My father has been living at Coterie for the last 4 months on the memory care floors, first 5 and then 6. It has been a very difficult time for my family, but I want to point out one major bright spot. Since the day my dad moved in, Gifty has stood out. My dad and Gifty formed a strong bond from day one. She ingratiated herself to a man who isn't always easy to get along with. Her manner and her demeanor put my dad at ease and let him know that she really cares. She treats him like he is her own family, showing him so much kindness and attention. We have come in to contact with many people at Coterie and she is truly one-of-a-kind. I know someone who really cares is watching over him and I know she will keep me informed. She has called me at all times of the day and night - she is always available and always on top of everything. She is one of the most hard-working, reliable, trustworthy and caring people I have ever met. She truly is a "gift" and I can't even put into words what she has done for my dad and my family.

I searched all over Manhattan for the right place for Mom for assisted living and Coterie Hudson Yards was it -- far and beyond the best place we visited. Mom was one of the first people to move into the residence in January 2023 and she and I couldn't be more pleased. Beyond the beauty of the property, the high quality food, the great location and the lovely appointments to the rooms and facility on a whole, by far the best thing about Coterie is the amazing staff! Every singe member of the staff is so friendly, kind, warm and wanting to be of service. I love knowing my mother is in a place where she is truly cared for and safe. Where the staff know all the residents by name and the staff can be counted on to take the utmost care with a smile for the ones we love. To my mind Coterie is the best assisted living place in Manhattan! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our mom is about a month into her new home at the Coterie, and we could not be more appreciative of the tremendous care she's been receiving. Every member of the 5th floor memory care staff has been wonderful, and the director Amanda Clears has been a godsend. She's bright, positive and compassionate, and her warm heart and good spirit have made this move wonderful for our mom and our entire family.

Great place for my dad. He's been living there about a year now and his apartment is beautiful and he's grown attached to the caregivers and made friends with the staff and residents there. The location is fabulous as are the common areas and there is a doctor there on site every week. Special shoutouts to Joanna and Gifty, Lorie and Amanda, and the rest of the staff. Thanks for providing a warm and nurturing environment.

Amanda Clears is the Director of Memory Care and she has been very patient, caring, and upbeat with my husband and the other residents, easing them into acclimating into Coterie life. She always has a smile on her face and a big hug for everyone--residents and their family members as well. She is very welcoming and makes each person feel special. Embracing Ruth as part of the Coterie family is unique in my experience with memory care. Ruth has lived in Coterie Since 2/2023 I will forever be grateful... Losing a loved one to the ravages of dementia is awful. Coterie makes the best out of a terrible situation. I am thankful for the outstanding level of care they provide to Residents on the 5th Floor Memory Care unit. Their compassion, kindness, and patience are superlative. They keep the place immaculate. They put a lot of thought and resources into engaging the Residents with a multitude of structured activities, including supervised field trips off-premises to NYC cultural institutions such as MoMA and the Met. Special kudos to Amanda, the Director, whose passion and dedication to the well-being of both the Residents and their caretakers is frankly amazing. If I were so unfortunate as to have dementia, this is where I would want to reside and be taken care of.

People are the essence of the success and value of Coterie. Beautiful rooms, great public spaces, good food and other amenities will only go so far. Asked to pick out someone who is emblematic of what Coterie is all about my wife and I did not hesitate - AMANDA CLEARS! Yes all caps as we want to shout it out for all to hear. We have known Amanda for more than 2 years, that includes time before coming to Coterie. A more helpful, thoughtful, involved and caring person would be hard to find. Even keeled and great under stress makes for a better experience for the residents. If we could clone, she would be our first pick for getting more of her.

This is mom's 3rd memory unit and by far the best. Although the physical space is gorgeous, views expansive and rooms luxurious, the true difference is the amazing staff. They are interested, energetic, enthusiastic, kind. Too many to name but Amanda runs the memory floors smoothly, not an easy task, Jojo, Kashi and Khady have made mom's almost year there wonderful and the daily care exceptional. Dani makes every outing feel like a luxurious travel experience, and the dining staff including Jaylen make mom feel like an honored guest. Activities staff including Peach and Sondra truly amazing. Makes me tear up to watch what they do. You get what you pay for in this case, which is a lot. Very grateful that mom can spend this stage of her life here.

VERY PLEASANT, POSITIVE "CAN DO" STAFF, HELPFUL, WILLING. Apartments extremely quiet due to heavy walls and solid wood doors. Good facilities, clean, bright enormous windows. Food is excellent, though greater variety is desirable. Good care for those who need care, but not nearly needed by most residents. Good inhouse programs as well as outside trips.Gratuitous transportation around NYC area upon request.

We have been fortunate to be part of the Coterie community for slightly more than 6 months. My wife is part of the assisted living residents while I am an independent resident. It has been a great experience for many reasons. When asked my wife merrily answers that it is great to be here. What is great? We are fully cared for, including wonderful meals. We have had the opportunity to be more socially active than in the years prior to coming to Coterie. In addition to wonderful music experiences a few times a week, there are opportunities outside of the community at museums and other cultural events. When looking where to reside we were looking for not only a couple that had our current activities in mind, but that would also accept our pets - 2 littermate cat sisters - and provide an internal social environment that would challenge both someone in assisted living and someone who is fully independent. I recently visited and highly recommend. Staff is incredible-- friendly, hospitable, and so knowledgable about the needs of its clients. The apartments are beautiful, well designed, comfortable and the views are stunning! The common areas are unique and just so creative. Worth the visit.

I saw this facility at an event, and I was blown away. I've never seen such a well-thought-out, organized, posh, modern, gorgeous space and that is designed specifically to support the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of its senior residents. Not to mention, the views are incredible, the staff members are upbeat and kind, and the food was delicious! Blown away in the best of ways!
