Yeah, hi Catherine Coke I’m here with Andy and I want to tell you that on the hole this place is a five with some exception exceptions would be number one the food. The food is not exactly what we would want and I’m not talking about the lightning strike that happened on 17 May And the food has it. I understand why the food has been really subpar but when there isn’t a lightning strike and when do the things going smoothly I’ll give you a three on the food. It’s a good thing. You have the chef salad because I’ve eaten a lot of of it. OK what else next the PTs physical the therapist physical and the other kind they have and this are you a CNA the CNA is terrific. The dermatologist comes on Tuesday. I was unimpressed with and I asked her to stop treatment stop doing what she was was trying to debride the debris debride the wound was she told me it wasn’t going to hurt hardly at all and she only got a third of it done before I said I couldn’t take the pain any longer. She should have numb me up. I’ve never been through something like that before and I had no idea of what it would be like it turned out to be very unpleasant. Can I pause for a minute? On the most part, I think of your care center extensive care extended care extended care center is really ship shape and I would come back again thank you bye now T You can back up

My primary concern about the facility was that staff who interact with patients did not all wear their name tags in a prominent and readable way. And staff that does not interact with patients frequently should identify what their role is when engaging the patient.

I was touched by the kindness they showed toward confused patients. There was a nurse I'll call "C." On his best days he was indifferent, and on bad days he was hostile. For a very reputable facility, the care for my declining mom was not the best. The experience we had there from late October 2025 to mid December 2025 has not sat right with me. Every time I went to visit her, she would tell me how she was treated and talked to. Everything from yanking pillows from under her head, to upon asking what her blood pressure was and being refused the information, do being calmed a "drama queen" by a CNA because her vertigo and dizziness is a huge issue, and being rushed to stand up, move or even try to walk, made her terrified. Not a way to treat an 87 year old woman with balance issues. I'm not happy about this, and can provide names of who cared for (or not) cared for her while she was there.

My mom was sent here for rehab. I was very impressed walking through the door. It smelled very fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and positive since the time she was admitted. The therapy team was great they made sure she received all scheduled hours and if she wasn't willing they encouraged her and came back later. 10 out of 10 I do RECOMMEND!!!!!

Today, I would like to express my opinion about Barnes doors extended care.I came here on November the 7.And as far as staying stand I will be discharged on November.The fourteenth I would like to i talk. I would like to Express my stay from day one I felt so unescaptical about the place but then I was felt comfortable before the night was over with. I met the first nurse miss Ernestine. And she was very kind firm but very kind. I've met miss Debbie, which was also very firm. But got to know her and we start preaching and giving testimonies about the law. So I really love my stay with her. The 2nd day I got to me. Et miss Sharon, she's a CNA on the evening or night crew and she was very, very helpful. I also met another c. NA miss Tracy and she was essaline and everything that she did on toy. My care and miss Gloria was one of a kind. She came in and made sure that I needed anything. And did I need any help with anything? And I just, I can't say nothing bad about anybody that I have incountered and as I began to know the result of staff, I met my PT holly and she has been asylum and given me my daily routine of exercises that I need to in order to move my knee and be able to. Be more mobility. The old people were excellent. I can't remember their names, but I wanna give them their prompts I also met shanice, she was one of my nurses esselyn excellen nurse has a beautiful disposition about herself. I also came and counted with a Yanan a CNA named Kaelin, he was very helpful in everything I asked for and had such a nice and sweet disposition about himself. Also, there was a young man came in here. He was ACNF only seen him one time his name was Chris and my God, he was the funniest of them all, but very helpful. Then I came across Ms. Angela, who is over the patient's concierge and she I have to say, is the joy a delight and very helpful. I told her that I wanted some word fine puzzles and she made her way and finally knows where fine pauses for me and I'm working on them as I speak, I also want to give prompts to the lady that does the laundry on our floor but she also Brenda, she also does the meal. Schedules, Brenda came in here yesterday and did my laundry and she did an excellent job. I told her, thank you, Ms. Brenda and I want to give her a tip and she said, oh no baby, you don't have to do the, I said yes, I do. And so I tell her don't kick a gift horse in the mouth and I gave it to her. I am most thankful for all the days paper who have cared for me and there was some nurses that I don't remember the night nurse is named. But they all have been excellent. They know what they're doing and they're super super kind and I'd like to also speak upon my Doctor miss Christine, I believe it's her name and then there was a male Doctor Kane in at and he was very kind. So, what can I say bad about this place? Nothing They are a godsend for people like me who weren't able to go home immediately after the house pellet care, I'd never been in a place like this before, but I would recommend this place to anyone who is concerned about bringing a loved one for care. My 81 year old mom recently stayed at BJC Extended Care in Clayton after battling a terrible pneumonia infection at the hospital for 2 weeks. She came in on oxygen, unable to walk, or do much of anything on her own. Even eating a meal was challenging for her (so weak, struggled to cut up her meat, etc). After 4 weeks, she left walking with her walker again and off of oxygen! The Good: * All nurses/techs (overall). Shout-out to Tracy on the 2nd floor! * Very clean * Has an on-site respiratory therapist, which we really appreciated, since she came in using oxygen, but doesn't normally use it. they worked with her daily in order to ween her. Her nursing home, Manor Grove, where we have rehabbed her 3 other times, does not offer this, and we found is to helpful. * I never met any of the therapists, but assume they are pretty good, based on how quickly she re-gained her skills/strength after 2 solid weeks of wasting away in a hospital bed with terrible vital signs Needs-Improvement: * Front desk is obnoxious - their main job seems to be telling visitors exactly what time it is, kind of weird. Also, visiting hours over at 8:30pm, which is fine. But came down at 8:31pm one night (their elevators do take a while) and lady at front desk made me walk around to back door and exit into complete darkness and walk around the building b/c she had already locked up. * One 2nd floor aide, Debbie, is crabby and probably needs to retire. * Nurses/aides/staff were just fine leaving my mom with a non-working tv 2 different days, inc the day she checked in. You do a lot of sitting around by yourself, so kind of depressing to not have access to a tv. I had to get very proactive in contacting the guest concierge, Angela, to help me figure out why it wouldn't work the first time, and had to suggest that we look at the neighbor's tv to see where the remote was plugged into. Problem fixed! The 2nd time, no one was in any hurry to help her on the weekend, so I went into an empty room and grabbed a remote from a different tv, which worked as soon as I plugged it into my mom's tv, and I got chewed out by Debbie. I only took matters into my own hands b/c I had asked 2x over 2 hours if someone could help, and was simply told "maintenance will be in tomorrow morning". * During a movie in activity room one day, my mom was told that she had to go to the bathroom herself, without help, at a rehab center. What? So she went diarrhea in her pants, it got all over her recliner, etc. (they wheel them to the activity room in their recliners). I arrived just after the aide had changed her and put her into her wheelchair, I asked if she could clean the recliner, so mom didn't have to spend all afternoon/evening in her wheelchair. Was never cleaned - and still hadn't been cleaned as of 1pm the following day. However, a supervisor was then super helpful in getting it cleaned up and gathering the details when I asked to speak to a supervisor. * This was the first rehab experience/facility where we didn't have a family meeting to discuss progress Overall, good experience and will return if the need for rehab after a hospital stay ever arises again. Way more good than bad, and I really appreciated the pleasant attitude of so many there. A nice break from her skilled nursing home, where many of the staff are very unprofessional with zero follow-through.

The admissions coordinator Angela W. was amazing! From start to finish she was an integral part of care. She made the transition easy and she was very informative and by the book. I appreciate her attention to detail and her caring nature. I can also say that about the staff. My mom admitted on a non-shower day however the staff cleaned her up so that she would lay in the bed in clean clothes but a dirty body. That meant a lot. They cared for her as I would and were very attentive as well. Highly recommend this facility!

They said they didn't have it. After she got back to my house to let me know what they said, Ten minutes later they called and said they had it.
