Checked my mom in today for a rehab assignment. Met with the friendliest happiest people! Her room is perfect! The facility is clean and pretty! When walking the halls we stopped to listen to a man singing with an accompanying pianist. Lovely! Everything was aesthetically pleasing but most of all every worker was over the top!!!!!

If I could give this place ten stars I would. Recently had a love one needing long term care and had no clue about nursing homes I only heard the horror stories. I was told to call highland home and speak with Mrs Landing let me just say she’s God sent. She gave me and my siblings a tour, a Medicaid application, and a list of other facilities who may have an opening at the time. She is genuine and very spiritual. We talked about faith and letting God lead us to the right facility however I feel highland would be the right place but they had no immediate opening. Special kudos to Mrs landing for helping us and giving me helpful advice. She is the best thing that has happen to me and my family in a long time. Highland home you have a jewel

I've often heard about Highland Home. Today was my first opportunity to visit. From the entry way with the rocking chair to my entrance into the foyer area, it was a warm feeling of "home". Each employee that I encountered was so helpful. I loved the sign-in method. I left feeling that this would be the place I'd like to be if ever I required a nursing home stay. I love this place!

This place has wonderful staff. My mother has shown improvements and has only been there for a week and a half. The aides make sure they are clean and that they don't lay around in the bed all day . The nurses and aides are wonderful along with the admission staff.

Highland Home was a God-send to my family and I. After a family member had a severe stroke, we were told that HH was the best for therapy and care. Our prayer was that we would be able to get accepted and get a bed due to it being one of the top facilities in the state. To our surprise they were able to bring us in immediately! Not only was the staff EXCELLENT, but the experience our loved one had was one he said he enjoyed and truly appreciated, as he was able to progress TREMENDOUSLY under their care. The rooms were very tidy and spacious, the food was good, and the therapists, nurses and administrators were all extremely kind, accessible, thorough, and caring. I cannot thank this facility enough for living up to it's reputation of truly being one of the best care facilities in the state. We have never experienced a health crisis in our family, and to be able to feel confident and comfortable leaving a loved on in the care of such a facility was truly comforting. My dad has been in rehab here since May 2nd. After a long hospital stay, home is the only place we wanted to go, but he had to have rehab. The best choice we made was Highland Home. The facility is great, the rooms are great, and the staff, nurses, aids, therapists, front office staff, dietitians, and activity director are all wonderful. My husband had a stroke and since he has been in Highland for rehab it has been wonderful. Everytime he pushes call button his CNA comes straight in with a very cheerful and pleasant attitude and takes care of all his needs. His meals are very appetizing and taste very good. His nurses are always very sweet and caring and gentle. His Therapy staff are top notch. I see a change in his ability to move around more than when first came in. I would recommend Highland to anyone that needs rehab.

My father complains that his aide does not like him. When we visit, his cup never has NEW water in it. No ice. I wish this could change. My father gets dehydrated easily. Also, I wish my father was changed often. He wears a diaper and several times family members have walked into his room and he is soaking wet. His room also smells really bad. Just need to do better.
