From the first time I spoke with Christine, I knew Evermore Senior Living was the only option for our mother! A new small residential house with a private room and low resident to staff ratio that excelled in all standards of quality care assured us that she would be healthy, comfortable, and safe. All we needed was for her to be happy after leaving her own home of 78 years. Within a month everything fell into place seamlessly and from the minute our mother walked into Evermore on move in day,, the owner and staff have faithfully provided all of these things! They are the most professional, compassionate, and communicative group of caregivers we could have ever asked for. Our mother is absolutely in the best place possible thriving with dignity. My dad moved into Evermore in September 2024. There aren't enough stars to express my satisfaction with and deep appreciation for the owners and the incredibly dedicated staff. Evermore is a small community that feels more like an extended family than a senior living "facility." Owner Dave routinely takes my dad and the other male resident to dinner for a guys night out. His wife and co-owner, Christine, is available any time by phone to answer any questions or just to check in. Both Dave and Christine know the residents and their families and are fully engaged in their well-being. The staff is kind, caring, and extremely dedicated. Just as an example, staff members (including the chef) stayed on site during a recent winter storm to ensure the well-being and safety of all residents. There has been very little turnover in the year and a half that my dad has lived at Evermore, which says a lot. I truly cannot recommend Evermore highly enough. I feel very fortunate to have found it.

So relieved that mom is in Evermore! The home is beautiful and the chef, Jackie, prepares fresh, delicious meals. It is much different from being in a large assisted living because they don’t have to walk far, so there is less chance of falling. Also, the ratio of caretakers to residents is very low, maybe 1 to 4. However, all of the staff on duty can see all of the people all of the time except for when they’re in their room. That gives us a peace of mind. The owners and the Administrative staff are the best. They really care about the residents and treat them like family. For Christmas, they treated all the families with a Christmas party with a wonderful dinner made by Jackie. During the snowstorm, they sent the families pictures of their loved ones and FaceTimed us to let us visit and know all is well. This is the place you want to put your loved one!

I just wanted to leave a follow up to the review I initially left. My dad has since passed and I can undoubtably say the best decision I ever made was moving him from FL to Evermore. It’s been a year now almost since he got sick (he was hospitalized for a GI bleed and contracted pneumonia in the hospital not at Evermore). He spent 3.5 months in the hospital and fought every battle until his heart just gave out. But all he wanted more than anything was to get back home to Evermore. He was so loved there. He was engaged and happy and doing so well. He had friends and community and the owner Christine truly treated him like he was family. She was with me every step of the way when he got hospitalized and 3.5 months in the hospital is a very, very long time. We spoke at all hours and she always picked up the phone no matter what. She was the first one to show up at the hospital when dad passed even before my husband got there. I just wish my dad had more time at Evermore but I am so grateful that I had moved him to VA and wasn’t flying back and forth to FL during his final moments. My only regret is that I wished I had moved him sooner.

I recently moved my mother to Evermore and this has been the best decision I have made. Navigating assisted living facilities is very difficult and you really do not know what you will get until you move your loved one there. I can attest this has been the BEST decision. My mother is a fragile diabetic and has dementia and she was previously at a nearby facility and they were not managing her diabetic needs and their lack of care was causing my mother's health to decline. When she moved to Evermore her blood sugar levels were not controlled and were almost always in the 400's. Within the first week of her moving in her blood sugar was remaining in a normal range and her overall demeanor and attitude and behavior had improved drastically. The food she was being provided by the private chef completely changed her blood sugars. I just took my mother to her first doctor's appointment since moving to Evermore and all of her lab work numbers have improved drastically!!! The doctor expressed how impressed they were with the drastic turn around her health has made in such a short period. I am regularly sent photos of my mom engaging in activities. And every time I visit she is happy and engaged with what is going on. The medical staff reaches out to me regularly just to let me know they have visited with my mother and any information I may need to know. Her hygiene has drastically improved, as well. Previously, I had just settled that she was older now and wasn't able to manage her hygiene fully on her own and it wasn't going to be fully up to my standards. But I was VERY wrong. Evermore is sure to bathe my mother regularly. Her hair is combed. Her teeth are brushed. If she has a "accident" she is not just wiped down but bathed. Since she does not have full control of her bathroom abilities, she is asked often to just go to the restroom to make sure she does not have an accident. They do manicures and paint her nails every few weeks (IT IS AMAZING) and she loves the attention. The care staff is UNMATCHED!! They are caring and kind and I can tell have a true care for all of the residents. Any time I visit the care staff is engaged in some fashion with the residents, whether it is caring for them or chatting with them, putting together puzzles or playing a game. I never walk in the house without seeing both care team members. And I never have to wonder if my mom's care is being met. The owners, Christine and Dave, have made me and my mother feel more like family than a resident. They are visible at the facility very very often and if we don't cross paths, Christine reaches out regularly just to be sure I have no issues. If I have asked any questions, I am quick to get a full answer and always receive a follow up to be sure my inquiry is fully taken care of. I could not be more thankful to Christine and Dave for their care and attention to my mother and the facilities they have opened. Since moving my mom to Evermore I get to just visit with her. At her previous facility I felt like I always had a task to complete when I visited her because the facility was not doing their part. That is NOT the case at Evermore. When I visit I simply get to hang out with my mom and have real quality time with her because everything else is taken care of. A huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders by moving my mom to Evermore. I sleep better knowing she is being taken care of very very well. I can not say enough good things about my experience with Evermore. Best decision. Do not hesitate if you are thinking of Evermore for your loved one.

We moved our mom to Evermore in May and we finally found the perfect home for her! Mom is at peace and genuinely happy. We feel so grateful to have found Christine, Dave, and the entire staff at Evermore. Mom turned 90 this January and has become a new person since moving in. Her favorite activity is baking cookies with Christine! Every day mom is trying something new - chair Tai Chi, painting, the list goes on! The facilities and grounds are beautifully done but in such a way that makes it feel like home for the residents and their family. It truly has been a blessing for our family to see mom being so loved and taken care of by Christine and the entire staff.

This is where my father spent the remaining days of his life and I can’t imagine better place to be. The facility is clean, updated, spacious and the facility treated my father like family. It truly is one of a kind. The staff and owners go out of their way to know your family member. They have family meals, games, and only 8 rooms. We toured countless places and I didn’t feel like I wanted my father to live in any of the ant farms we visited. They usually smelled or had terrible food options. They just wanted money. This place is the exact opposite of that. I cannot recommend them enough. If I could give 10 stars I would. The owner did my father nails on the weekends. They truly care. If they have an opening, (which isn’t often) jump all over it. This is the place for your person.

I had the opportunity to sit and talk with the owner of this beautiful community (Christine). She was very kind and you can see how much love and heart she puts into caring for her residents. The care staff was very attentive to the residents during my visit. I would feel safe leaving my loved ones in her hands. 10 stars!

Moving an aging parent into an assisted living facility has been one of the hardest things I have had to do. My dad would have preferred to stay in his house but that was no longer feasible after my mom passed so I decided a small care home was the way to go. I toured some of the bigger facilities initially and, in the end, I realized this was going to be dad’s home…not mine. So a movie theater, restaurant, gym, etc. all sound great but the reality is it wouldn’t feel like home for dad. Once I made the decision to do a small care home I knew the minute I toured Evermore and met the owner, Christine, that it was the right place for Dad…and for me. I knew dad would be happy there and well-cared for (the rooms have special lighting to help with sun-downers, there is a chef who makes home-cooked meals, there are activities and PT/OT etc coming to the house, to name a few) but, most importantly, I needed someone I could trust. Christine was just warm and genuine and clearly knew the residents and their families well. This was not a business for her but family. I toured a few other places that were closer to my home and had immediate availability but my gut told me to wait for a spot at Evermore. It took over 6 months on the wait list but I can honestly say it was well worth the wait. Dad is the newest resident and already feels like he is at home. All of the staff have welcomed him, the place is immaculate and smells wonderful, the other residents all seem engaged and content, which speaks volumes. I feel so relieved to know that dad is well-taken care of and I can finally sleep easy.

My mother who is 98 has been at Evermore since December 2022. She had never been in an assisted living setting before, and it was a huge yet necessary transition for her. I was looking for a small comfortable setting that could provide the atmosphere of a family home while giving her the attention and support she needed to maintain her safety, health, and quality of life. Evermore has been that perfect fit. The ratio of care to residents is unmatched and the caregivers are attentive and kind. The home itself is clean and has many amenities for older residents like my mom. The owner, Christine, ensures that all is running smoothly and makes it a point to know each resident and their family members. I am so grateful for being able to entrust my mom’s care to Christine and her staff. If you are seeking a small, quiet assisted living experience for your loved one, I highly recommend Evermore.

UPDATE: Our Dad has now been at Evermore Senior Living for three years. The owners, Christine and Dave, are what makes this facility exceptional. I hesitate to call it a facility, because Christine makes it a top priority to create a home for the residents. She treats every person like family and makes every effort to create a family atmosphere among the residents. Recently our father ended up in the hospital. Christine and Dave took the time to visit him (twice!) and advocate for him regardless of the fact it was over a holiday weekend. That is the kind of personalized care we’ve come to know and value at Evermore. I can’t imagine this would be the norm at another facility. Evermore allows us to have peace of mind that our Dad is receiving the care he needs in a personalized and family-focused setting. ORIGINAL POST: We just went through the difficult process of placing our Dad in assisted living. After a great deal of research, we chose Evermore for its homey-feel and personalized approach to care. The owners of Evermore have truly gone above and beyond to welcome our Dad and cater to his every need in order to make his transition as smooth as possible. The director of the facility was a valuable resource to help us with the onboarding process. She continues to ensure the best possible care for our Dad and has done an excellent job keeping the lines of communication open. My Dad is still adjusting to his new surroundings, but our family has a great deal of peace knowing our Dad is receiving highly personalized care from people who are attentive to his needs. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Evermore up to this point.

The process of transitioning a loved one into a memory care facility could, quite possibly, be the most difficult I have ever experienced. The Herculean effort to make this transition smooth and welcoming on the part of the owners and the director of Evermore has been truly remarkable. They welcomed my dad as if he was a member of their own family. We were sure he would resist this move at every opportunity, but with the added care and attention to detail to make him feel at home, he transitioned with very little stress. We toured a number of assisted living facilities in the Northern Virginia area and none impressed us like Evermore. Beyond just the personal touches and the intimate setting, the technology was beyond my expectations. They have thought of everything to make the residents comfortable. The medical staff is wonderful! They are so gentle and considerate with my dad and we have nothing but confidence that he is being cared for with respect. This is a priority for us in keeping his dignity in tact. Any family that is considering an assisted living facility - you simply won’t find a better home than Evermore.

Evermore was the answer to our prayers. The environment is set up as a home with a fireplace and a big screen TV in the family room. Meals are delicious, carefully prepared by a chef. The staff is caring and attentive. Because of the limited number of residents, communication between staff and family goes the extra mile so you always know how your family member is doing. Evermore gives the family a sense of calm, knowing their family member is safe and well cared for. I couldn’t ask for more.
