Was admitted on January 2026: had to wait for someone to talk to about how this place is run, I asked about lunch said I missed that so have to wait for dinner. Had to wait for ice chips in cup, had to wait because TV was not working. I had no understanding of how rehab works. Finally some came and took order for dinner, no nurse yet. This place appears to be busy or short staff. A young person didn't want to Come into room to talk to because I had question I couldn't talk loud, throat hurt from having tube taken out. She did come in but with a attitude, since then had not seen her. Thought to myself thats not nice, people come to get better and not feel like you are not important. Doctor helpful there Nurses Mina, Jesse, awesome people. CNA Monika, James nice and helpful person,Philip sense of humor even when he was tired. Asefa knowledgeable guy. Belilul patient lady even when she was tired. Cna Mely at night after midnight shift just a warm welcoming women, cheerful, helpful, treated you with respect. PT Taylor awesome OT Jennifer polite person Marianne helpful and showed my library which cna busy all the time. Didn't know while there you could get a hair cut. Make sure ask a lot of questions with social worker on Medicare and insurance because I learned the hard way. Providence Mount St Vincent does not offer charity help.

My wife was admitted for SNF rehab after leaving the hospital and the entire staff was very polarized as being either great, or awful. From the kitchen (nice one day, mean because my wife was allergic to seafood the next) to the caregivers who had wildly varied levels of experience with dealing with complex cases (honestly, the Providence hospital did them and my wife wrong by rushing this). My wife went for PT focused care and they weren't focused for the first 10 days and insurance cut off the money at 20; so it was a waste of time in the end because the inability to commit to a scheduled care plan. The worst was contracted wound care, which lowered standards steadily during her visit, as she was older and not fully supplied. Why they didn't use wound care from Providence's own network is a mystery that should fall heavy on the network's management that puts in barriers and inefficiencies to make the book keeping easier. Pros: nice facility, most people one most nights were helpful and kind. They are organized as a facility and offer lots of unique services Cons: rehab was ad-hoc and not good with people who had hard schedule commitments like dialysis at outside facilities. Also, the number of times the CNA on duty said for hours that they needed to wait for a second helper for 3-4 hours was out of line. They need to be able to deal with decreased ability patients or get out of thr rehab business.

It was fine while there; however, after leaving. No home care, no prescriptions, nothing. I've been laying up in this (now filthy) apartment for almost 2 months.

Our mother has lived at The Mount assisted living apartments for almost two years now, and it's been a really good, supportive place for her. A few highlights: All the staff seem to know her and be aware of what's going on with her at any given time. She loves the activities, and the activities staff often call her to invite her to things they think she'll enjoy. Nurses, supervisors, and the social worker are very responsive and helpful when we have questions or concerns. There's a beautiful chapel on site with a range of types of services throughout the week. And, our mom consistently has good things to say about the food! All of this in a beautiful location, at a more affordable rate than most similar facilities, and with a 100-year history of doing this good work.

We had my mother in law at St. Vincent for 3 weeks as she was recovering from a hip fracture and we could not have been more satisfied with the care and rehabilitation she received. The staff are very caring and focused on the patient. We liked that we could get straight answers from the staff on her progress at any time as well as anything else that we needed. We also very much enjoyed working with the Social Worker Lisa, who was very helpful in managing the transition out of Providence as well as answering any non-medical questions. It may look like an older building, but looks are deceiving. What goes on inside is first rate care and rehabilitation, and we would recommend Providence St. Vincent to anyone needing this type of care.

There was plenty of staff. All willing to help care for my mom when she was there. She was well provided for and cared for. Not the swankiest place but filled with caring staff meeting my moms needs.

My 99 year young mother is new to the Eldercare division at Mount St. Vincents. I've NEVER heard her say how much she enjoys her doctor visits and the unwavering professional, patient and compassionate staff member (reception to medical). And I quote, (with regards to her PCP, Dr. Elyce Opheim) "Oh, she's good!" and to the facility, "I like it here!" as she smiles and waves as we leave.

I was admitted to rehab in Feb 2020 after a bad femur fracture. I was so pleasantly surprised by the care I received there. 2 yrs before I'd had a very different experience while having rehab at a diffetent facility for a hip fracture. At Providence I found caring staff at every level. I was treated with dignity and respect. My home is in the north end of King County. So It is not in a convenient location for me and my family but it would be my #1 choice if I would need care again.

Last year my mom decided it was time to move into an Assisted Living facility. As a longtime resident of West Seattle, she chose to stay in West Seattle to be close to family and her doctor and friends. She considered all of the options and selected "The Mount." She was looking for an apartment with a lot of natural light, where the food was good, and the schedule of the meals and assistance was flexible. She found that and so much more at The Mount. Now, a year later, we are so happy with her choice. EVERYONE on staff at The Mount has been incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made my mom's transition as smooth as possible and helped her meet people and feel included in the community. We love the "grill" menu--we can always get what we want to eat and the chef has even offered to create that special dish if we get hungry for something not on their menu. The seasonal activities are wonderful--lots of entertainment and decorations and good food. The aides help my mom with various things and they keep her laundry done, and the waste baskets in her room emptied multiple times a day. Everything in her apartment is so clean and fresh. What has stood out for me is that everyone from the Director, to the facilities workers, to the reception staff, to the nurses and aides, absolutely everyone takes time to care. They are never too busy or in a hurry. I love seeing how they live out their Christian values each and every day. My mom is thriving in her new home and we love that.

Nursing staff don't know how to service an Ostomy bag with the proper items. Got very sick after just a week and a half there

Amazing place,great staff, super clean, and great place to bring a loved one and or child for nursery. The view is ecstatic! Many nuns there and amazing older people. It is always super clean and the staff us always around making sure something gets done. Great place to be. I love going there and seeing happy older folks.

Nov. 11, 2015 They offer everything from independent living to temporary rehabilitative skilled nursing services to care for dementia. I have been here four times for probably an average of two weeks for rehabilitation of fractures. The staff I have dealt with is kind, patient, helpful and fun. However they don't always jump up to respond to call bells and they occasionally offer help and then forget. There is food available 24/7. You can be served in your room, in a small dining room on your floor and a maximum of 4 doors from your room or a cafeteria or a dining room. The food is good for cafeteria fare with a nice variety in the cafeteria. You can raid anytime the refrigerators and freezers on the therapy floor kitchens and a large glass front refrigerator in the cafeteria.They have a beautiful chapel, spectacular views, (you can see hills W. Seattle, across Elliott Bay with ferries to the Space Needle with Mt. Baker behind on a clear day) regular entertainment and pleasant outdoor areas. The therapists are good and patient but seldom exactly on time. The medical staff (I'm Group Health, other providers may be different) are seldom to be seen. I could write so much but suffice it to say, if you have to have skilled nursing care for a while this is a good place to be.
