I would like to say that this is a massive improvement from the last place I was at. The staff has been very lovely. The food is better here and it comes up hot. The place is clean. The nurses are very kind and the cnas are also very helpful. Victoria from admissions has been helpful in making the transition easy. Melo was very helpful in making a crucial appointment i have been trying to make. The facility is spacious and has a beauty shop. I am over the moon and am very happy in choosing this facility and would recommend this to anyone!

Takes 20-25 minutes when requesting help or medicine. Takes 2 1/2 hours to get pain meds. 2 hours to get help to get off the toilet. Air bed deflated 3 times! and other patients come to check why screaming for help doesn’t bring any help. Lay in pee for more than an hour with no help. All to name just a few issues

I have spent a month at Aliya in Highwood recovering from a pelvic fracture. When I arrived at the residential/rehab facility ,I was totally immobile - the caring staff brought me back by restoring my ability to walk with a walker and return home with confidence of my recovery. Special thanks to the therapists , Kate & Natalie, CNA nurses, Airin , Luis, Cassidy & Carmen. Also appreciated the caring staff: Melo,Karla,Jennifer, Brenda, Aurora, Angel, Andrea & Brenda. I would highly recommend this skilled nursing facility if you needing care after a hospital stay.

My wife had a wonderful experience at Aliya of Highwood. Melo, the admin director, is exceptionally helpful from admission until discharge. I called the facility, not knowing if the room was available. Mello informed me he had already started the admission process requested by the hospital. He arranged the same room where she had stayed a couple of years ago, and quickly felt at ease to start receiving rehab. I wanted to especially thank other nursing staff, including Marcelo, Louis, and Rhoda. They are above and beyond our expectations. There are many angels whom I would like to thank. My wife and I would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for the care she received.

I would rate Aliyah Highwood a 6 out of 5 for their exceptional service. The CNA and nursing staff has been very helpful and passionate in their work. The rehab therapists, including Lauren and Kathy are wonderful, and my restorative aide, Rod, has always been incredibly patient and encouraging to me and everyone else .After 3 months of doing rehab, I'm on my feet able to walk independently. Special thank you to the wound care team who helped me heal- Marilyn, Natty and Arlette. All the staff have made my stay here a tremendous experience. Additionally, the food is also very good. Thank you very much for everything and continue to shine in your efforts to help others.

Well, I've been here for over a year now. First, let me say this is the cleanest place I've ever seen. The admissions Department,MEGAN,AND MELO is very helpful and accommodating, social services,CARLA, AND ENRIQUE are very helpful,caring,and fair! Management is also very attentive to the residents needs,especially JACKIE, If you ever need anything, she will do her very best to do it and most likely she will get it done. The CNA'S are pretty good, but sometimes things happen and they can't get to you that quickly, but most of the time they do,especially JUSTINO, CARLOS, IVAN,LUC,SERENA,AND ANNA! The food is adequate, I mean it's not restaurant quality but it's pretty good,lol. The NURSES are excellent and they are more than qualified and very much know what they are doing, they are very very attentive to your needs, and go out of there way to help you.And if you ever have a problem you can go to the head nurse MARILYN AND SHE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.Also,we have a very wonderful nurse practioner,her name is CHRISTINE, she is very good at what she does. And the activities room is very nice and accommodate everyone, and the STAFF works very hard with us residents, and go out of their way to help everyone even though sometimes it isn't their job. Also , last but not least , the therapy department is probably the most knowledgeable and the best there is especially ROD,he is restorative therapy And I have been working with him over a year now and he is wonderful, especially very caring and really cares about his patients.Overall excellent facility and I highly r ecommend it.

I have a family member at Aperion in HIghwood, IL. I have been so pleased with the nursing care, as well as with the psychiatric support. Since I am the POA, I am also directly involved with Soy Chen, the Admissions Director, who is also responsible for finances. After he took over this job, he has flawlessly coordinated with long-term care insurance and also with me. He has answered questions even when out of the office, explaining issues and eliminating problems. I cannot express how pleased I am with the help that he has offered!

5 stars for Aperion Highwood. Compared to other SNF's, this facility is top notch. The staff, building itself, therapy have all been excellent! The nurses are compassionate and they listen carefully to what concerns that I may have. Recommend Aperion Highwood to anyone looking for a SNF.

We met two Aperion Superstars recently when we were moving a relative from another facility. Thanks to Soy and Melo the transition was efficient. When it was obvious that our family member needed a room change within the first week due to special needs, we didn't even need to ask; Melo advised us the change would occur immediately. He even moved all of her belongings himself. Our loved one is enjoying a wonderful time in a truly outstanding facility.

My wife was here for treatment and rehabilitation from a past situation that flared up. The staff made her comfortable and safe until she was able to start her rehabbing. The folks in Physical Therapy were great at getting her to the point where she was able to go back home. I and my wife are grateful for the care she received.

The smell is not the best and it seems overly crowded. As far is the staff they are really nice but they aren't on top of transitioning patients to a chair as often as they should.

It’s a nice location but the upper management is extremely dysfunctional. No one returns phone calls if your thinking for physical therapy this department is the dysfunctional group at this location. No schedule is followed. Run if you can to another facility for your needs.

So far our experience with this place has been so positive. My mother has been here 2 weeks. Jennifer has been absolutely fabulous with helping us admitting our mother to Long Term Care at this facility. Our mother had a stroke 4 weeks ago and we had no idea on how to deal with anything. Jennifer sat down with my brother and I and explained everything to us. Helped arrange for my mother to be moved to Aperion Care, Highwood,IL. Answers any of our questions and concerns promptly. So far the health care staff has taken very good care of my mother. There were a few glitches, which we understand happens but Jennifer took care of those immediately for my us. The facility is very clean. It is a secure facility with very nice attendants that monitors the entrance. They have beautiful, well maintained grounds. Beautiful patio’s. The dining room and sitting area is very comfortable, clean, decorated very tasteful and has large windows that look over the beautiful grounds. The rooms are small but very clean and homey looking. I highly recommend this facility.

Took my grandma to this place for rehab after her fall. Was a little scared because of the low ratings but when I got the chance to visit I was super relieved!! The place was very clean and not smelly like other places. The food is decent and she really enjoyed the group activities! I'd say they did more than good!

I was a resident at this facility in Highwood, IL for a little over three months, and I must say, I received excellent care. I required physical therapy after an illness and I was given an adequate program of exercise to restore my physical mobility. The nursing staff and CNA's are professional, courteous, and friendly. The facility is kept clean and spotless by their very efficient housekeeping staff. Meals are adequate and nutritionally balanced. Overall, the facility is well-run and residents are treated with respect and are well cared for. I would recommend this facility.

My mother was admitted to Aperion Care for rehab when she broke her hip. She was convinced she would never be able to walk again. Thanks to the wonderful staff that patiently worked with her, my mother is able to walk now without the aid of a walker or cane. Thank you.
