This assisted living memory care facility provides exceptional care to the patients. The facility is always clean and well maintained. The staff welcomes you as you walk in the front door and make you feel welcome while there. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for wonderful care.

I can't say enough good things about this place (Garland location). If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The director, Maria and her staff are angels. They were there for us when we desperately needed help. My dad was a Type 1 diabetic with dementia and was having some behavioral issues. When 2 other facilities gave up on him and kicked him out (both after only 2 months) for reasons out of his control, this place took him in. The other facilities wouldn't give us time to figure out medications that would help or that might have been causing the issue, but this place prided themselves in helping patients like my dad. The worse thing you can do is to keep moving a dementia patient and this place understands that. The other places didn't care. Maria and her staff were so caring, patient and understanding. The first day there they asked how my dad typically kept himself groomed and immediately got him cleaned up and groomed just as he would have liked could he have done it himself. And they continued to keep him clean and groomed for the time he was there. Please, please, please, if you have a parent experiencing these same issues (or even if they're not) place them here. You will not regret it.

I give the highest marks to Maria and all of her staff. We placed our beautiful, sweet mother at Avalon Garland following a bad experience at another care facility. Mom had extensive physical and cognitive issues when she arrived. The care at Avalon was superb. Kind, loving care. Clean facility. Activities and great music for residents. It was a difficult end of life situation for my Mom. Maria and her staff were attentive and loving. They really care and focus on what matters. Dignity, respect and great care. I cannot say enough about Avalon. Helped our family with a difficult time. Mom loved Avalon, as do I! I would be happy to discuss Avalon with anyone who has a loved one who is needing care. God bless Maria and her tremendous staff!!!

Great grandparent love the staff & care that she receive from this facility! I recommend this place for any dementia patients. She's always bragging on how much her nurse " Mr Xavier" spends time with her & when I call for follow ups the director " Ms Maria" is very detailed on menu & any issues that might be life threatening. My family is able to visit with no problem. It was the best choice for us! God bless these people...

My sister and I had to relocate our dad from Alabama to Tx rather quickly. Maria Yepez and the staff all made it work seamlessly and as stress free as possible. It's been almost 8 months with dad at the Garland Avalon and we are so pleased with their care. The entire facility is clean and on the few occasions when I found dad had made a mess in his room, the staff were quick and pleasant in straightening things up. They offer activities such as a one man band to dance and sing along. Games and arts/crafts. The staff is very gentle and kind in redirecting clients. My dad has Lewy Body Dementia which means he may not always be oriented but the staff are patient and kind. We feel very confident that our dad is being treated with dignity and respect at Avalon Memory Care in Garland.

First, Maria the director at Garland is the best. Always accessible and always helpful. This is a memory care center and there are patients at all stages of the disease. My friend has been with Avalon for at least two years and they treat her so well. As the disease has progressed they have done everything they can to make her life comfortable. She will be there til the end. There are more expensive places that have more things to do, but my friend cannot do those things. So this is the best place for her. They always do their best and I am thankful for it.

My brother and i are so thankful we found Avalon Memory Care. Our mother was in another facility prior to Avalon Memory Care. The prior facility was a horrible nightmare. Avalon Memory Care is the opposite. The manager Maria and the entire staff is wonderful, they're very helpful and kind to all of the residents., it is always clean, and we have no problem reaching them. All of Mom's physical needs are met on a daily basis, they take very good care of her.

My grandmother has been a resident with Avalon Memory Care for around 8 months and I have to say it's the best memory care she has been in. The director Maria always answers her phone, and most importantly she is always present.. I trust them. Keep up the great work!

This is a wonderful facility. This facility is always clean and well maintained. The manager, Maria Yetez and her staff always makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door and treats the residents like they are their family. I would definantly recommend this facility 100%.

My husband was at Avalon Memory Care in Garland for almost 4 months. He had dementia and was very hard to handle at times. All of the staff there worked with him. They were quite patient and caring. I believe they could see through to who he was before this terrible disease. He passed away at Avalon and everyone was so nice and caring at a very bad time in our lives.

I absolutely recommend anyone who is looking for a place for there loved one. Avolon has been the best decision I have ever made for mine. There staff cares for the residents they treat them as if they are there own family members. Maria is the manager there at this location is she goes beyond anyone I have ever seen for them. When my brother first went there I did not think he was going to make it. But the staff there has really worked with all his needs and know he is looking better than ever. My husband has been a resident at Avalon Memory Care in Garland for almost eighteen months and I am pleased with his care. There were a couple of hiccups early but were taken care of promptly. His room is always clean and neat. Maria Yetez, the Director, and her staff are polite and professional. I'm also pleased that he is seen by the staff nurse weekly.

We have been very pleased with Avalon Memory Care. The staff is caring and responsive to my familys needs and the facility is always clean and inviting. Both of my parents have lived at Avalon for several years. We have had many challenges and difficulties especially with my Dad. Through each transition, the staff was helpful and supportive. No matter how difficult my Dad was, they always found a solution. We could not have asked for more.

My mother had Alzheimers for 12 years, she spent her last 9 months at Avalon. Picking a facility was one of the hardest things I have ever done, but we just couldnt take care of her at home any longer. Talking to Matt about placing her in Avalon was the deciding factor. He assured me she would have eyes on her 24-7. When moms Sundowners would hit, Judy the director, would make space in her office and play moms favorite songs. Every single one of the staff took care of my mom the way I would have. They made sure she was comfortable and clean and had the attention she needed. Even taking shifts walking with her. She could not have spent her last days in a better place and I thank each and every person there for taking care of my mom - the most important person in my life. Susan Baker
