Reviews West Suburban Nursing & Rehab
September 2025
My review of West Suburban is mixed. Pros: The physical therapy is a good program. The gym is well equipped with machines. Margie runs the program Very Well. The therapists are helpful and like their work there. This area is the Nursing Homes Best asset. Plus the floor is not sticky there. The daily meals are not bad overall. Balanced well and low carb. The food comes out on schedule. There is a phone on the floor desks available for anyone to use for free to call home or wherever. Cons: The floors are sticky wherever you go (except for the gym). The elevators require a passcode to get on and go to other floors. This is a joke, because patients know the codes and go wherever they please. Some ride the halls day and night on their motorized carts. They are noisy and plug up the hall foot traffic. If you are only allowed the 20 days under medicare, watch them like a hawk. One employee counted mine wrong twice and tried to set me up with 21 days. You can be sure that I woulda been billed $$hundreds of dollars for the extra day that Medicare would not cover. Apparently some patients get away with washing their dirty clothes in the bathroom sink and cause puddles on the floor. I rate the overall facility as 3 of 5 stars.

West sub nursing home has its ups and downs just like every other place the difference here is the team and management truly care and try to help. they are physically on the floor and being Hands-On which I appreciated while I was here. Them being present truly makes a difference when you have problems which they help you address. they are an untouchable Force as a team and see you as part of their work family while you are a resident here for rehab. they go out of their way to help. Thank you for all of you and what you have done for me.
