My mother spent 6 months at Iris Memory Care and they were so present and supportive to their patients that my mother wasn't simply maintained, she was stimulated physically, cognitively, and thru love and joy of their talented staff. There is true hospitality on the floor everyday, with their awesome staff keeping our loved ones joyful.When mom arriwith no recognition of herself or where she belonged. That was January 2023. We finally found the right place for our Mom! Iris's medical team is highly educated and trained in all types of dementia. They have a dementia support group for family of residents (and even non-residents). They are also active in the Alzheimer's Association. Their goal is to keep the resident engaged and happy. We three daughters are extremely active in our Mother's care and continually push for the best. When we met with the Marketing Director, I was floored by her knowledge and her obvious care for the residents. And we continued to see the same with the rest of the staff. They address concerns quickly. The residents are their priority. And that makes me feel good....because my Mom is my priority too.

Honestly this place is okay but its has its downfalls like any other company. The staff at night dont do their jobs like they should (sleeping, not changing gloves, not doing bed checks at 3.) Honestly the day time shifts are very motivational for the residents. Gets them up and moving. But if you are going to spend that much money on this place take them somewhere better. Not worth it.

My wife was at Iris for only a few months before her passing. We , My sisters, cousins and I, would visit regularly. We could see the love the staff has for each resident. In my wife's building the residents are more advanced and several require assistance with their meals. Every meal was all hands on Deck even Sundays I would see the administrator feeding a resident. I have attended many support groups the last few years and have heard numerous "Horror Stories" about Memory care. Many complain they can't get a hold of the nurse or the Administrator or just can't get anyone to call them back. At Iris one of the first things they do is make sure you have all the phone numbers you need and are told to text or call any time 24/7. When we checked my wife in to Iris her life long best friend came out from California to help. The Nurse at Iris made sure she had her cell phone number and told her to make sure to text her anytime but to call if she needed an update late at night. She said a text wouldn't wake her up so a call was best. This is the kind of service we get from Iris. when we checked my wife in to Iris she wouldn't walk and couldn't hold her head up. With in days of being at Iris they had Physical therapy working with her and she was up walking again. Once Hospice elevated my wife's status to "Imminent" my family and I were at Iris for almost 36 hours straight. We got to experience every shift and each and every staff member was caring and kind. One thing that I didn't expect was the staff that would come by the room after their shift ended just to say good by to my wife in case she was gone before they returned to work the next day. At Iris they treated my wife like family and not just a patient

I am a Physical therapist and I love seeing patients in this facility! The Director is the best around, with unmatched employee management skills and professional-level expectations from all staff and medical personnel that have interaction with the residents. The facility’s Registered Nurse is demanding of the highest level of medical care from physician’s, nurses, and therapists whom provide resident care on the premises. Caregivers are approachable and knowledgeable and are an integral part of each of the resident’s lives. The staff treat the residents like family and make this facility great!

We moved my mom into Iris from a different facility, about a month ago. Within the first week, she was taking part in their activities, her mobility had improved and she has shown much improvement. The Med aides, the Nursing staff and DD, the director, are wonderful! And my mom has grown to love Raye, who is in charge of activities and is also an aide. It has been such a relief to not have to be there 24/7, to make sure she is getting the care she needs. Iris Memory Care of Edmond has been a God send for sure.

Can't begin to say enough good things about Iris Memory Care. After months of research & numerous visits to other facilities in the OKC/Edmond area, I chose Iris for the BEST Mom ever! The staff is awesome and they interact with the residents beautifully. Ray-Ray and the gang always have fun activities going on. (Best Halloween ever)!! I visit 3 to 4 evenings a week and the food is always well presented and spectacular! But, above all, my Mom has adjusted well and seems very happy. Glad I did the homework!

Realizing you can no longer care for your loved one and must place them somewhere is gut wrenching. There are all sorts of feelings of guilt and sorrow that go along with it. You lose sleep worrying and crying about it. Then, you find a place like Iris Memory Care of Edmond. The care that the residents receive is excellent. So while you still have some guilt, you no longer have the worries and you can rest better at night. The administration has an open door policy. It is not unusual to find my mother just kicking back and hanging out in the administrator’s office. It is not unusual for the Administator to call me so my mom and I can talk to each other. The Director of Nursing also has excellent communication with the families. If there is any concern about health or medication it is not unusual for me to receive a call or text. She is a true advocate for her patients. The rest of the staff is excellent as well. They genuinely care about my loved one’s well being and I often see her receive hugs and affection pats from them. They encourage her independence as much as her condition allows. So, if you have to place your LO in someone else’s care, I would recommend Iris Memory Care of Edmond.

We moved our brother-in-law to Iris from a memory care unit in Mustang that, although they advertise denentia care, have no idea how to deal with dementia patients. Of all the places I visited, Iris was the warmest and most welcoming. The part that really sold me was that, as DeeDee was giving me a tour, the residents were coming to HER to talk or just say hi. This was a definite sign the residents feel loved and are very comfortable in their surroundings. We are very pleased with Iris!

I moved my Dad to Iris Memory Care from another memory care facility in OKC. I live out of state and wanted a safe, caring community for him with great communication. Iris exceeded all my expectations. The staff knew my Dad, looked for ways to engage him, provide activities and field trips he enjoyed and their communication was excellent. They provided opportunities to FaceTime with him. When I visited the facility I felt included and welcomed. Daddy was well cared for, supported and loved at Iris. And I was too.

This place is beautiful and welcoming! I watched closely at how the staff treated the residents. They did so with upmost courtesy and care. They take time to genuinely know things about each of the residents, beyond their name and who is paying the bill. They actually know their interests and incorporate those interests in the living environment. It helps the residents to feel comfortable and important. I was really impressed by some of the unique stimulation tools and activities that they have readily available to residents. I would have peace of mind if my family member was here.
