every time I am there people are always friendly, the staff and residents alike. Melissa Tabor and all of the wonderful staff are so helpful when new residents move in, being sure that they are settled in smoothly and ready to start enjoying their new home.

Melissa, the move in co-ordinator was wonderful. She answers all questions, helps in anyway she can and genuinely seems to care. She is an asset to Danberry. MC is led by an energetic, inclusive activities director, Robin. She keeps residents engaged. During the week, staff seem ok in general with a couple who exceed expectations. Weekends, I wish there were person led activities, similar to weekdays. Weekend staff, I would give mixed reviews. Overall, Danberry MC is a safe environment for your loved one. Food is decent, the environment is clean and tidy.

I am not a resident but my law firm, The Alabama Elder Care Law Firm, LLC, has been closely involved in Danberry for many years. Quite a few of our clients have lived there, both independent and assisted, and we visit there regularly. It is an excellent community. In fact, Danberry is the gold-standard by which the others are measured. Many of the staff have been there since their grand opening for example. This suggest to me that this is a career for them, not just a way to pay their bills. The community is spotless and the food is great. The residents offer a wide range of backgrounds and interests so residents would have a hard time being bored there. If I ever need a place to live, Danberry will be at the very top of my list!

Fantastic facility! Though we were only touring the place as a possible location for our parents, they made us feel like family! Deborah at the front desk got us some coffee and Lori met us to talk about our situation. She is so full of great information (having been there at Danbury for 16 years now!) and really got to know what level of care our folks would need. She then showed us a couple of rooms and we toured the facility. We met the Chef and looked at the menu (food offerings looked so delicious!), as well as saw all the places for activities (there's a very nice pool, too!). Can't say enough good things about the Danbury and we hope a room is available when the time comes for my folks to move it! Thank you!!

June 2nd arrived and our move to Danberry began. The staff was so great assisting us with anything we needed. The movers, McCorquodale Transfer, was fabulous and the men were so friendly, hardworking and helpful. We arrived to find our refrigerator full of great lunches, drinks and snacks. Our first 5 days have been busy but getting out and meeting other individuals who made the choice to move to senior living has been exciting. I had the opportunity to visit this beautiful property recently and was pleased with everything I saw. It feels more like a luxe resort tucked off of 280 than a care facility. I was looking at moving my loved one to memory care, and I was sad to learn there was no current availability. The room I toured was cozy and bright. The surroundings were clean and felt like a home rather than a care setting. I think anyone would be happy to live at Danberry! Danberry at Inverness is beyond wonderful! After looking at every place in and around Birmingham, my mother-in-law decided to move into Danberry at Inverness. I cannot say enough about the whole experience thus far. From our first visit, to making the decision, moving out of her out of state home, and moving in, there was help with everything along the way. They even gave us a reference for a moving company, which turned out to be beyond wonderful. Lindsey and Melissa at Danberry could not have made things any easier; they thought of everything to help make my MIL's transition as seamless and comfortable as possible. The residents at Danberry are friendly and outgoing and made my MIL feel welcome and included from her first day. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. The activities are varied and there is something for everyone. I just can't say enough great things and I am so pleased to see my MIL happy and adjusting while being surrounded by her new friends and the wonderful, caring, and friendly staff at Danberry. And again I can't thank Melissa (move in coordinator), Lindsey (sales consultant), and Olu (security who came and did tech help for us over the weekend) for going above and beyond and always with a smile on their face.

My mother moved into the Memory Care Unit at Danberry in June. The experience was wonderful. We had the opportunity to move her belongings into her room several days before her actual move in day so when mom arrived her room was full of furniture and memorabilia that made her immediately comfortable and secure. For the past year, I've been working with Lindsey Granberry to get my mom a new home at Danberry of Inverness. We have talked many times and she has set up an evaluation which my mom did well with.. We've toured the facilities and met a number of the staff. It's such a nice place and I had high hopes that my mom could find her new home there. This week, Lindsey set up a second evaluation for the memory care as my mom has declined. Unfortunately for mom, my siblings can't agree on the next right step for her and want to continue down the path of caring for her at home which isn't practical at this point nor financially wise. I'm very disappointed in this decision, but I'm grateful for Lindsey and for all she has done to get my mom the help she deserves. I'm still hoping my siblings will come to an agreement that's in my moms best interest. Thank you Lindsey for all you've done to help my mom.

Some very good friends of mine live there in independent living. They pay around $7,000/month and are supposed to get weekly cleaning. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. But when they do, it's rarely the same person, then they don't clean very well. Last week the bathroom counter was NOT cleaned at all. She was only there 30 minutes, so how could she? I helped my elderly friend by dusting, yuk it was so dusty and they have requested blinds to be repaired OVER a year ago and are told they have been ordered twice! Now somebody could just go to Home Depot, 1 mile away, but I guess because they are Elderly, they are ignored. I know they must be short on help as it took them 2 hours to get their food and eat in the Bistro and one of the management team was helping, but for $7,000/month they shouldn't have to hire outside help to dust and clean bathrooms.
