My mother has been at Fairmont for a post hospital rehab stint for the past week. She is at the point in life where she needs significant assistance. Yesterday was the "kicker". I was there at lunch. Went home and something made me decide to go back at dinner. I found that they had put Mom to bed for the night instead of taking her to the dining room for dinner. I She's there to strengthen....that includes eating!!! Despite their complaints, thethrew some clothes on, insisted she didn't have eyeglasses (I found them on the roommates dresser)......for a facility with a good reputation, I am bitterly disappointed. ******* Update a week later:. I'm pleasantly surprised after my original review. Once Mom's goals/reason for being there were communicated everything fell into place. The aids and nurses are wonderful!!!! I will update again in another week.

My wife, Kathy, and I have been residence of Breckenridge Village since 2015, and we have found it to be an excellent choice for retirement living. We enjoy the many events and social activities, the excellent dinning facility, and the beautiful grounds and surroundings. I really appreciate being relieved of home maintenance and repairs. It's a great place to live.

If you like to be busy, you would never be looking for something to do, thanks to the amazing Activities Dept. Further, all of the staff treats the residents with kindness and respect.

We have very much enjoyed living at Breckenridge. One reason for moving here was the continuing care option, which takes the worry from your children if you can no longer live independently. We feel lucky to have so many activities and trips offered on and off campus.The staff and administration are responsive to residents needs. Another benefit is that Breckenridge is located in an area surrounded with good shopping, restaurants, and proximity to Cleveland.

I have been a resident of Grace Woods since December 2015 and have never regretted moving here. The accommodations are beautiful with lovely natural surroundings outdoors. The food is outstanding with many choices every day. No maintenance problems. Need a light bulb replaced? It's taken care of for you. The staff are all so caring and friendly and the residents all become your family. No time to get bored here as there are so many activities available. And, when needed, there is transportation available, either in a bus or a car. A great place to live.

My husband and I moved here 9-1/2 years ago to be closer to one of our kids. From the start we found an environment of active, friendly residents and wonderful staff who go out of their way to help and always with a smile. We have loved the variety of activities: exercise classes including in a wonderful warm therapy pool; book groups, study groups on various topics, art classes, concerts, trips to theater and restaurants. Our Independent living ranch home is perfect for us, with a lovely patio behind us where we can enjoy a lovely warm day.. My husband recently passed away from his long fight with Parkinsons. I felt a wonderful support from residents and staff. I am ver;y grateful that we moved here with all the support we have had..

I would like to thank the entire Breckenridge team for helping my mother get back on her feet after being in a car accident during the holiday season. To me, two things stand out about living here: 1. We have a friendly, hard-working, approachable staff who bend over backwards to help us. 2. Our Veale Wellness Center offers a huge variety of classes, has a professional physical therapy staff available, a great therapy pool, exercise equipment, and a pub area where friends can gather.

I have lived at Breckenridge in a ranch for over 10 years. I have spacious living quarters, easy access to the many activities at the Village, and easy access to the larger community. I enjoy the soothing swimming pool and the fitness room. Meeting others at various events keeps me stimulated.The staff is always helpful and responsive when I have a problem. The residents are friendly. We do need more bridge players, though!

My wife an dI have been residents in a beautiful apartment in Grace Woods for over 4 years now. We have enjoyed it immensely. All members of the staff, be it culinary, wait, maintenance, security, life enrichment or at the wellness center have been concerned caring partners in allowing us to make the most of life. We cannot say enough in praise of them. Brecken ridge Village provides a wide range of housing opportunities and activity levels. It is great!

I have lived at Ohio Living Breckenridge Village for over six years and would like to share some of my experience. My number one need is for safety which, as the experts tell us is the number one need for all people. The Security Officers do a great job in helping residents stay safe. They patrol regularly, answer emergency calls, and make sure residents are accounted for each morning and evening. My second need is for socialization. This area is comprehensive. I have learned new skills in IPad, which have been helpful in daily living. Trips, lectures, and classes area available on various subjects. One of my favorite programs has been season tickets for the world famous Cleveland Orchestra. In summary, I feel I made the best choice.

The Veale Wellness Center here at Breckenridge Village has helped me enormously. Their physical therapists are excellent. I came to them with a balance problem and vertigo. After a thorough evaluation, they created a personalized exercise plan for me and coached me one-on-one for several weeks. I see a great improvement in my balance and posture, and my vertigo is gone!!

I have lived at BV for over 10 years and have found it a great place to live! The staff is super caring and helpful. Life is busy here with so many activities - it's hard to pick and choose. I enjoy the pool and exercise classes. I couldn't have found a better place to enjoy my retirement years.

This is a wonderful place to live--=old friends, new friends, and a caring staff.John and I live in a ranch and are grateful that the grass in the summer and the snow in the winter are taken care of. With a variety of activities campus wide and opportunities at Veale Wellness Center, one never runs out of things to do. Living here gives our children and us peace of mind.

My wife and I moved into our ranch home over three years ago and have enjoyed the experience perhaps more than we would have expected. However, we truly experienced the benefits after a high speed car crash (not our fault) in Indiana during late November. Our professional staff worked closely with us during the trauma/ICU stay in Indiana to arrange medical transport to Fairmount Health Center here at Breckenridge for extensive in-patient rehabilitation and eventual transfer to our ranch home with continued out-patient rehab using the physical therapy practice at our Veale Health and Wellness Center on campus. It's difficult to imagine any competing organization performing better than Ohio Living Breckenridge Village in our situation.

I also enjoy the trips. I do not have family in the area so I enjoy the friendships I have made here and the support I can count on. I appreciate all the benefits.

After living in the same home for 40 years, my husband, Sam, and I moved into a beautiful, updated ranch in Breckenridge Village in June of 2018. Our eight months here have been a great experience - wonderful neighbors and helpful staff. Because we are still working, we've been unable to participate in many of the classes, trips and activities offered, but know we'll fully enjoy the social life of the campus once we officially retire. Convenience, great location, no concern about maintenance, no worries about burdening our children. No regrets!

My wife and I have been here 8 years and it has worked out perfectly for us. We live in a Ranch on a quiet street with a large wooded area behind us. We have a dog and the complex has several paths as well as sidewalks. We moved here so that our children would not half to worry about us. They do but they don't need too! We have many new friends as well.

Great place to work for in terms of benefits and pay. In terms of fair treatment and drama between employees its worse than highschool ive never experienced such gross misconduct or rudeness from coworkers or employers before. That said the residents are amazing and the place is beautiful. The job itself is great! Its the people behind the curtain that needs some serious work.

I have good news and not so good news about this company. The good news is that this place is looks amazing inside and out. Met the CEO of the company and you can see his heart, he was professional, uplifting and charming. However, the not so good news is; this retirement community needs to improve on being a little more diverse. Rehabilitation services for the most part seemed to be great. STNAs seemed overwhelmed, over worked. My family is of color and we did noticed racism, not from everyone but it only takes one bad apple. I'm concerned for anyone who is not from the European or Caucasian background. I could only imagine what the employees of any ethnic background experience each day. Definitely seems like this could be a hostile work environment. If you have the money and time to wait on the waiting list , I encourage you to get your own opinion of this place first.
