For the past 2 month, Havenwood has been my Mom and Dad's new home. Each visit reminds my sister's and I how fortunate we feel for choosing Havenwood. But within the first few days, I witnessed how truly amazing the Havenwood team is. My Dad's falling brought my parents to their new home. And within 3 days my Dad fell. Not remembering to push the emergency button in their bathroom, he called me to rush down to help. On a separate phone, we alerted the staff of what had happened. What happened was simply amazing. Still listening on my Dad's phone, I heard the staff jump into action to help with encourgaement, kindness, consideration and humor. Hearing the staff do their jobs so well filled me with confidence and gratitude. My parents are truly receiving the best care possible.

I was at Havenwood today visiting my father. I overheard Kristin on a tour with potential residents. She was doing an amazing job describing all the benefits of Havenwood. Every time I see her, she always has a smile on her face. She treats my father with respect and will always bring a smile to his face and make him laugh. I couldn't think of a better place for my father to live.

A friend of mine recommended Havenwood for my Mom, as his Mom was and currently is a resident. We had toured several different facilities and Havenwood stood out as it was a new building with large apartments, upscale appliances, friendly staff, and competitive prices. My mom lived in the independent living area for 3 years. She had a fabulous 1 bedroom apartment. She made many friends and was able to participate in many activities. She played bingo, exercised in the gym, attended building wide happy hours, as well as small group get togethers with the friends she made on the fourth floor. She transitioned to assisted living for a short period, where she enjoyed the meals and fellowship in the dining hall, before having to enter the memory care facility. It was difficult to see my mom suffer through the decline associated with dementia, but the understanding and care of the memory care team made the difficult journey more easy to bear. Melissa and her team provided ongoing activities that my Mom enjoyed, and personal assistance that gave my family peace of mind. Sarah, head of nursing services, kept us apprised of my Mom's changing condition, and coordinated with the wonderful nurses at Minnesota Hospice, to keep my mom comfortable. In the last days of her life, the nurses and care staff were amazing. Melissa and Tasha have hearts of gold, and the rest of the staff such as Tiffany, Silver, Ingrid and Willow were constantly by her side in her final hours and kept her comfortable. After her passing we felt it appropriate to have her service at the Havenwood community room. We appreciate Julies's help in coordinating. Chaplain Grace took care of all the logistics and conducted a wonderful service. Kristin, with assistance from Dawnn, as well as the kitchen and serving staff, oversaw all of our needs, sacrificing their time on the weekend to guarantee we had an amazing send off for mom. When my parents needed to be closer to a family member and it was determined that they would move from Oregon to Minnesota, looking for their new home was daunting. Who/where could possibly have all the necessities and yet make it feel like home? In our search, we found Kristin and Havenwood. In reality, we had found their home! The facility is beautiful! Well kept, exceptionally clean and vibrant, with a variety of activities for residents to join if they wish. The chef, Terrence, makes all meals by scratch and knows every resident by name! The front desk crew knows our family by name and is always truly happy to see us and beyond helpful! Kristin was who really exemplified what Havenwood was-a true community and family. She patiently met with us, answered all of our questions and wonderings quickly and never tired of our many wonderings. She is genuine and immediately we felt that moving my parents half way across the country was the right and best move for them, as Kristin and staff have become part of our family! Highly recommend!!

This place has staffing issues. Laundry doesn't seem to be getting done at all. Yet you pay for it. A premium charge for a "holiday" meal as well. For instance, Easter. A regular ham dinner is served. Not sure why this should be more than a regular dinner. Great location, beautiful newer building hence the 3 stars

I can't say enough wonderful things about Havenwood. My mother has Parkinson's and has been on her own since Dad passed away so she was very nervous about this transition but Kristin and company rolled out the red carpet to a beautiful community full of vibrant people and a variety of activities for her to enjoy everyday. Anytime I've ever had a question I get a call back immediately if somebody doesn't just answer the phone straight away. I'll be the first person to say that my mom is "very particular" *wink* and the staff always greet all of her requests with a smile and prompt service. It makes the place my husband and I live in look like a slumland lol Thank you again Havenwood for changing my mother's quality of life and helping her enjoy as much independence as she can in this chapter of her life. She loves all of her new friends, both the residents and the staff!

My Grandpa moved into Havenwood a little over a year ago. The staff has been exceptional in all aspects. They have made it their mission to ensure he is right at home. I am extremely thankful for all Havenwood of Burnsville has done for my Grandpa! Kristin, the sales director, has also been extremely helpful throughout the process. Upon my mothers passing, we needed to find dad a new place to live. We check out most (if not all) continuum of care living places in the south metro area. When dad walked into Havenwood and met Kristin, he said "this is it, this is my new home!" When we met Kristin, we immediately felt and experienced her love, care, compassion, and concern for dad's well-being. She and her staff welcomed dad with open arms. After touring this amazing Havenwood of Burnsville senior living community for our 87 year old mom, we thought it was almost too good to be true! The warm, genuine welcome by all the staff and residents was unbelievable! Everyone was so friendly and inclusive. The place is impeccable and offers so many wonderful amenities to make life much easier as you age. Not to mention 5 star dining with food made from scratch! Yes, unbelievable but so true. Check it out!

Recently we began the process of finding an 2 bedroom/2 bath assisted living apartment in the south metro area for my in-laws. Havenwood had one available and we scheduled an appointment with Kristin Burns to see the apartment. From the minute we walked in the door we knew this would be the perfect spot for them. Kristin and the rest of the staff greeted us warmly and the tour of the facility was remarkable. The apartment couldn’t have been more beautiful and the amenities were amazing! We signed the lease papers and scheduled a move in date. Sadly, my in-laws were never able to move in as my mother in law passed away the day after we signed the lease and my father in law no longer needed such a big apartment. Kristin handled this turn of events with so much empathy for our family! In addition, the chaplain, Carl called me with his concern and sympathy for our family, even though my in laws had never moved in, nor had he met them. We are sad that they never had the chance to enjoy life at Havenwood, but every member of our family would highly recommend them as the perfect place for your loved ones!

I can't say enough about Havenwood. The environment is so warm and welcoming. The staff have been so helpful, going above and beyond for us. When we moved our loved one in, Kristin and Brileigh went out of their way helping to make it a smooth and quick transition.

I moved here the beginning of June 2022, and absolutely love it. The staff is wonderful and so are the residents. Although I am independent and tend toward solitary pursuits, Havenwood offers plenty of social activities for those who desire them, and the amenities are superb.

I can't say enough about the staff and leadership at Havenwood of Burnsville. Both of my parents are in their care and they could not be in a better place. Havenwood's focus is on meeting the needs of their residents and they do a remarkable job. I sleep well at night, knowing my parents are in good hands. When my family and I came to tour Havenwood, we met with Kristin Burns - She is your person. Having Kristin as the "face" of the facility was the number one reason why we chose Havenwood as a memory care facility for my dad. Kristin was not only kind, she was also warm and so genuine while sharing what Havenwood was about - not trying to simply sell us on a package. In the process of talking about the facility, Kristin and I wound up crying together as she shared how they honor people who have passed; giving them a final quilt send off with love from the caregivers who spend much of the persons finals days together. As a family, we hoped that she was a reflection of the culture of Havenwood, and we weren't wrong. Havenwood has been a needle in a haystack for memory care and we couldn't be happier. The staff, after a month or so of caring for our dad, have done more than just the bare minimum. They have been providing genuine engagement and thoughtful care, and not just when family is looking. They seem to care as if our person is also their loved one. Havenwood is a rare place and I would recommend it, and Kristin as a lead, to anyone looking for a place for their family.

I love this place. It is very very nice. So much better than other places I’ve seen. The staff here is very positive & upbeat. Kristen in sales has been very cooperative & has a great attitude with residents. I could not have asked for a better liaison in senior living facilities to reside in. This is a wonderful place. Kristin is awesome and showed me around the facility. She is a great asset to Havenwood. My husband is is a resident here and I am so happy with the excellent care that he is receiving. I checked out several places and was totally convinced that this was the best place for him. The rooms are so much nicer than anything that I had looked at.

My mother was at Havenwood of Burnsville. We had the greatest experience working with the entire staff. They were extremely caring! They guided our family through a difficult transition when our mother moved from her own home to Assisted Living. The facility is beautiful and we couldn't have selected a better place for her care!

We moved my dad into Havenwood and it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Everyone made to not only know my dad’s name, but mine as his essential caregiver as well. Lola, the building director, is a God send and went above and beyond what she is required to do in her role. Elizabeth, the Nursing Director, is amazing as well and was so helpful in navigating my dad’s increasing health care needs and providing us with care options that met his needs. They (along with the rest of the staff) made a very stressful time in our lives so much easier! I highly recommend Havenwood! It is such a beautiful facility, but more importantly, the people make it a wonderful place to call home!

Moving to Havenwood of Burnsville was one of the best decision my wife and I have made in our more then six decades of marriage. Our new neighbors are delightful and the Havenwood staff is extremely competent and friendly. We have experienced an increase in freedom plus relief from the burden of private home ownership and we are not a burden to our kids. You hear much about the downside of growing old but not here. We are here to live our life to the fullest.
