I lost my dear 87-year-old dad to Alzheimer's disease this week. The last few months of his life my mom was no longer able to care for him at home, so we made the very difficult decision to move him to Chandler House. We are so thankful for the kind and loving care he received from the Chandler House staff. The facility is not set up like a nursing home. It's more of a homelike setting with each resident having a private bedroom and a common living/dining room. The facility is broken into four separate small living units, which encourages the residents to get to know one another. The transition was hard for dad the first few days, but after he settled in, he was comfortable there. He spent most of his days in the living room in a big comfy recliner tucked in with a warm fleecy throw. I am comforted knowing that he was able to spend his final days in a warm friendly atmosphere, being cared for by people who treated him with kindness and love. I was impressed by the staff and would recommend Chandler House to other families seeking care for their loved ones with dementia.

I want to thank Lynette for getting back to me. I really do appreciate it. Im sorry that my post was so negative. Ive had several others that have never returned a call to this day. I do plan on going to look at the facility. Again thank you Lynette.

I am so impressed with not only the staffing, the education of the staff but that theres an RN on board most of the day and night! They keep great charting! The team make your loved one feel like they are home! I feel confident that my dad is in excellent hands and do not have to worry about him all the time!
