Although there is no place like home, The Welsh Home goes over and beyond to make you and your loved one feel at home. From the people who greet you at the door, the loving nurses, the kitchen staff and everyone in between they all make you feel supported and safe. My husband spent months in and out of the hospital, acute rehab and had a couple stays at The Welsh Home. The best care we received was at The Welsh Home without a doubt. We are grateful for the staff at the Welsh Home and recommend to anyone who needs a short or long term place to stay.

As I read some of these reviews. I am VERY SHOCKED. First I would like to say I am so sorry you experienced those bad experiences. But for me I disagree with a lot. First BED BUGS ?? Unbelievable. This place is highly top with CLEANLINESS. EVERY shift at lease THREE TIMES. On EACH SHIFT . Must wipe down andDISINFECT EVERY HIGHLY TOUCHED AREA. EVERY Equipment MUST BE DISINFECTED AFTER EVERY RESIDENT USE! Housekeeping DO AN amazing JOB! Maintenance highly use disinfected MACHINES THAT SPRAYED AND CLEANED AIR. IF ANY BED BUGS WERE AT THIS Facility they must been brought there . And most employees in office, are MARRIED TO DARK SKINED PEOPLE AND HAVE DARK SKIN FAMILY MEMBERS. It's no way this place is RACIST! And for Bridget she is one of thee most HELPFUL AND KIND NURSES THERE ALONE WITH SUSAN, CONNIE. So if anyone had a problem with you it probably was your attitude or laziness. Julianne. Is always on the floor and do an amazing job as a DON . Toya keep everything TOGETHER AND KEEP YOU HIGHLY EDUCATED. SARA IS ALWAYS ON THE FLOOR AS WELL AND MAKE USE EVERYTHING IS TOTALLY ON POINT. KELLY IS AMAZING. We didn't have One case when we were on lockdown! No why! Proper PPE AND HIGHLY CLEAN AN DISAFFECTED. Only case we had when government started to allowing families members to visit again. And they wasn't keep their MASK ON AND TAKING IT OFF IN RESIDENT ROOMS. Again I don't know your true EXPERIENCE. But it's UNBELIEVABLE. I don't know how my first review got deleted. BUT AGAIN I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. My experience here at welsh home has been very pleasant' thee best facility to work at. Aides don't get no more then 6-8 residents. THEREFORE THE RESIDENT GETS Quality Care and DECADE CAEE . They get to know their aides and the aides get to know their residents. By SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH THEM .

Our mom went to the Welsh Home initially for recovery and therapy after hip surgery in February of 2023. We then made the decision to move her there as a permanent resident, due to her declining health related to Parkinson's disease. She remained at the Welsh Home until she died this past November. Our family was very pleased with the care Mom received, and the entire staff (kitchen, cleaning, laundry, nursing, aides, activity) was attentive to her needs. Our family was always warmly greeted by the front desk staff. The kitchen learned Mom's preferences and prepared foods that she enjoyed and was able to eat. She always got an extra cup of hot coffee and an ice cream after dinner! In the summer months, we took advantage of the beautiful patio and several times had meals outside in the pavilion. The nursing staff was kind and treated Mom as if she was special. We also appreciate that the staff took the time to get to know our family and make us all feel comfortable. Because one of us was always there at dinner time, they provided a comfortable table where we could sit with and visit our Mom. Whenever we left the Welsh Home, we felt assured that our mom was in good hands. On a side note, our uncle was also at the Welsh Home for several months recovering from medical issues. We were pleased with the care he received as well.

I have worked at the welsh home for almost 12 years. I would not want to work for any other management team. I have coworkers that are like family. As far as care of the residents go it's the best around. I also have a family member residing at the welsh home and I wouldn't want her anywhere else. I am always confident that she is receiving tender loving care and her needs are being met. Welsh Home provides me with an awesome place to work and most of all peace of mind knowing that my loved one is in very good hands.

The Welsh Home in Rocky River, Ohio is an outstanding home for elder care. Our mother has been a resident for the past 5 years and we are continually impressed by the level of care and service provided by Sarah Koch and her excellent staff. We have great peace of mind in trusting our mother's care to the Welsh Home staff. They treat our mother as if she is their family member. The love and care our mother receives from the Welsh Home staff is greatly appreciated and truly outstanding. We highly recommend the Welsh Home to any family needing assistance with elder care. The Welsh Home does a fantastic job with Memory Care. Alzheimer's and Dementia. The staff provide 24 hour round the clock care. The first thing you will notice is how professional and serious the staff take their jobs in this noble work. If you are in need of this type of care for your loved one - put the Welsh Home first on your list and come in for a visit. The Welsh Home is a great HOME all around. From the management team, nursing staff, dietary department, housekeeping, etc. Everyone really makes you feel welcomed. I have been an employee for quite awhile and really wish I would've applied sooner there is such an appreciation for their team and lots of opportunities for growth. **Update** My mom was back at the Welsh Home again. 3 yrs from the last time. Most of the staff was still there. They remembered my mom. She had great therapy and she is now back home. This place is just amazing. My mom has had to spend 4X at the Welsh home. The staff and therapy is out of this world. Highly recommend this amazing facility for your loved one. Thanks Welsh Home for all you do...for mom and for accommodating my families needs.

I know making decisions regarding where to place family members is hard but I sincerely hope that you consider the Welsh home. The care our mother received from Nursing, social services, therapy, house keeping, laundry, maintenance and the meal preparation team was outstanding. At no point did we ever feel like our mother was not in great hands. We actually felt that their team over communicated with us. We could go on and on with how well things went. Unfortunately, our mother passed a way last week but we will always remember the new friends and actually family members my mother had at Welsh. Sincerely, Dan Jarachovic

Our mom spent several years at The Welsh Home. We were always confident that she was receiving the best care possible. Every employee we met was professional, friendly and conscientious; several went above and beyond their duties to give our mom special attention that they knew she'd appreciate. The Welsh Home's response to COVID was incredible: proactive and creative in their efforts to keep residents safe and connected to their families. We'd like to single out The Gathering Place (activities) staff for their attention to residents during that difficult time. If a family has to make the difficult decision to find long-term care for their relative, we would recommend The Welsh Home above all other facilities.

My mother has now stayed at the Welsh Home four times. The facility itself is bright, clean, and cheerful. The staff are consistently welcoming, attentive, professional, and responsive to the needs of patients and their families. They were also proactive and communicative during the ever-changing pandemic restrictions. It is the only place my mom elects to stay for her rehabilitation. P.S. Family pets are allowed to visit and cheer up their humans.
