I wish I could genuinely tell everyone who is considering placing a loved one at RiverPark Care Center just how truly exceptional they are. Our family was extremely concerned about the decision to place my grandfather in short-term rehabilitation, so we toured every facility available to us in the Eugene area. The online reviews for RiverPark were concerning and almost prevented us from considering it, as they likely would for many families, but after our experience, I truly cannot understand why the reviews are so negative because this facility is exceptional. Vanessa went above and beyond from the very beginning, even staying after her scheduled hours to give us a tour, answer our questions, and ensure we felt comfortable. She was always available and genuinely cared about our family’s situation. She never pressured us into choosing RiverPark and actually encouraged us to explore other facilities so we could make the best decision for my grandfather, which showed her honesty and compassion. The therapy room is incredibly large, but what stood out most was the quality of the staff. I have had multiple family members receive care in both short-term and long-term facilities, and I have never encountered such a consistently caring and compassionate group of people. Every CNA, nurse, therapist, and staff member we interacted with in the short-term rehabilitation unit was truly wonderful. They treated patients with dignity, engaged with them, and genuinely cared about their well-being. My grandfather had numerous serious health issues and was on an extensive number of medications, yet the staff handled his care with incredible attention and professionalism. They were able to meet all of his needs, consistently check on him, and provide a level of care that gave our family peace of mind. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away while at RiverPark due to the severity of his health when he arrived, but the staff could not have provided a more compassionate and peaceful experience. They guided our family through every option, explained comfort care with patience and kindness, and helped make his transition as calm and dignified as possible. We will be forever grateful to RiverPark and every person who cared for my grandfather. I truly cannot recommend this facility enough. I encourage anyone reading reviews to tour the facility and experience it for themselves, as people are often more likely to leave reviews after negative experiences. RiverPark provided our family with an experience that was far beyond what we expected, and we are incredibly thankful for everything they did.

My 90-year old father recently spent a month at Avamere Riverpark to rehab after a hip fracture and replacement. The staff at Riverpark did a wonderful job with physical therapy, wound care, general nursing, bathing, meals, and social work. The staff were all very responsive to any concerns or questions I raised during visits or phone calls and took pride in their work. They also provided me with a lot of support and practical counsel for transporting my dad a long distance upon discharge. The main downside of Riverpark was that while the rooms and community areas are clean and well-maintained, the facility is older and a bit run down.

The staff is awesome the patient staff ratio is way over. The poor CNAs are run ragged but still keep their smiles. Med aides and nurses very compassionate. Physical therapy I think is over maxed my mom was not getting enough rehab the therapy room is amazing if only they would use it more. The facility is nice and people are amazing just under staffed. Food was not great at all! So more people and better food! Please please give staff a pat they are doing amazing at trying to keep up. I heard one CNA, Isaac getting the business from a patient and he stayed ever so sweet and calmed him down. My mom said he was the kindest young man to her even when she was grumpy! I would suggest white boards in patients rooms so they know who is on and times and the date it is also turn lights on don't let them sit in the dark! A few suggestions however they take care of their residents and I didn't hear on complaint from a resident and my my mom had a few roommates. Caring staff they are so great!

Mom was at Avamere Riverpark three different times, and now Dad is here rehabbing from a stroke. They don’t have to come here, they choose to. They know the care is always very good, and the staff exceptional. The rehab team is, without fail, top notch and second to none. It’s so easy to sit back and be critical and opinionated about things you only partially understand, but it’s inherently unhelpful. Be part of the solution! If you really want to ensure the highest quality of care for someone you love, don’t just leave them alone in any kind of healthcare facility, and go on your way, hoping for the best. Go there, stay with your person every day, learn about their care, and offer to help. It will be an education See what staff is up against as they try to provide critical services to a diverse and growing population of often very fragile and needy individuals. It is an impossible, largely thankless job, yet they keep coming back to it, day after day. That takes serious grit and heart. There are much easier, more lucrative ways to earn a living but they pick this one. Just imagine what would happen if they didn’t. Then criticize accordingly. Thank you Riverpark, for being there whenever we’ve needed you,, and a million thank you’s for taking such good care of my wonderful parents!

Riverpark is under new management in 2021 and there has been some really positive changes. I’ve been here for two years, and the new DON is the most promising one we’ve had in a long time. We love our residents and I think everyone will feel the hope a lot of us are feeling right now.

I was at Riverpark from May 27 to June 7, 2018 and I can not say enough good things about the facility. The staff was wonderful to me and it was bittersweet when it was time for me to leave. I will request this facility when I have my next knee replacement and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the exceptional care that I received.
