I have had a first hand experience with The Reserve for the last 18 months. I will list my observations. The security at this senior dwelling is a joke. Any person who has the use of a key fob can go to ANY hardware store that can copy a key fob and have one dublicated and have one made. There is a homeless population visible from their main entry into the property. People who PAY for covered parking do not have their parking secured. ANYONE can park in the paid spot and management will do NOTHING to protect that spot AND give no monetary compensation for that inconveniece. The swimming pool and therapeutic hot tube are a joke. The residence of The Reserve have not been able to use the pool for over a year because it has a mechanical part that has NEVER BEEN replaced. There is a discolored scum that is visual from outside the pool enclosure. There is a resident on the 4th floor who DAILY hosts homeless individuals overnight that defecate in public spaces, deface walls doors, and wall hangings. Of course there is a drug abuse culture. MY POINT is that management of The Reserve ONLY care about the bottom line and care little or nothing about the safety and well being of the seniors who live there. If you want to live comfortably, safely and happily this IS NOT THE PLACE TO MOVE TOO!

My Ma' resides at this place, on one of the floors above 2. All in all I have to say that while I'm not really feeling it (vibe wise), the establishment itself is pretty well made. One major caveat, and this is Only from my experience alone.., the heating/cooling aspect is fundamentally lacking. Point is, it's rather hot the higher you go, and I can only conclude that such is directly due to a poor airflow system within the building itself. Yes, each unit facing an outside has a port for an AC unit.., the fact that you need one to maintain a comfortable temperature is a little B.S. Proper airflow in a multi-floored environment is, or at least should be, paramount. And it appears to be lacking in this place. I could be wrong with my assessment, as well as my deduction as to why it's so hot., the point remains a matter of fact and should have been determined before the first shovel was used. I've noticed some ventilation ducts along the hallways, but all seem to be intakes so far. ™

Stuff is usually pleasant, maintenance are always nice. I think it's the lowest rent in Thurston county and you get what you pay for.

The apartment has a few issues but overall very timely in responding to janitorial needs and questions. It is true there are people who gossip but I have found that, even in living in your own residence. I wish they could enforce smoking policy better but they can warn. There are lots of areas they have to shut off for sanitary and maintenance. Since a large population living here, I feel that is understandable. I am mentioning pool and spa. Overall, they have been kind to me, even when I was not having a good day. Yes we have rules. It may seem as adults we can be responsible but as everyone knows, some people do not like rules. For a pretty apartment complex, it is very good.

Very cheap building materials and appliances, felr life living with big brother looking over your shoulder. Looking for anything to get you on month to month leases. Very uncomfortable place.

I recently did caregiving for an elderly lady that lives on the second floor. Her thermostat is turned off or down to 60. It was 64° outside and her apartment was running between 75 and 77°! And the temperature is above 64°. You can only imagine how miserable it is! But you can walk down to the first floor where there is AC in the lobby and of course it's office. And I heard other tenants talking about how horribly miserable it is on the 3rd and 4th floor! It is beyond my comprehension. How you could open up apartments for Senior living and not have AC. It is my personal opinion that that falls in line with elderly abuse. What gets me is that there are dishwashers in the apartments and I would be surprised if even half of the tenants here used the dishwashers. For one, you pay for water there so I'm going to assume they choose not to run the dishwasher. There were a lot of things I were impressed with. They offer so many activities for everyone, but the heat heat is beyond describable in the warmer months. 64° and above.

Great place to call home. Staff is excellent and tenants are full of Love.

Not well maintained, dirty floors everywhere (especially the elevators) and not at all set up for anyone with any kind of disability. Family member lives here and it is not a good experience, as she has mobility issues, as do most of the residents. Looking for another option.
