Our family had a very good experience with Bridges and we are so grateful for the care they provided to our mom. The staff treated her with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion, and it gave us peace of mind knowing she was in such caring hands. When we encountered an issue the leadership team took our concerns very seriously. They met with us, listened, addressed the situation, and took meaningful steps to make it right. We want to especially thank Mike Toce, who truly went above and beyond and showed my mom and our entire family an incredible level of care.

As an Aging Life Care Manager who is very protective of my clients and their families, I feel confident handing families off to Stephanie Riggio knowing they are in excellent hands. The community itself is beautiful, the staff is warm and attentive, and my overall experience has been extremely positive. I’m grateful to have such a trusted resource for the clients I serve. Stephanie has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Every family I’ve referred to her has shared how knowledgeable she is, but more importantly, how sensitive and supportive she is during a stressful time. Transitioning a loved one into a dementia community is never easy, and Stephanie consistently makes families feel informed, reassured, and cared for. I am so appreciative.

I toured Bridges by Epoch twice over the past few months. Each time I left extremely impressed with the community. Everyone who works there genuinely enjoys their job. The Navigators program is a fantastic offering for a population needing more than assisted living, but not quite ready for full memory care. Stephanie Riggio, Senior Advisor, is an excellent representative of the community. She is attentive, answers questions thoughtfully and doesn’t oversell. It has been an authentic experience for both me and my clients.

My words can not do justices to the quality of attention the Bridges gives to each of their residences . Their staff are well knowledge in their field and extremely friendly and fun and welcoming and go above and beyond 100% of the time. They create an environment that is above all. If you haven’t been in a Bridges by Epoch, you should. Dean Brown, their Community liaison, is wonderful; his attention to detail and support for the senior community and local resources is exceptional and inspiring.

All of the staff at Bridges at Norwalk take such good care of my dad - starting from the executive director through all the departments. They are so kind and have a genuine interest in ensuring that he and all of the residents are well cared for. Several who are in direct contact with dad learned that he also speaks French and they converse that way everyday. Meals are delicious and guests are invited to join anytime. The chef is very creative and accommodating. There are fun, daily activities to keep residents' bodies and minds active. In the image, dad was presenting to residents and guests about one of the books he wrote. Another resident author did the same a few weeks earlier. The staff sees each resident for the whole person they were before their memory began to fail and they strive to recall and celebrate their accomplishments. Everyone is treated with dignity. There is a lovely, safe outdoor space with nice sitting areas and a paved walking path plus a great rooftop area with frequent musical performances in the warmer weather. The entire team is wonderful and I highly recommend Bridges at Norwalk to anyone seeking a memory care residence for their loved one.

Bridges is a wonderful place. My dad is there now and we love it. Gina is a tireless advocate for your loved one. She's smart and honest and great at seeing the big picture of what everyone is going through. Simple things like the food being really good and the residents going on lunch trips (with no additional charges, etc.) are huge pluses. Jessica and Brittany are great and the rest of the staff is kind, friendly, and upbeat--which is beyond important. The most telling part to me is that when I'm on the phone with my dad and any member of the staff comes in (not knowing I'm on the phone), they are kind to my dad and joke with him. That to me is everything. It's an impossible time in life--having a loved one in memory care. We are just beyond thankful for Bridges.

What a blessing it was to find a place for our beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother to move to as it became too much for her to live alone in the home she had lived in for over 60 years. It wasn’t easy to convince her that it was the best answer but we thought she should try it out. Her quality of life has significantly improved in the 2+ months that she has been residing at Bridges. She is surrounded by friendly welcoming people, enjoys the activities and camaraderie of the other residents and the staff. Fun trips to local cafes, museums and the beach have made weekdays special. The care she has received has been truly a blessing. Her meals have been well-received and varied. A respite from preparing solo repasts, a time to be waited on and a time to enjoy mealtimes. Also, the holiday celebrations and musical entertainment offered makes it a delightful environment to live in. Cynde Bloom Lahey

My sister and I moved my Dad into Bridges about 6 months ago and have been so relieved. We are never worried about him not receiving the care he needs even when we can't be there. The environment is like a family - we know the attendants well and dad feels comfortable with them. It is a very down-to-earth community there. And his life and health have finally gotten stabilized! And the best part is we can go visit him as often as we like. Kudos to the team at Bridges!

Even with full time care, my aunt’s situation at home was becoming increasingly chaotic and unmanageable. She was resisting care and becoming more and more isolated and lonely. Bridges has provided her with a caring community that understands her needs and challenges as well as the companionship she was missing. She is treated with dignity and respect by the entire staff. Her quality of life has been much improved has had my peace of mind as her caregiver. She even likes the food - which is no small achievement.

I highly recommend Bridges by Epoch in Norwalk. My mother lived there for about eight months, and during that time she was treated with gentle kindness, respect, and loving care. As her memory continued to fail, the staff was sweet and very attentive to her. Mom benefited greatly from their skilled nursing and daily care, and I was always treated so thoughtfully whenever I came to visit her. The administration and front office staff were welcoming from the first moment of inquiry to the day she passed. The nursing staff was always helpful in answering my questions and attending to my requests. They took a real interest in my mom and met her changing need’s immediately. Her care providers showed genuine love and appreciation for her, and for that and all described above, I am truly grateful.

I have been attending the caregiver support groups hosted by Bridges by EPOCH at Norwalk for the past 6 months and can honestly say they have saved my life. From day one, Alecia Seaver, the moderator and other caregiver participants made me feel like I was part of their family. In fact we all wish we could gather together more than once a month because we look forward to getting together. Everyone shares their issues, asks for advice and learns from each other. I went for a tour of the Bridges by EPOCH facility in Norwalk, CT and was so impressed with the cleanliness, amenities, activities and experienced staff. I highly recommend other caregivers to join our support group and take a tour of the facility. I promise you won't be disappointed, only appreciative. Arlene Putterman

I've had experience with Bridges since it opened a few years ago. It is a warm, comfortable place for people with significant cognitive issues. Epoch has a good reputation so I would have no issue recommending people check it out. And the food is actually really good; I've eaten in the community with my clients unannounced and Bridges delivers the quality of food promised during discovery.

With the efficient and caring staff at Bridges-Norwalk, my clients, a husband and wife, enjoyed the smoothest transition to facility living that I have seen in my ten years as an elder care specialist. The Bridges staff worked tirelessly and quickly to set up my clients’ room to make it as comfortable and welcoming as possible. When my clients arrived, Addie Ricci, the director, spent the entire afternoon with them to make them feel at home. My clients have moved nearly seamlessly into their new life at Bridges-Norwalk. I continue to be impressed with the exceptional care my clients are receiving.

Bridges Norwalk has been an excellent resource for the community. They have opened their doors and services to those in need of information and support related to memory loss and care. I have attended for a year the information sessions as as well as webinars to support me in the care of my parents at home. Expressions of caring were also shown in activities that those outside of Bridges could attend. They were enjoyable and appreciated. The staff has displaced genuine care for their clients as caretakers in the the community of Norwalk and surrounding areas.

The Norwalk Bridges is warm and welcoming to both residents and family members! What I appreciate most about Bridges is the respect given to residents from all staff members. Residents are treated with dignity regardless of their current condition. I enjoy participating in activities with mom and am always welcomed whenever I show up. I have learned so much from the staff about how to interact with my mother as her Dementia progresses. I model approaches from staff members to engage and re-engage mom for more meaningful visits. My mother is so much more than just a resident. When I visit staff members take the time to share how mom is doing today or an activity that she particularly enjoyed; they know her and know how to relate to her as an individual. The director, Addie, is very responsive. If I have an issue, concern, question I email and get a response the same day. I know from experience that issues/concerns I have shared have been addressed. Rather than defending 'her institution' she consistently tries to make it better. From a physical stand point both residents and the facility are kept clean. Furniture is functional and comfortable. There are multiple places to sit and spend time with a loved one. I wish mom did not need Bridges, but I am glad and grateful that she can be there.

Moving my mom to an assisted living facility was without a doubt the most stressful and worrisome time of my life. Now 89 and after living almost her entire adult life in the same house, this move was obviously very upsetting to my mom as well. I researched several facilities in the Norwalk, Darien area and finally chose Bridges. The decision was originally based mainly on the physical appearance of the residents and the building itself. It is a beautiful place. But how do you really know what goes on once your loved one is living there? That was my biggest concern. My fears and concern were soon answered. We had many family members that were attempting to interfere with my mom's well being and it quickly escalated to a court matter. Stress level went through the roof. I write this review today knowing 100% that if it was not for the caring staff and management, this would have ended very badly. I cannot speak highly enough of Addie, the general manager. She is a rock but also one of the most caring people I have ever met. Her leadership saved the day. Now six months later my mom has slowly begun to make Bridges her new home. The staff is fantastic. Very caring people. I would recommend Bridges without hesitation to anyone looking for a memory care facility.
