My brother Joe, who recently passed, lived at Amelia Gardens Personal Care Home for over 9 years. He came to Amelia Gardens after having a severe stroke and being under Hospice Care. After a few months, his health improved enough that he came off of Hospice care. I appreciate the the excellent care and attention that Nick & Joy, with their staff, provided my brother. It was their care that allowed my brother to thrive and stay healthy over these past 9 years. I feel extremely grateful that we found Amelia Gardens as a place for my brother to live!!

Joy and Nick take very good care of my son, who lives there. Not only physical help but emotional help and the comfort they bring to him that comes from love. They do such a fine job. Jacob, Charity, and others who work there are real heroes to me.

Ms. Joy and her husband Mr. Nic are the most beautiful people inside and out and their staff at Amelia Gardens (Ms. Christy being an Angel among other Angels at Amelia Gardens) have Hearts of Gold and are the most caring and sweet people I have met in the 2 years I have been a POA for Mr. Hudgins. When Ms. Joy said "Yes" to my urgent, emergency and utmost frantic call on a Friday at 5 p.m. for a place for Mr. Aubrey it was a huge burden lifted of my shoulder when I went and met them in person. Ms. Joy was as delightful in person as she was over the phone. Ms. Joy went over-and-above to accommodate my short-noticed request for a place. Mr. Hudgens, in my opinion, has come "Home" and is in expert hands and care. I do not worry about him being neglected. Amelia Gardens would get "100 STARS" if I could rate them myself. I thank Ms. Joy and Ms. Christy and the other lovely Ladies at Amelia Gardens for their professionalism, their caring and their huge hearts. I thank them from the bottom and top of my heart. Thank You. Thank You. Thank You. Their facility and care for the residents are UNPARALLELED.

While looking for an Assistance Living facility for our mother we stumbled on to Amelia Gardens on Canton Rd what a find. Everyone is so caring, the day we took our mother there they made her feel so welcome she loved. The entire staff are respectful, loving and caring.

Joy and her staff have provided excellent care for my brother. After a severe stroke my brother was placed on Hospice care and became a resident at Amelia Gardens. He received much attention, care, and love from the staff and after 3 months he had improved enough to no longer need or quality for the extra Hospice care. My brother has been a resident for 2-1/2 years now. Although he can't use his right side and needs the staff to do basic things for him, he receives the extra care he needs from the staff. We're very happy.

I am a professional in this industry I own a personal care home as well as do Elder consulting and the one thing to look at when advising clients is the attention to detail with regards to Care ratios as well as cleanliness! Joy the owner is essentially who you're buying... her ability to communicate effectively I think is a value in itself I feel that the large communities at times can be difficult from a communication perspective because there are so many different levels and staff changes!
