My parents have been living at Bonaventure of Puyallup, and I can honestly say it has been a wonderful place for them. I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to the incredible staff who work there. The caregivers are attentive, compassionate, and always quick to respond when my parents need assistance. They never make anyone feel like they’re a burden, and nothing ever seems like too much to ask. They’re always smiling, and I love hearing them laugh and joke with the residents. It creates such a warm, welcoming environment that truly feels like home. I also want to recognize the Wellness Director, Carrie. She is always willing to help, support, and lend a hand wherever she’s needed. I’ve seen her assisting staff with resident care, passing medications, serving tables, taking orders, and taking the time to connect with residents and their families. She leads by example and genuinely makes a difference”not just for the residents, but for all of us as family members. She has a way of walking alongside you through this journey, offering reassurance and compassion every step of the way. This community is lovely. We toured here this year, and would have moved our dad in had they had an available memory care unit at the time. The sales person and main director really took the time to listen and give us options. They helped us understand how these kind of things are run because my sister and I were new to the whole idea. We refer this place to everyone we know. Take the time to go see them.

Beautiful, well-run facility. Staff are caring and have professionalism that you just dont see anywhere else around here. There were some hiccups when my dad moved in back in 2024, but he is happy and doing better than we could have hoped.

I love it here. I picked it after a horrific auto accident. Most staff are very friendly and smiling. The food is good with lots of options. There are so many things to do. We even have a theater, mini bowling alley and a Pub!!

There are not enough good things to say about this wonderful community. The staff are AMAZING and dedicated, they will be there to help in an instant. The resident culture here is fantastic- everyone is welcoming of newcomers, including new staff members, and it truly has a homelike environment. I did want to make a comment about another review I saw posted shortly before mine- I was able to pick out which family they were from based on the photos posted in previous reviews. I have to vehemently disagree with the negative portrayal. I know for a fact that Bonaventure of Puyallup went above and beyond for this particular family, and what this person wrote is factually inaccurate- including the claims about flooring costs and the misrepresentation of the staff. I take great offense that they would take the time to try to damage and slander this wonderful company. It really upset me that someone would post something so false. Highly recommend this community!

Highly recommend! My mom has lived at Bonaventure Puyallup assisted living for almost 3 years. She’s been very happy here! The management and care staff are wonderful and caring. The building is newer, beautiful and very clean. My mom’s apartment is cleaned weekly and laundry facilities are just right down the hall. Food is good with excellent choices on the everyday menu if you don’t care for the main dish. They also have a cafe with drink and food options. And our family has reserved the pub for family get togethers which worked out great. The bowling alley is always fun! My mom also enjoys going the movie theater sometimes. They have different movies and tons of activities daily. Also, they offer shuttle services. My mom and I toured several other assisted living places before choosing Bonaventure Puyallup. My mom has also lived in a couple other assisted living facilities in Tacoma and University Place. Private pay assisted living is expensive everywhere from our experience. There are cheaper facilities around but, also there are in more expensive assisted living facilities too. My advise is to be prepared for cost increases yearly. My moms rent has gone up yearly by hundreds of dollars at all the assisted living facilities she’s lived at. And unfortunately this year my mom has had 2 increases (1 very large increase) in rent.

As a family we have had several issue with the caregiving staff not following the care plan and little follow through from management . Then April arrived as the new executive director. April is fabulous. All are concerns were addressed issue by issue and she was great at follow through and easy to communicate with. The caregiver staff is great and there is finally very little turn over. We are so grateful for April.

Bonaventure was one of our choices in our search for our new home. Alexis was a joy to work with. She went the extra mile to get any information I wanted. Believe me, I know how to ask lots of questions. We just loved the two bed, two bath plan and if there was any chance of one coming up soon we would have waited. We found one right away at our other choice. We will definitely let Alexis know if we need to make a move again.

The staff are friendly and did really well with my grandparents who were very hesitant about moving. They enjoy the amenities, and activities offered. Really feel like they are at home there.

When we were searching for a place for my mom, our top priority was loving, attentive care ” and that’s exactly what we found here. From the moment she arrived the staff have treated her like family; she says she feels seen and cared for every single day. The meals are consistently satisfying and she looks forward to the activity calendar ” there’s always something that lights her up and gets her talking about the day. The recent leadership transition could have been stressful, but the new executive director has been nothing short of wonderful. She personally reached out to our family, answered all our questions, and made sure the changeover was smooth and supportive. Her warmth and responsiveness have meant so much to us. We’re so grateful for the compassion, patience, and professionalism the whole team shows my mom ” she’s genuinely happy here, and that peace of mind for our family is priceless.

Lovely facility and excellent caregivers on staff. Spacious, well-maintained apartments and tasty meals 3x a day. Movie theater, bowling alley, barber shop, pedicures, and a daily happy hour help keep residents happy at home. This all helps to soothe the $7k a month cost. The turnover of staff would slow if the focus was on employee retention over profitability.

My father with dementia lived in Memory care from November 2022 - May 2024. My experience was completely positive. The staff were patient, caring, kind, responsive, and professional. I highly recommend Bonaventure Puyallup. I only wish that I have moved him to Bonaventure/Puyallup sooner so that he could have enjoyed all the amenities and resources and activities available to the residents in independent and assisted living.

I love this place. it’s amazing they make great grilled cheese sandwiches and tater tot's. And the receptionist is very kind specially Emily. And another employee Alexis she is very caring and kind.Last but definitely not least the Ed (executive director) she is AMAZING my favorite employee of all she’s very kind nice and caring. But the place overall great!

My sister was in memory care until 12/14/22. Staff was great and took good care of her. The care that she received was great and the staff was professional and took very good care of her and for the the amount of money that we paid I feel that it was worth it for her to be taking care of so good when I checked on her daily or every other day or whatever it was that I was able to come up to see her thank you

Let’s start with the good stuff. The current care staff really seem to care about the residents. Staff are friendly and offer their time and attention to the residents. Staff do quit with some frequency. Offering a higher wage would attract and keep employees there. Corporate office balked at the suggestion. Makes you wonder if employees matter. There should be more staff at night. Staffing is too low, typically only a total of 2-3 staff collectively in Assisted and Independent living. The Management team are friendly and in my experience respond to our needs. However, they are also overworked. Assistant positions seem to lack the authority to take care of issues. The building is nice, new and clean. There are lots of activities. Food is usually quite good. Now the bad: Dining room serving staff are ridiculously slow. Inept. Complaints to management yield no results. Jean is slow. If you ask for anything she barks at you. Rude and unacceptable. Younger servers are just as slow. For the price residents pay you should expect and receive top notch service, but you don’t.

I would like to give a shout out to Jerry at Bonaventure in Puyallup. He was so great to us and my parents. It's a beautiful place and the people were so kind. They went out of there way to make my parents comfortable. We haven't made a decision yet for a move but will definitely keep this place as a possibility. Thank you Jerry for all the work you did to make my parents feel comfortable.

I chose Bonaventure of Puyallup to rid myself of the obligation of home maintenance and extra stress. There was not another location that offered cottages; especially with the quality of the ones they are offering. I am not ready to give up my independence, and I feel like the cottages that they offer will allow me to remain as independent as possible. Yet, still have amazing amenities. I do not normally get out much to socialize, but have attended many of their events that have given me so much opportunity to meet people & learn about the company. There was not another location that offered as many amenities as they do. The staff have been very personable and knowledgeable concerning what’s available, what a person needs, and able to really narrow down what a person wants. There is a special feeling when you walk in to their office, which I did not get at any other location. I would definitely refer others to Bonaventure of Puyallup.

The team at Bonaventure Puyallup (Nerissa, Cheryl, Denise) are enthusiastic and committed to the community they serve. The options for retirement living at this location are broad with lots of options. I've toured the different options for family members and impressed with the amenities. I've also had the opportunity to participate in the monthly entertainment and educational events. Take advantage of these informative and fun events to meet other residents and community members.

I’ve been a Californian most of my adult life but sadly the state has become increasingly expensive and frustratingly congested 24/7. I’m also now at a point in my life where I want to be close to family. I have a daughter in Tacoma and my California-born and raised son moved to the East Coast a few years ago. While visiting the Silver Creek location last March I learned of the plans for the new Bonaventure in Puyallup. All of the plans I have seen depict what I believe will be an active and vibrant community. From my first meeting with Nerissa and a follow up meeting with her assistant, Cheryl, I have been impressed with the genuinely warm reception. I admit to having had some trepidation initially but all that has faded due to the ongoing communication and consistent efforts to maintain a comfortable dialog. I now look forward with eager anticipation to move in to my cottage and meet all the friends I am sure to find at my new home.

When my parent was ready to move onto retirement living we were blessed to have the opportunity to move her into a Bonaventure Property. Always a friendly and kind feeling from the staff. Events that are fun and exciting going on a regular basis keeping you as busy as you want while living here. Great food, transportation services and the list goes on. Excited to see the completion of the new Puyallup property!

This is going to be an amazing place to live ! I just love Cheryl the director . She is so organized and on top on everything . She is putting on wonderful events for those interested in signing up for a new residence ! Everyone I have meet here have such warm hearts and beautiful smiles . I love to visit them all.
