We are so grateful for the wonderful care my mother is receiving at the Artis. The Caregivers are truly exceptional- they watch over her closely, help her with daily tasks, and treat her more like a friend or family member than simply a resident. Tara, Joanna, Angul, and all of the nurses treat my mom with love and respect. The are so patient and caring and are truly great at what they do. The entire community has such a loving and compassionate atmosphere. My mom is enjoying the recreational activities and has made new friends. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, especially during the spring and summer months when residents can enjoy spending time outdoors. Knowing mom is safe, happy and so well cared for gives our family tremendous peace of mind. I was very apprehensive about moving her to a memory care facility, but his place has far exceeded all of our expectations. I highly recommend the Artis Senior Living to any family looking for compassionate and attentive memory care for a loved one.

Mom was the ninth resident in Artis of Brick. One of her first care partners was Michelle Joseph. It was during Covid when we had to have window visits. It was comforting to see that Mom loved Michelle and that she was very well taken care of. In the last four years there have been many care partners that have stood out because of their knowledge, compassion and dedication. In addition to Michelle Joseph, I would like to mention Dalia. There are so many others but unfortunately, I know their faces but not their names.

Joe, the chief of maintenance was especially kind to my brother Paul. He let him help in repainting an old piece of furniture. He then doubly surprised him by letting him have the furniture for his own room. There are so many caring professionals at Artis just to name a few here: Melissa, Shanique, Amelie, Izmide care partners, Marissa, Bertine, Roz nurses, Amanda, Morgan, Denise, Amy, Meghan and Joe (who has replaced 3 TV’s) from administration, Christine in activities, T from the kitchen to the woman Z in housekeeping and so many more! This team is amazing and so wonderful and supportive to my husband and me. I love that everyone calls my husband and the residents by name. How do they do that? There is a happy vibe through out. I truly trust them with the care of my husband.

From the moment you walk in you get a warm feeling - the concierges are very welcoming and care about your day - managers doors are open and greet you always - from that point as you walk inside all staff from care givers , to maintenance and housekeepers greet you and interact with the residents - you will even find the housekeepers taking time to sit with a resident doing an activity - you will even find the administrator having lunch with a resident /// To be able to have your loved one walk free without alarms is extremely important with this very difficult diagnosis of dementia/ Alzheimer’s.

We went to visit Artis as a possibility for our mom after assisted living and a stay in rehab. It was an emotional time for me, it’s my mom, and Amy and Nicole were fantastic! They sat down and took the time to explain the difference between long term care and memory care. They showed me around and I fell in love with the environment. Nicole went to evaluate my mom and treated her with the dignity and respect that I feel my mom deserves! Unfortunately, we have concerns about mom’s abilities and we decided that this wasn’t the right fit for our mom BUT, we will definitely consider again if our mom’s health improves. These ladies are amazing and so is any staff that we met. All smiles and seemed to genuinely care.

Artis Senior Living is a beautiful community that only deals with memory impairment individuals. They have four neighborhoods within the community that are named after places in Brick. From the outside you would never know how large their backyard is. The grounds are kept clean with beautiful landscaping. The staff are great, and treat the residents like family, especially Ruth (LPN) who’s in the Health & Wellness department. Definitely recommend Artis if you’re looking to place your loved one.

After given the difficult task of finding a safe, happy environment for my mother who was experiencing progressive memory loss, I was grateful to discover Artis. My mother has been a resident of Artis for 5 months now and I continue to be amazed at the staff and my mom’s enhanced quality of life. She is content and social, and most importantly, unburdened by the effects of Alzheimer’s. Joalene Senk, Director of the Artis Way Experience, is the day-to-day family liaison. With Job-like patience, she fields early-morning calls and late-night texts. For our family, Artis Senior Living is an investment which has returned unquestioned dividends.

Mom's dementia had progressively gotten worse during 2019 and my family needed to make a decision to move her from assisted living into a dementia care environment. We were apprehensive about the move but after understanding the "Artis Way" philosophy and seeing the community we were convinced we needed to move mom in order to get her the best care possible. Mom moved in just before the COVID lockdown and Artis kept us informed through daily Facebook updates with pictures of mom and Zoom calls. They were able to get mom back to coloring. Mom was so happy and we could see how see loved the Artis staff on our Zoom calls. Artis provides daily and unique activities every day. Mom needs this stimulation to feel happy. They have special events for holidays that are fun, unique and encourage all families to engage with the community. The transparency of information and weekly updates during the pandemic have given us tremendous comfort that mom is safe and well cared for. We've got to know the staff and they are well educated on caring for those with dementia. They have become part of mom's family. We couldn't be happier with our decision. In my opinion, Artis is setting the bar high for dementia care.
