"Home is where the heart is" and this home has a lot of heart! From its spacious apartments to its home-like atmosphere in the many large and well-decorated public spaces, Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood checked-off all the boxes for my father and his family. Every detail has been thought thru in order to make sure the residents feel at home. Especially important for us were the large windows throughout the building that allowed for a great amount of sunlight to come in and for the outside world to always be a part of the residents' and visitors' experience. The beautiful lawn & garden (enclosed for safety) offers a great place to spend time enjoying each of the four seasons. An equally important aspect is the short walking/driving distance to nearby shops and restaurants; great for family gatherings as well as the day trips offered to residents by the EPOCH staff. A real perk(!) is the Route 128 Amtrak station just a 1/2 mile away. This allows for family members in NYC to make easy visits. From our first introduction to Bridges at Westwood Pete went above & beyond to give us the time, care, and assistance that we needed. He made sure that all of our questions were fully addressed. This community is exactly what we were looking for - a welcoming place for our father.

Peter Bruce spoke to the Dedham Retired Men's Club and discussed The Warning Signs of Alzheimer's Disease and answered questions. A few weeks later, our members toured the Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood facility for a discussion again on Signs of Alzheimer's Disease. It is a beautiful place.

Great community where residents can feel at home and friendly staff that treat residents like their own. Walking in the garden, with freedom, is a pleasure for them. With many activities to choose from, boredom is not an option. There is something for everyone to do!

I have visited the community several times as a healthcare worker. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. The community is furnished with a warm home feeling and the outside garden area is beautifully landscape for the residents to enjoy.

I cannot say enough about Bridges. The facility is spotless, and homey. The staff is obliging and caring. Bridges encourages family to participate in care, allowing visits off hours or if you prefer to come for dinner or stay over night to support your family member or have a companion all can be arranged. Even overnight excursion or weekend away are allowed.

Any time you're dealing with family members who have memory care needs it's always difficult. Bridges is part of the Waterstone family and I believe strives to provide 5-star care. Other facilities seem older and not updated as well and updates are super important to do. Bridges has more light and a better feel IMO. All of the staff are great, from admission to ongoing care. They are available and willing to address any concerns or needs, while supporting families. There's always going to be hiccups--the key in any organization is how they are handled and having open communication. So far I've had positive experiences with Bridges and encourage people to check them out!

Bridges of Epoch is a high quality facility in every category. The staff specializes in memory care at all levels. The interior and exterior is impeccably kept and very welcoming. Bridges gives back to the community as well in the form of educational and informative speakers from all relative professions. Bridges sponsors the Norwood Memory Cafe Inc. and is a partner in providing the needs of the participants at the cafe. This generous contribution allows the non profit, 501(c)3 to continue to offer the Care Free of charge to All. I am sincerely grateful for the supports staff and from Peter Bruce and Grace Doherty. Our program collaboration benefits their residents and participants of the Norwood Memory cafe. Take a tour with their wonderful staff and see what others are raving about. My husband has been a resident at the Bridges/Westwood for almost one year. Our family had been taking care of him at home with multiple caretakers. We thought ok this is working of course we had no comparison. A friend suggested we look at the Bridges, almost one year later we know we made the right decision. Yes, the facility is lovely, the food great, the staff working hard taking care of so many (especially with staffing in health care facilities so challenged). My husband is thriving at the Bridges. He enjoys never ending social activities. He is never in his apartment always roaming around (safely) socializing with other residents and enjoying all the well planned activities and entertainment. When Valentines Day rolled around I was blown away with the lovely Valentines lunch put together by caring staff. Observing the couples (us included) having an hour or two (enjoying what still is for us was heartwarming). Its the little things that matter when our loved ones are not at our side any longer. Well Bridges Staff you know how to make this new phase in our life almost doable! Thank you especially Lori and of course so many others outstanding staff. Kathy Walsh’Bishop

i am writing this review to warn families . What you are told about services and quality of care for your loved one is not true.My sister was a resident in Westwood. From the top (administration & head nurse)down to the aids who were mostly contract employees who didn't know the residences needs nor did they care. They spent more time on their cell phones than caring for residence. My sister lost her sight and the aids were never told. what you are told when you interview is not what you receive. Except for one nurse and a lovely kitchen worker there was no care. If your loved one only need 3 meals a day this is the place for you. I wish I had known how understaffed , lack of continuity of care and lack of careing at this facility . When my sister died they didn't even call to express sympathy... that's who they are....it's all about the money!

I am extremely pleased to highly recommend Bridges by Epoch at Westwood for families or any of my colleagues in the senior care field. The community is warm, inviting, and well-kept inside and outside, with its beautiful, secure outdoor space and gardens. I've had the pleasure of working with Peter and Maggie, who were knowledgeable and professional at every turn in assisting us and our family, and it is always done with a note of personal flare. My correspondence with the dedicated care team, including George and many others, is collaborative and professional, and their communication is always returned quickly and concerns addressed swiftly. One of their superpowers is that they do not give up on challenges. As a team, including the Executive Director, Barbara, they brainstorm for out-of-the-box solutions to give their residents and families peace and comfort in a warm and inviting environment. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication in collaboration with our families and Senior Steps to achieve the very best results for all concerned. I have attended several caregiver support workshops by Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood and have found them very helpful. The experience, compassion and professionalism conveyed during these groups is wonderful and again, very helpful. We are not yet a resident of Bridges but they are providing a real community service presenting these support groups and having them open to the public, not just families of residents. AND, I learned that they are also a great source for questions even if you are not a resident. They are a wonderful group of knowledgeable, caring people.

Bridges of Westwood is a lovely Memory Care community conveniently located off University Drive. The community has 4 neighborhoods, all with a very homey feel, a beautiful enclosed yard and a fabulous patio. Our BAYADA care team has the privilege of working with the engaged and professional nursing team as well as the wonderful sales team. It is a great choice for your loved one.

I can't say enough about the wonderful care my mother received at the Bridges in Westwood. Their entire focus is on caring for elderly residents with memory loss. The staff, medical team and business professionals that work there have a deep understand of what their residents' needs are. The atmosphere is homey, and the food is excellent. Their activities are specifically tailored for people with dementia, and they care for each person like they were family. My mother came alive when we moved her to the Bridges. My only regret is that we didn't move her there sooner.

I have attended several zoom presentations by Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood and have learned much from each presentation! Through these presentations, I think Bridges is providing a real community service as well as helping families, friends and caregivers of those residing at Bridges. The most recent presentation I attended featured Brent Forester, MD from McLean Hospital's Geriatric Psychiatry department speaking on Alzheimer' s Disease and Healthy Brain Aging. I greatly appreciated their recommendations backed by research on such topics as heart disease management, the importance of activity, nutrition, and so much more. I came away from the presentation feeling both hopeful and informed about concrete steps to take for the best chance of good outcomes.

I have a friend who resides there and the amenities are fabulous. Always something going on! The place is tastefully decorated, allowing for a homey feel for the residents. The staff is friendly and interacts well, not only with the residents, but visitors as well.
