I recently submitted a job application for an overnight caregiver position that was posted on Indeed. The job posting did not include instructions stating the necessity to submit a second application on their website, but nonetheless, someone named Catalina emailed me, thanking me for my Indeed application and asking me to complete another one on the Avamere career website. She included a link which led to their whole list of jobs and not the specific one I was applying for. Nonetheless, I combed through the entire list of Portland area jobs and couldn't find a caregiver listing for Avamere Bethany. I responded to the email and said in respectful and professional wording that the corresponding job listing doesn't exist on their website and asked for assistance or guidance on next steps. I also asked why they were requesting submission of another application if they received my application on Indeed, and offered to resend my resume. I did not receive a response to my request for assistance, so I sent a follow-up email about a week later. I still did not receive a response. Today I received an automated message on Indeed informing me the job was closed and I wasn't selected. I think it's really sad when there are so many employers hurting for workers, and caregiving is no exception, that potential job candidates are treated this way. It sends the message that they don't value and respect my time the same way I value theirs. And it also just doesn't reflect well on the employer overall—if this is what their hiring process is like, then what's it like actually being employed there? Anyway, I'm super bummed, but there are lots of other places looking for caregivers.

Our sister has lived at Avamere at Bethany for nearly 2 years. Even through these hard times she has been safe and mostly happy. Her new kitten, Mitty has also found a home in her apartment. The center is beautiful and the staff is helpful. We appreciate everyone there.

Highly recommend Avamere @ Bethany senior assisted living community. My father is celebrating his one year anniversary and has benefited in all aspects of his life from the living accommodations, community, and outstanding care. I Am Not Mature Or Seasoned Enough To Resided At This Stunning Oasis. However, My External View Shows Off The Perfect Grounds. If They Care For Their People Like The Lands...Your Family Has No Worries. The Veins Of Spiteful Trails, Linger Outside The Small Walls. Plenty Of Other Exploring Views. The facility here is quite comfortably and cozy. Staff here are kind, caring, and have done a great job in caring for the residents. In seeing reviews from others around the area, your mileage may vary depending on your families unique circumstance and so not all experiences are the same. My dad loved this place. Great staff, food, and activities. He was happiest at this facility and had dementia. We loved the staff and facility.
