I have been wit Cathedral for almost 2yrs now, it is very challenging at times, but that's what makes it so great, cause there's so many ways to grow n learn. I love my residents n I truly enjoy the people I work with... we all may bump heads at times, but at the end of the day, we come together as a team, n that's what's important is coming together as a team.

As a current employee with over 1 year experience at this facility, here is my take on why Cathedral is absolutely a wonderful place to work. 1. No place is perfect and will never be. Cathedral understands this concept and is always willing to improve via feedback from staff, staying up to date on the newest policies and procedures regarding best health care practices, and implementing suggestions on how to improve with trial and error. 2. The staff! Theses CNAs are some of the hardest workers you will ever meet. CNAs have one of the hardest jobs in healthcare. There is not a single CNA that I couldn't come to for help for anything. The nurses are equally as amazing. They continue to teach me new practices in health care and are receptive to learning new practices in this ever changing world of nursing. 3. Last but certainly not least, management. The management team here represents the most important core value that aligns with my personal beliefs, which is family is first. This includes residents as anyone who has worked LTC knows this. Management has always work with my personal family needs whether its a scheduling conflict or an unexpected emergency. In closing, if any co-workers see this past, present, or future, THANK YOU!

I applied for a management position knowing I most likely would not be offered the job, assuming they were looking for a nurse with increased longevity compared to mine. Cathedral granted me an opportunity most places would not have given to a new grad nurse. Management hired me knowing I still had much to learn and willing to put in the time to teach me. Not many places would have even offered someone with my experience an interview, this is one of the many things that makes Cathedral stand out to me. If you are looking for a job where you will be noticed, given opportunities for advancement, and respected...Cathedral is the best place to go! An aids job is one of the hardest mentally/physically, yet the CNAs here work as a team and ensuring each person gets breaks every so often. The CNAs here are some of the most hard-working and they welcome all new members with open arms and take time to train them. Out of all the amazing things the aids do, they truly care for our residents. It is easy at a job to get stuck going through the motions but our aids strive for resident safety, well-being, and their happiness. Management works as a team to decipher through staff/visitors comments, questions, and/or concerns in order to provide the best care possible. Management understands when things are not operating smoothly they must implement new strategies. They gather feedback and if unsuccessful, a different approach will be made. Cathedral uses trial an error to make improvements benefiting all staff members as well as every resident. All of these aspects make Cathedral the best place!

I've worked at cathedral for many years even when it was the providence home . All facilities have their ups and down and a lot of these people on here saying bad stuff is mostly agency people who are mad cause they can't work their any more . I've seen good ones and bad ones . So don't get me wrong their . Just cause they are one of the highest paying facilities don't mean it's a simple check . We want the best care for our residents and some of you guys are just plain rude to our residents I've seen it . They are their cause they need help and some think they are to good for that .
