I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The nurses are amazing, and you can truly see the dedication they have for their patients every day. What stands out the most to me is the admissions girl she is absolutely wonderful. She regularly checks in on my friend, making sure she is okay and well cared for. Since my friend does not have family visiting often, this level of compassion and attention means so much and does not go unnoticed. The facility is always clean, and it honestly does not feel like a typical nursing home. You can constantly see staff making sure everything is well maintained and comfortable for the patients. The physical therapy team has also been incredible. My friend has improved so much since arriving here, and it is clear that they are truly invested in her recovery and progress. Overall, the entire team does an outstanding job and genuinely cares about their patients. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for their loved one.

The team is incredible, highly skilled, encouraging, and dedicated to getting patients back on their feet. I would like to especially praise one of the PT fellows, Nicolas Raymond, for showing me immense compassion and also excellent, high-performing rehabilitation. My mom spent a month at Cresskill. The facility is decent . However, I encountered some challenges, such shortage of staff and the lack of feedback provided to caregivers. I only received information if I enquired, . I also to repeatedly ask about the status of my mom’s discharge date. I asked on February 28th she responded on March 3rd and stated that she needed clearance from the Clinical Team. I asked on March 4th, she said she needed a discharge date from the insurance company. I asked on March 5th. She told me how well Mom was doing but did not give me a discharge update. I replied by sending a second text asking her for a discharge date. she never replied to my second text on March 5th. I text her on March 6th and asked again for a discharge date she told me Mom’s case was being reviewed by her insurance company. I asked for either the name and contact information for the person reviewing my Mom’s case at the insurance company or a conference call with person. I also told her I was planning to bring my Mom home. She then called me. I told her I felt like she wasjerking me around. Suddenly there was no more mention of insurance clearance. By the way I called my Mom’s insurance company and they don’t clear patients for discharge, they approve admissions and the length of stay, so I felt like she was lying. Mom was finally discharged on 3/8/25. But the challenges didn’t end there, Mom was discharged without a prescription for the medication she needed most.

I have had my aunt at the Care One facility in Cresskill for three weeks now. I’m so impressed by the quality care, she is receiving there. It has been a long road the past few years of being in and out of hospitals and rehab centers. My aunt was a 911 victim and received a double lung transplant in March of 2022. Her health has been declining since her surgery. I think now we have finally found her permanent stay. There is a special person there on staff who makes the difference among the rest of the rehab centers my aunt stayed at. Her name is Kayla. Kayla made all the arrangements and I have to say, it was a very smooth transition. She is very kind and thoughtful and we are happy she works there.

The team of nurses Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Over Night all went above & beyond to make a difference in the care they provided to the patient & our family. After breaking my hip, it was my good fortune to select CareOne at Cresskill for rehab. This time I broke the right hip after the left one 3 years ago. On top of that I am a long term juvenile (type 1) diabetic since 1964. The staff at Cresskill is amazing in their kindness, caring, and professionalism, most especially the aides who are most one on one with you. A big shout out to Margery and Pamela in room 34W. Their graciousness in a most trying situation at the beginning was so very appreciated. The PT was excellent in getting me on my feet again while the dining room and entertainment gave people a social life. All in all, I have nothing but good to say of CareOne at Cresskill.

Before my mother was admitted to CareOne we never had a need or previous experience at a skilled nursing facility. My mom (91) was cared for, looked after and rehabilitated to the point she was able to return home safely to care for herself with some home healthcare. The staff.. Blossom, Donna and the nurses, doctors, rehab specialists and maintenance personnel are excellent and professional in their fields. We felt supported as a family as a family as well. We are entirely grateful for their help from inpatient to discharge and navigating the complex world of insurance and Medicare. I would highly recommend them.

My mother in law stayed at the facility after her knee replacement surgery. She had the surgery on Tuesday, went to the facility on Friday, and was discharged after only 1 week on the next Monday. As a veteran nurse of over 50 years, she was amazed at the services and the care she received. Nurses checked on her throughout the night and accommodated my father in law as he stayed with her to make both of them comfortable and their needs taken care for. Best of all were their physical therapists. The night she was admitted, she could not move her leg-couldn't lift her leg, bend it, and was in immense pain. After her first PT visit Saturday morning, she was lifting her leg, could bend her knee, and was even doing exercises on her own. The difference after one visit was amazing and she continued to improve more and more after each PT session. By day three at the facility, she could stand unassisted. By day 4 or 5, she could walk unsupervised with her walker. Without their services at the facility, she would have never recovered so smoothly or quickly.

My mother spent several months here. The staff was very caring and attentive. The physical therpists were also great. Everyone worked hard to make her stay comfortable and help her get better to come home. This an older facility so they do not have all of the conveniences of a hospital like a pure wick. The food is average at best and we often brought food from home. A mini fridge in each room would be a helpful addition. I hope we won’t need a rehab center again but if we did we would come back here.

Dear CareOne: It is with great pleasure and heartfelt gratitude that I write this letter of appreciation to you and your team of compassionate professionals. My mom, Dolores Marti is 90 years old, and has been a patient of yours for the past few months. During that time you have proven to her, me, and my family your deep concern and dedication to your patients. For example: Admissions: You graciously asked questions that I have never heard others ask, such as what she likes to eat and what activities she enjoys. This important detail set the groundwork from the very beginning, already signaling me that my mom was in the right place. Availability: From day 1, you made it clear that you would be available. In fact, David, one of your directors, not only provided his personal cell phone, but even on his days off promptly answered my calls and followed up with any requests. Access: Prompt connection via the main number to the needed department. Administrative: Your handing and request of the paperwork was a perfect combination of patience and professionalism. Updates: Constant updates on my mom’s health and overall condition were a Godsend. Changes: Prompt calls to me of any changes or events that may have occurred no matter how small (such as a slight raise in temperature) demonstrated a transparency that inspired trust. Activity: As a Jehovah’s Witness, my mom enjoys reading the Bible. Your Activities staff made it possible. Although she can’t read on her own, she now listens to the Bible reading available on JW.Org, thanks to Joey and Denise! 24 hr. Monitoring: Your constant care and monitoring of my mom gave me peace of mind in this challenging time. Special thanks to all the nurses! Weekly Reports: You provided an honest report every Friday on her progress and prognosis. Professional Medical Staff: It was also calming to know that you had true medical professionals on hand to deal with any issue, including the need to send her quickly to the hospital when required. Facetime: It is cheer joy when we receive a call from Joey or Denise, sensing their smile through their mask, which means my mom, is healthy enough to face time! COVID Safe: Your strict policies are much appreciated. They keep our loved ones safe in this extremely dangerous environment. In short, your entire team reminds us of the words found in the Bible book of 1 Peter 3:8: Finally, all of you have unity in mind, fellow feeling, brotherly affection, tender compassion, and humility. Another word for fellow feeling is empathy. One elderly gentleman once defined empathy as feeling your pain in my heart. It is evident that your team has demonstrated this endearing quality along with the tender compassion that is so necessary and appreciated in your service to your patients. In addition, qualities listed in Galatians 5:22, 23 such as love, patience, kindness, goodness and mildness were displayed by all of your team listed below! For this I thank you! My brother was admitted to Care One after his recent hospitalization from Nyack Hospital. He spent time at 2 other nursing homes in Rockland and he was used to their staff. When the social worker from Nyack told me that he was being discharged to Care One in Jersey, I was not too happy because of the distance and being a new environment for him. I was told that because of COVID the nursing homes in Rockland had no empty beds. I was reluctant but I agreed. And that was the best decision for my brother and my family. The warm welcome, the clean environment, the caring staff are just a few things that i will mention. I am hoping that he will not need rehabilitation but if needed that exactly where he will go. I will without any hesitation refer my friends/family/patients to Care One for their personal or the care of a loved one.

Care One at Cresskill it's True they Care!! My Mom was terribly weak & ill they really helped her and me, they are a GREAT team. They let you know what is happening with your loved one.
