There are so many great employees here that go above and beyond to help us each and every day! Evelyn and V and Courtney and Gloria and Kristen and Tomi and Marisol and Savannah and T and Q and Shana just to name very few. Tracy and Spencer and Louis and Lana also all do an amazing job! I love the exercise classes that the therapy does in the mornings they get our heart rate up and get us going and have exercises that are not too terribly stressful so that we can all do them and gets us going for the day! It warms my heart to write such a very sentimental review that depicts the inner most emotion of my heart. Your employee, LaTasha Smith is such an astounding young little. It's not very often that you can experience an individual that's compassionate and patient as LaTasha. My aunt is a resident at this facility. When I come to see her, LaTasha Smith, the little lady with a sparkling spirit, is the highlight of her day. She handles her with care and motivates her whenever she gets overwhelmed we day to day tasks. She sings to hear and calls her beautiful (which she loves). What a phenomenal young lady. You guys should really implement her within your trainings. Thank you LaTasha for handling my aunt with care.

I worked here for about 3 years, It was an amazing place to work. Hr Kim is always so helpful and understanding, the DON Latonya and Laura the ED are always helpful, and I learned a lot from them. The only reason I left was due to having to relocate or I would still be here. This place made me the nurse I am today, and I think of them and miss them every day. The residents in my opinion are well taken care of. Staff tries their best to get to every patient as soon as they can, they truly care about providing the best possible care. If it was possible I would take the building and move them to the state I'm in that is how great the staff and patients are.

Tracy Blas is the best nurse they have!!!! My mom was here a couple of months ago after falling on a fork that became lodged in her rectum. Tracy was sooo compassionate and understanding! My Mom was in the ICU and needed to discharge from the hospital to a skilled nursing & rehabilitation facility. Due to insurance the hospital was able to give me two facilities in the Keller area. We didn't have time for a tour and went with Harrison on Heritage. I want to say that it was very difficult to pick a SNF site unseen but in a hospital situation you just never have enough time. I was a nervous wreck because these reviews were so mixed. My FIL had been in a different SNF 3 months prior in the Keller area and they weren't an option but I had something to compare The Harrison to. I was so glad we chose The Harrison! All I can say is - DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY THE GOOGLE REVIEWS! The level of care by the nurses, aides and staff was above and beyond my expectations. The front desk staff, Tomi & April run the reception and communication incredibly well, are patient knowledgeable and so kind. The social worker Kristen will make sure your loved one is set up during and discharged safely and successfully. The Physical Therapy (huge thank you to Luis) is state of the art and incredibly in recovery for your loved one. There is a in house salon for when your loved one needs a haircut pick me up. The medical transport with April and Phoenix transportation was exceptional. If your LO needs to attend medical appointments April and her team with Phoenix Transportation will treat your loved one like their own. My Mom was there for the maximum amount of days insurance allows and I will say that every single person from start to finish truly cares about the patient. If you were like me and weighing your options based on Google I will say that Google has it wrong. This place is the BEST of the BEST for a safe, trustworthy, reliable skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.

My mom needed rehab after almost 6 weeks at the hospital. She had a feeding tube and hadn't walked in 5 weeks. The Harrison was much cleaner and nicer than the other places I looked at. We had to go back to rehab after another hospital visit Thanksgiving. We came back to the Harrison and all the staff were friendly and recognized us. They have an activity room that is warm and inviting. Also 2 courtyards that are well kept and easily accessible. My only negative comment is that just as ALL the rehabs, they are short staffed and can't get to patients immediately when the light is pushed. And the food was just ok. My mom didn't care for most of it but she still ate it. I would definitely recommend the Harrison.

The nursing staff is nice and attentive. The therapy staff is great. I know who some of these negative reviews are referring to and I will just say - take family complaints with a grain of salt. They only give one side of the story. I don't believe you should have any worries sending your family to The Harrison..

The- 'Our' Activity Director here, Serena, is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! She comes up with some of the BEST Activities for us that I'm always participating in along with Many of the other Residents! For example she arranged for us to have a fANTASTIC Fall Festival for the Residents and any of their family members that wanted to participate I had My Daughter and 2 of my Grandchildren come they played Many, Many games and won either Candy-(treats) or some sort of surprise-(trick). They both had So Much Fun and I enjoyed watching them and taking them around showing them off! The Activities here help to make my life very enjoyable.

Most skilled nursing facilities have incredibly bad reputation and reviews. However I want to give a different perspective and a more optimistic review. My mom has been in a few of these type facilities before and my family has taken her home almost immediately or in a very short timeframe due to the poor quality of care. When my family was told we would have to place her in a SNF for rehab l, I just cried for the fear of what we were going to endure. Especially the actual day she was placed in the back of mini van and transported, the flood gates were flowing hard. We were greeted as she entered the facility and wheeled to her temporary room. It was already in the afternoon and the nurse on shift was welcoming and gave us assurance that she would be her afternoon nurse Monday thru Friday. Then comes in a CNA that has been a blessing to my moms stay at this facility. In fact, all the CNAs were extremely attentive during her stay. Same with administrators, doctors, physical therapists, social workers, greeters, including the cleaning team. There wasn't one person that didn't treat us, or more importantly my mom, as if they didn't care. The actually cared and made my mom feel as though she was the only person they were caring for at that moment. Mom is our Queen and they treated her as such at every moment of her stay during rehabilitation. My mom will soon transition to long term care and though that scares us, we are confident that the care she is receiving now will carryover into the next phase of her LTC. There are some people that made this experience special and I want to be sure they are recognized: Sara M, RN Caroline H, Nichole J, Jocelyn J, CNAS... there were many more, I just didn't get their names Kristin, SW Edwin, Corp Admin In my opinion... the care and staff in this facility deserve five stars      The facility was clean at all times Thank you to all the staff for making this experience a great success.

Meetings are held on a daily basis to discuss areas of improvement as well as areas of strength. They give their staff recognition for their care and address those that need more training. My Mom has been at Harrison for a little over two weeks. Sherry, at the desk is an absolute Angel. She has made any obstacle easy to overcome. She's become like family curing so much of the worry that comes with having a parent in skilled nursing. Julie the RN has been amazing with my Mom too. There's been some challenges with weekend and night shifts with Mom waiting a long time for response (avg 45 min), but it seems to be improving as they understand her needs better. Mom has gained a very much needed 15lbs and for a very stubborn lady, she says she really likes it there. As with any of these places, family's presence makes all the difference and finding those key helpful people are first priorities. I would recommend Harrison very much based on those tips

My 95 year old dad stayed here for a little over a month. He saw much improvement because of the intensive physical therapy, and the medical treatment and care provided. The entire staff, especially the nurses and caregivers were very personable, attentive , and diligent in taking care of him. Our family was very pleased with the loving care and attention my father received. He was a handful because of all of his health issues, but the entire staff was always so kind in taking care of him. Also, The Harrison at Heritage is beautiful and always kept exceptionally clean. The food was good and help was provided for family that had difficulty eating. I highly recommend The Harrison at Heritage if you are need a skilled nursing/rehab facility for a loved one.

We moved our mom out here in 13 months ago due to our family also moving to North FW and have been very happy with the facility so far. The building is well-kept, comforting southern decor, the Activities Director Chris is one of the best we have experienced and he has truly gone above and beyond for our mom. The staff has been great with communication with us, keeping up with meetings, and the Finance Director Joy has helped make the transition seamless. She has gone out of her way to help me complete my mom's Medicaid application, which I have typically felt very lost on when having to complete by myself in years past. Of course with most nursing facilities, there seems to be understaffing, especially during the nighttime hours, but majority of the aides who have worked with my mom truly seem to care for her and listen to her needs.

Another updated review: I received a phone call from someone at the facility to address the items listed in my last review update and to see if there were any other issues. She was courteous and efficient. While she can't undo what has been done, she certainly attempted to fix all she could. I gave her a run down on all the things broken or missing from my dad's room and all of it was corrected that evening. She spoke to the nurses about baths and the dietician about the food allergy. The maintenance man that was in and out of my dad's room yesterday was so sweet to him and he wanted to be sure my dad was happy. The dietician came down to talk to my dad as well. I am impressed by how they are working to right the wrongs as best they can. 11/28/22 Updated review: Things have gone downhill since my original review which I gave 4 stars. I have changed the stars to a 2. Here's why: My dad missed a shower on Monday (his shower days are M, W, F). I asked about it Monday evening and was told he would get one on Tuesday. He did, but was still in the same clothes from Tuesday until the next Monday. That is 2 other missed showers and not change of clothing. He was served shrimp and is allergic. After his stroke, his eyesight is weak. Had I not been there, he would've eaten the shrimp not knowing. He was moved to another room, but there was food in the fridge which means the room wasn't cleaned properly. The administration I have dealt with, mainly the women in financial department, has been unpleasant to work with. She's made mistakes and one caused us to miss an appeal. She is all business and her answer to how my dad should pay for his care after insurance stopped paying is for me to open a credit card. I am still giving 2 stars because the therapy is great and dad still likes the food. As far as the activities, no one ever comes by to invite them to the activities. I guess they are only for those patients that are able to see the postings and independently move themselves around the facility. This is our first skilled nursing facility experience and I am disheartened. Original review: My dad has spent time in The Harrison at Heritage to receive therapy after having a stroke. The therapy team is fantastic. He's getting great quality therapy from SLP, OT & PT. The facility is clean & dad likes the food. The staff is nice. He's receiving great care from the nursing staff. He hasn't participated in any activities, but they offer many to keep patients engaged & social.
