Good staff even though they need more help. Hours before they answer the sick person. One is very rude the others are great.

While the staff is friendly and well meaning they are not equipped to wean patients off ventilators and should really not be accepting ventilated patients at all. My mother was there for one month and despite my constant urging for weaning trials nothing was done. She is now at a different sub-acute in the area and in less than a week is on cpap for 8+ hours and it's looking like she will be off the ventilator in the next few days. She is working with a speech therapist now who is pushing for her progress and has set clear goals for her. After a month at coastal view she had not received any speech therapy at all. If you want your loved one to get better DO NOT send them to coastal view.

They have been great to my ex-spouse as well as making sure I am taken care of when I go to visit him. The entire staff makes sure I'm present for his meetings and make him feel safe.

I understand there is a possible patient care staff shortage, so I do appreciate the attention given when any request is made by a visitor, and that is usually addressed quite quickly. My other concern is visitor parking. I see quite a few staff members park in the visitor designated parking and are there through their entire shift. I was wondering if it would be possible to have them park in the rear parking area, as a convenience to the visitors that park for short periods of time?

Coastal View Healthcare provides the necessary physical therapy treatments for Patients in recovery. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and efficient. During my visit with a friend, the staff at check-in were friendly and welcoming. The patient, who is a retired physician, was satisfied with quality of care and he seemed in good spirits. His only complaint was about the food but I realize that he has high standards and appreciates flavor. The process for visitors is easy and I would recommend this facility for patients needing this level of care during recovery.
