My mom will soon be there 30 days for short time care. She is 90 yrs old and had a car accident. No other place will take people that have been in an accident., they claim there is too much paperwork even when a patient needs therapy to be able to go home. She's getting therapy everyday. They offer activities The staff there at Charlestown Place are very nice and helpful. I would recommend them.

Over the last decade and a half I've had direct experience with 4 or 5 nursing home/assisted living facilities for either rehabiliation or end of life circumstances. I can say that Charlestown Place ranks well above the others. My family and I were pleasantly surprised not only with the friendliness of a handful of staff, but that of all staff. When passing through the various hallways to reach my Mom's wing, consistently, for 2 months, we were greeted warmly by the staff we passed and likewise there was alway polite and friendly interaction amongst themselve. Mom's situaton was hospice based, and she was tended to by non-facility employed nurses for the core of her medical care. Rather than using that as a reason to be disinterested/detached; the C-town Place nurses and aids were caring, careful, respectful and genuinely concerned for my Mom. Again let me stress this was not one nurse or aid...it was the consistent them whether I was visiting on the weekend or my sister was visiting during the week. Can not express enough how the experience impacted us and helped to ease the concerns we had in Mom's final days.

Hats off to the Charlestown team. My Mom has received great care . My Mom was supposed to go to a 5 star home who gave her bed away. We received the gift of a bed at Charlestown. The team is friendly, knowledgeable and really care. They are genuine and always go out of there way for Mom. Thank you for making my Mom's stay a wonderful experience to the whole team.

Everyone here has been genuinely concerned about my treatment and welfare. They are a great bunch of professionals and they do their jobs very well. They allow my pups to visit and that is as therapeutic to me as anything!

My grandmother who was in her 90s spent quit a bit of time here and ultimately it became her home at end of life.She was able to have Gentiva Hospice caring for her along with the facility staff which made for such great team work with my family who were very involved. This was back during Covid so it was tough. My family had great things to say about the staff on the memory care unit. I have also worked along side this staff back when I worked as a hospice nurse and I have to say everyone was always so welcoming and kind to me as an outsider.

I am very grateful and honored to say I am the Director of Nursing to such a wonderful place! It has not been an easy 4 months to say the least but we have made great strides in improving patient outcomes, remodeling and hiring staff that only provide exceptional care for our residents! I expect no less than that! Please come see our facility and tour our newly opened rehab to home hall. Everyday with this wonderful team shows me exactly how residents and patients love our facility and all the improvements have been worth every second! Shared on behalf of a recent short term resident, Judy: "The facility has a lot of character and feels like home to the residents who live here and who are here for a short time. My therapy was fabulous and I received treatment for lymphedema in my legs and was able to discharge home with my husband in a short time. I am also returning to the facility for outpatient therapy. I would recommend anyone who needs rehab to come to Charlestown Place."

We are very pleased with the care and attention our mother is receiving. The staff has painted her fingernails several times, and sometimes they braid her hair. Very friendly staff.

My mom has been to several rehabs in southern Indiana as well as Louisville. Hands down this place has provided the best service. The nursing staff takes pride in the care they give to their patients and the therapy folks have gone above and beyond to help my mom with letting ready for appointments. The food is always tasty and served hot. She even has one nurse that helps her make hot tea which is not something in her job description. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The social service person is outstanding and so patient. Tiffany Cassidy Cecil and all the others. Thank you sooooo much.

My mother has been a resident of Charlestown Place for about 21 months. She receives excellent care and attention and we are so thankful we were able to get her into this particular facility. The staff are always attentive and helpful when we have a concern. I can't think of a better place for my mother to be.

Could be great but scheduler uses the workers until it no longer benefits them. Picked up a shift last min to help out because they was short then got lied on saying i left early even though it was approved ahead of time. They stay short staffed but run off good workers i feel so sorry for the residents.

Charlestown Place is the best facility for rehabilitation and therapy. The physical and occupational therapists are the absolute best. With their help I was able to get specialized treatment that helped me recover quickly and get back in my feet! I would recommend them to anyone needing the best therapy in the Floyd and Clark County area in Southern Indiana! And a special thanks to my therapists, Beth, Jennifer, Jaymie, Mitch and Mark!

This is the 2nd facility that my mom had been placed in. It's perfect! It's clean, the staff are friendly and professional and it's homey. I highly recommend them.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the care received during Respite Stay! We had consistency of care with the same nurse and aide within the facility taking care of her, meal tray options with alternatives, a working television with channels to her liking. We will consider any future needs with Charlestown Place in regards to care!
