It was a very emotionally difficult move from assisted living to memory care for my mom (and me). But the staff at Oak Hills Terrace went above and beyond to accommodate her and us. I couldn't speak highly enough of the Director's prompt response to our needs and the Sales Director immediately bonded with my mom and made her feel safe. Great team of caregivers and nursing staff. My Dad moved to Oak Hills 8 months ago. From the very first visit to Oak Hills, I knew the administration and staff were honest, capable, and loving caregivers. Not only did they care for my dad, they walked alongside me during his journey through dementia. I have had many worries during the past 8 months, but I never worried about him being taken care of.

Oak Hills has been such a blessing to my family. ALL of the staff take such good care of my mom and they are always there when we need them. My sister was going through chemo treatments and is now in Hospice. I feel better knowing they are there for my mom in every way while my family is dealing with the need to support my sister. Thank you to all of the team of worker's at Oak Hills, my family appreciates the dedication you have shown when it comes to taking care of my mom.

For over two years my mom lived at Oak Hills Terrace Memory Care. It was a long and heart wrenching decision to move her there but turned into the best thing for her late in her life dealing with Alzheimer's Disease. The staff at Oak Hills are so kind and so caring…it's more like a big extended family living in community. The care is exceptional and the activities are meaningful and engaging. The activity's director, Stella, is the BEST!! My mom was such a social person she just loved it and everyone there. On March 16th she passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side. We are eternally grateful for the care provided on every level. We miss visiting there already. As a nurse who spent many years working in long-term care settings, I can honestly say that Oak Hills is a place where people love to live and work…and that's a rare find.

This facility is 100% the best I have ever seen they care for you like family, not only do they care about your loved ones they care about you, from the second you enter their care. They go above and beyond what is required. Every member of this staff has been respectful of my mother and me!!! We have not been there long but every time I have visited, there has always been someone to greet me and our interacting with the residents in a positive and respectful way it's not always easy, but they make it happen!

I couldn't have picked a better place for my Mom to live, she was in need of very special care…Everyone there has worked very hard in making my Mom a happier, healthier dementia patience. They're family to her and very good at making sure all her needs are met. I can take a vacation and know that my Mom is safe, happy and being cared for. We love Oak Hills Terrace Memory Care! My Mom was a dementia patience at Oakhills Memory Care in Tyler. I know for a fact that I couldn't have had better caring people helping me care for her. She passed in early Oct. 2023. My Mother has been at Oak Hills Terrace for the past two years. The management is very responsive to questions and any issue brought to their attention. The caregivers have continually given Mother personalized and true, loving care. The SPARK program is an excellent way to keep the residents engaged and active. They also host many events for the residents and their families throughout the year. The facility is lovely and well-maintained. Our family is very happy that we chose OHT.

I chose Oak Hills Terrace because unlike other facilities staff offices are located amongst the residents which means if there is a problem assistance comes quickly plus the staff understands the needs to its residents more due to more interaction and observation. I also like that each side is a mirror of the other and includes a living room type area with mantle similar to a fireplace, a large dining/activity room, a courtyard outdoor space, and another small kitchen area for snacks, special dinners, etc.

While putting my mom in a memory care facility was the Last thing I ever thought I would do, I feel thankful and blessed to have found Oak Hills. She is safe, well cared for and stays active and is loved by the staff. They are always there for family support as well.

My parents have resided at Oak Hills for over a year now. I've been very pleased with the care they have received. Members of the management team are very accessible and quick to respond when I need to talk with them. They contact me quickly whenever there is a change in the condition of my parents. Staff treats my folks with dignity and respect even though it's not always easy to communicate with them. My father enjoys to many activities that are offered. Oak Hills Terrace has been wonderful! We recently moved my dad here from another memory care facility and it has been like night and day! We are so thankful we found it. The staff is gentle and caring and the management is exceptional. We can finally have peace knowing my dad is receiving the excellent care he deserves.

This facility is amazing. I personally don't have any family in there, but I have marketed to them. The staff is always super welcoming and informative. The Director, Andrew, pretty much always has his door open so the residence can come in and say hi or ask for anything. Sarah, has done an amazing job with events and bringing the family closer and allowing them to be more involved with their loved ones at their new homes. If you have a family member that needs memory care, this is hands down the best place to bring them!

Great place for anyone looking for a facility specifically for Alzheimer's/ Dementia. They have an excellent program dedicated to keeping residents as independent and happy for as long as possible. My best friend's mom unfortunately had to become a resident here, yet fortunately the superior care she seems to be receiving is incomparable to other friends' parents' experiences in every other place I've heard about. My father is showing signs of dementia and this would be the only facility I would consider checking him into in the Tyler area. I'm told the staff have saintly patience and are equipped with nurturing strategies that also exercise the brain to coax surges of genuine memories that keep them "with" us longer while feeling safe and comforted. I wish I never had to make this move...dementia sucks.
