I have been employed at Highland Pointe for a few months now and I will say that this is one of the better buildings that I have worked for by far. The building is very clean, the residents are a delight, the management team is super helpful and work well together as a team. You can tell that the nurses and STNAs enjoy and love what they do. I would definitely consider Highland Pointe for my loved ones.

I must start on a positive note. It's not the worst place, but a second runner-up!!!. There are some that are worse. If you decide on this facility, be sure to get a 24-hour recording camera & visit often. Let's start with Thanksgiving day. My mother had transportation set up to be with her family on the holiday through Highland Point. No one called to notify the family they'd made an error and wouldn't be transporting her. Now the facility is asking $250.00 for local transporting. There has been many errors in this facility, forgetting to give my mother her seizure medication, which caused her to. have seizures. They accept patient that have seizures, but the staff are incompetent and are not trained in what to look for. I have watched on camera, and more than one medical staff say my mother isn't having a seizure because she can speak. Due to this, I've had to call 911. They have forgotten to run the needed test for 2 or more days, urinalysis. The facility doesn't keep up with medication changes.Use towels to clean the patient but have absolutely no clean towels. I have had to call ODH numerous times. The kitchen staff has changed so many times that I can't keep up. When new kitchen staff come in, they are not informed of food allergies. The nursing station fax machine is not operating, so the hospital can't send updates to medication requests. Please, please do all your research before putting anyone in the place!

T he staff is not nice and friendly UNTIL you ask for help. There are many creepy rude aids and even the nurses get attitudes and are pushy rough. The food is horrible! Tasteless, no butter given with buns or garlic bread.! There was no choice given, no menu. Food comes luke-warm. When asks to warm up, it upsets them very much. Takes them 20 to 30 mi s. to bring back. If your loved you is there for rehab because their week from surgery or illness, Do not leave them in their "care".

Involved in a car accident which led to intense physical/occupational theraputic care here. I was cared for by an incredible, very professional nursing staff 24hrs and the physical therapy and occupational therapist team were top tier. Daily check in from the administrative staff too assuring my comfort and needs to be met. It is a beautiful facility and the gorgeous landscapes to view when outside help put my heart at ease as well.

Hello My sister is at this facility the nursing staff is excellent and knowledgeable. Nurse manager took her time to explain things to our understanding. Case and point this facility is top tier.

Family member was there discharged a few weeks ago.. Nursing staff was excellent! They took great care of my aunt. They were very attentive to our family and answered our questions regarding care and prepared us when it was time for discharge. Don't know what we would've done without them. .

Had to write a review.. I run a business in Old Brooklyn and let me just say finding employees is SO difficult right now. Having my dad come to this facility I thought I was going to have to take time off from work to help with care but no. This facility has employees, and not just any employees but employees that care. I would 100% recommend this facility to anyone looking for a facility for their family or friends. Also to anyone looking for a job

I visited Highland point on numerous occasions, while my sister was a client there. My experience when I was visiting my sister was very pleasant. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend this nursing home to friends and family.
