My mom is needing almost around the clock care. I searched the internet for care takers to come into her home. I picked Touching Hearts at Home because I liked the name but their name says it all. The intake process was seamless, they keep in contact with me every step of the way and their caretakers are Angels. The love and concern they showed for my mom from the first day they met her was beyond anything I had expected. I am so incredibly grateful to find such an amazing organization that is so kind during a difficult time in my mom's life. They truly have Touched our Hearts at Home.

My mother is 91 and needed a caregiver to come into her home and provide some assistance for a few hours during the week. I randomly selected Touching Hearts at Home and I am SO GLAD I did. This organization is small, extremely caring and offers wonderful personal service. My mother was unexpectedly hospitalized and I lived in another state from her residence. Her caregiver came to see her, even on her days off, and was a rock for my mother. When I needed to adjust the hours of care over the holidays, Jan, the owner, and her staff, worked over the weekend to make sure my mother had caregivers in place to assist her. I can't say enough about this service. They are very kind and this is more than a job to them - I've never met more loving folks. Touching Hearts has made my 90 year old Mom very happy. The aid in attendance (Kathy) was so caring when we came home that my Mom was so cheerful and happy. She asked when she was coming back. This company is so wonderful I worked for them back in October of 2019 shortly after the passing of my husband and both supervisors-owners were soooo amazing and sweet I was sad when I had to leave I would recommend this service for any of the elderly the staff are friendly and the service is amazing I would go back to work for them in a heartbeat if only I had a car lol! I discussed this rating with my wife and we struggled with the rating because about half of the caregivers that were sent to us to assist have done a good job. The caregivers are collectively averaging 4 stars but we rate the management team negative 2 stars because the communication is much to be desired. We have communicated our wishes over and over, only for our wishes to be disregarded. For example, we ask that if a scheduled caregiver is unable to work, please contact us ASAP and tell us about the situation and present us with options. Instead, we have recently had 3 memorable incidents where changes were made without informing us. As a paying client for many years, this is not what they used to do in the first year. Things changed before COVID so that is not an excuse either. It doesn't take much to text or email us. Management should not just send any person that breathes and has a warm body to our home - give us a background on the person and present us with our options --- to accept the scedule change, etc. My mother has a medical condition that we are used to navigating, and she needs familar faces rotated or we will be left to calm her down when schedules are changed abruptly and people are sent without our input. All we ask is to have a say on who is sent to our home, and when --- especially since we are paying for the services. Hopefully communication will get better and our wishes will be respected.

I had heard good things about this company and switched to them from a nationwide company. They were easier to work with, down to earth and were picky about their caregivers. I would recommend them. Its hard to put your trust in someone to care for a loved one but I trusted them from the start.

My father-in-law lived with us 3.5 years and we had 24 hour caregiving services for him. I used a few different firms to make sure we always had coverage. I can tell you the biggest difference in companies is the Customer Service they provide. Many of the caregivers work for multiple companies so when we started with Touching Hearts Jan and Debra really made the difference. I dont mean to say the caregivers were not excellent but it was Jan and Debra that set their company apart from the rest. They responded to concerns, always kept me up to date, provided us with quality caregivers. They kept their shifts filled and helped me out when others could not. I have been using this agency for over a year now for my father who has been slowly declining due to dementia. In an industry prone to a great deal of turnover, Jan and Debra have done a remarkable job of making sure we always have the help we need. They do a great job of accommodating our schedule and communicating about any issues that come up. I always get a prompt response to my concerns, no matter how big or small. The caregivers have all been great. Above all, you can tell they genuinely care about my dad and our challenging journey. I truly dont know how we would manage without them!!!

My sister lived with me for 11 months before her passing and Touching Hearts was the only home health provider we ever needed. Linda presented with many challenges. She was wheelchair - bed bound which required use of a Hoyer lift for transfers and she could only toilet with a bedpan. Her aides were phenomenal not only with Lindas care but in transporting her to her appointments (with Lindas wheelchair accessible van) and in assuring her laundry and soiled bedding was promptly washed. Linda referred to her daytime aide as the daughter she never had as this particular young lady was exceptionally loving and caring. I pray I never have another family member in need of such intensive care, but if I do, Touching Hearts will be my first call.

This place has been the most helpful and welcoming blessing! My father needed care after brain surgery and during his radiation treatments and they accommodated me right away. I live out of town and am the only family member but they made me feel like I wasnt doing this alone. The caregivers are empathetic, professional and made a real bond with my father.
