I can't possibly put in to words how wonderful the staff and facilities are at The Pointe. It is a warm, caring group of people that assist seniors to live as independently as possible - with dignity. They have a variety of accommodations - Plenty of space and amenities. Lots of activities to keep active and a community of residents that truly care about each other. They are excellent communicators and do everything in their power to make sure that the residents AND their loved ones are considered and cared for. It has a real residential feel - carpet, elegant furnishings and finishes. While their medical staff does an amazing job of staying on top of the health issues - it does not have the Medical/Nursing facility vibe that is the norm with senior living. After touring several in town - this was by far my first choice. So happy there was availability.

My nana has been a resident at The Point of Summit hills for 2 years now. She is 94. She has been very well taken care of during her stay. She can be quite the firecracker. May I just say the staff has handled her with tender loving care. They communicate with family members very well. The director, Perla’s door is always open and she welcomes and handles any questions or concerns with efficiency and professionalism. They have fun activities for their residents and shopping adventures as well

The staff truly goes above and beyond for their residents. They make sure everything is taken care of, not just the big things, but even the small details in between. Their compassion, attentiveness, and dedication really show in the happiness and well-being of the residents. It’s clear they genuinely care, and it makes such a positive difference. The Pointe is a sophisticated, elegant and stunning assisted living and Memory Care community, hidden on the top of the eastside of Bakersfield. The staff is always very welcoming and attentive. When you see the residents they are all very happy. They all hold a sense of pride where they live which says a lot. You will be amazed by the the food presentation as well as the taste. If you are looking for a well oiled machine then you have come to the right place. From all the events they throw to the conversations you can have with the residents and staff this Assisted living and Memory Care Community is top notch. The Pointe and all its’ employees are fantastic! My parents recently moved into the assisted living side, and are settling in nicely. The staff and other residents are so welcoming and helpful. I feel very much at home, and I don’t even live here!

My 95+ year old dad has lived at The Pointe for over two years! He loves living there! I am very happy with the care and attention he receives. The Administrator (Perla) has done a great job in smoothing out some previous rough areas. The Assistant Administrator (Gracie) is a wonderful caring person who works hard to keep everything running smoothly. The Wellness Director (Kayla) does a great job. My friend lived here for a few months. I visited on several occasions. The facility is beautiful and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately the foodservice department leaves something to be desired. The quality of the food and selection are poor. They tend to run out of food before end of meal. The service is marginal at best. I have eaten in a few retirement facilities and the Point is the worst by far!

As we walked in the Summit Hills, we had been so stressed knowing we had to find our Mom care yesterday. My 2 siblings and I looked at each other and said , if she doesn't want to live hear we will....We knew our angel Michael had lead us to the right place. We wanted Mom to be comfortable, taken care of but most of all relaxed, knowing Mom was somewhere where they would see to all her needs. With the help of Optimal Hospice, Michael and Summit, our request was fulfilled. Don't wait til the last minute to find your special parent a good care facility, check them out first ahead of time. We have been pleased. t and comfortable place, check it out
