I am a nurse with over 20 years experience in multiple areas of healthcare and let me just say the Alura has been wonderful to my grandfather and our family. He started out at another facility in Brevard and we quickly moved him into Assisted living at Alura because it is one of the only Senior Living Facilities that allows 1-2 bedrooms for assisted care, most are are studios. Also, the activities and dining include both assisted and independent residents in the same area. When you enter the facility you are greeted by staff with a smile. We eventually moved him over to Memory Care, where he has been for over a year. The entire staff in Memory Care (director, care techs, laundry, maintenance, housekeeping, DON, and nurses) really care about the residents, I visit every day and see their interactions. They frequently host different events and take residents out to eat. They truly care for my grandfather and he is happy there. He tells me he is exactly where he needs to be with a smile.

Alura is a wonderful place! My mother-in-law lives there and receives excellent care. The staff is friendly and kind. The food is really good and plentiful: there are two entree choices daily, plus a list of staples that can be ordered anytime. One of the things that truly sets Alura apart from the other places we visited is the activities offered! There is something going on daily, and there are numerous crafts offered each week. Each Wednesday is Wine Down Wednesday with musical entertainment, wine, and snacks. The Activites Staff really goes above and beyond, planning meaningful experiences and including everyone. Recently, they planned a fabulous Mother's Day Tea as a treat for everyone! If you are looking for care for a loved one in the area, please check into Alura!

So my 99 year old grandmother lives here. I haven’t seen her since the last home she stayed in. Such a difference. My grandmother had an entirely different spunk. David, Lisa, and Indra were the people I met and observed while being there for half a day. I had tears in my eyes knowing they actually cared about my grandmother. No phony gestures or such. A actual relationship with her. She’s happy, looks forward to the events, and eats well! I am over exited that my grandmother is in a really great environment yes, I spent half a day there and had no other to leave. Plenty of amenities and things to do for the visiting families. We have been residents of Alura Assisted Living for over two years and are very pleased with our choice. There are many events that the Activities team (Ruth, Lisa and Ann) plan for us, as well as bringing in entertaining musical guests weekly. The very capable kitchen staff, along with executive chef Chrysta, plan, prepare and serve a variety of meals daily. The nursing staff, under our recently appointed Director of Nursing (Kim, who is very familiar with residents and aware of Alura practices and procedures since she was appointed from existing nursing staff, good choice) is always available and very visible throughout the community. Caregivers tend to our needs, and are available 24/7. Residents formed a choir, Alura Songbirds, and thanks to the leadership of Celeste, choir director, performed for the residences on a number of special occasions during 2024 (Mother’s Day, Fourth of July, Fall Festival, Christmas Tree Lighting, Christmas concert) and we look forward to additional celebrations in 2025. Housekeeping staff members ensure rooms are cleaned weekly and are also available when needed. And of course all of these directors, managers and staff members are under the leadership of our Executive Director Rose. She is always available, as she really does have an “open door” policy. She truly cares for the residents and is highly visible throughout the community. All of the administrative staff members are caring and continue to work for the safety and comfort of the residents. Don’t hesitate to make an appointment with our new hospitality director to tour Alura. You may find your new home! Imagine, no more cooking, house cleaning, washing dishes, or planning things to do! Bingo anyone??

Mom has been at Alura since March and i can't say enough about the MC and DON Krystal. If it wasn't for her nothing would get done and I would have most likely already moved Mom again by now. If there's an issue it doesn't get remedied until I talk with her about it. The nurses are awesome and several of the newbies are too, but I can always count on her to listen and fix a situation. Believe me when I say it matters when you have such an amazing director who listens and cares! You can tell she loves the residents and wants nothing but THE VERY BEST CARE for all of them!!

We have provided musical entertainment for the residents of Alura since the facility opened. From our view, both communities, the assisted living and the memory care divisions, are well maintained. There seems to be a good amount of caring staff who positively interact with their residents. The food always looks good, and so do the snacks we have seen. My mother in law is a resident of Alura and she loves it. She has stayed in two other senior living places in Melbourne and did not like it there. So, when Alura began showing the property we went and made a video of the place before it opened. My MIL thought she would like the upscale living it promised and the beautiful, large rooms. She moved in as soon as it was opened and now she is loving it. She has her circle of friends and they have parties together and go to dinner and lunch together. The facility is similar to a modern upscale hotel. Beautiful entry way with chandeliers and a cozy sitting area with a fireplace and a coffee bar. The dining room is stunning with chandeliers and plenty of comfortable seating. The tables allow for a wheelchair and the staff is super accommodating and helpful. The food is definitely delicious and they offer a wide variety of foods if you don’t like the featured meal. There is a salon, a movie theater, a bar a gym and a craft room. The staff decorates the entryway for each major holiday. It is super clean, also. If you are looking for a home for your parent(s) go and check it out. Well deserved 5 stars.

Seeing the changes they have recently implemented will really make this place better. They saw the flaws and rectified them. A new head of Memory care, a new head nurse, fabulous decision! And now the AMAZING MARY running some things with memory care, really takes it home. She is a gem, and one of the most competent, kindest and knowledgeable women there. She genuinely cares about the residents and it shows, same with Alexis and Kim the nurse. There are a few others but I don't know their names. I visited today and was pleased with what I saw. Lots more caregivers to care for the memory care residents which was a big need, most facilities would ignore the concerns but instead they stepped up, that was ROSEMARIE! She made this happen!! Way to go!! Very happy!!

I recently visited Alura Assisted Living Facility to begin planning for future family needs and was blown away by the facility. It is beautifully designed and decorated and feels more like a high end resort or luxury condo building rather than an assisted living facility. One of the standout features of Alura is its stunning courtyard, complete with a koi pond and gardening area for residents to enjoy. The social areas are equally impressive, with a movie theater, bars, game rooms, arts and crafts activities, and in-house fitness center with physical therapy services. It's clear that residents have a wide variety of options for staying active and engaged, and I was thrilled to see so many happy and smiling residents socializing during our visit. One of my favorite moments from our visit was seeing a group of men having such a good time playing cards together. The residents were enjoying dinner in the dining room during our visit. The daily specials and deserts that were presented for viewing looked delicious and like five-star cuisine. While we are not needing their facilities and services as of yet, I feel relieved and confident that we have found such a great home for our family member in the future.

My parents have been living here since August 2021 and have needed progressively more care until my mother passed. I have always found that staff thoughtful and dedicated and personable with my whole family. They clearly continue to care for my father's well being. Recently, there was a very public incident that involved two of the staff there, but I feel like the ownership has worked hard to address any lingering issues from this event and make sure it never happens again. On Thursday I was invited to attend a Hard Hat Tour of the new Alura by Inspired Living facility and even in its early stages of construction I was incredibly impressed at the attention to detail, this is truly a one of a kind facility.
