When choosing a memory care for my dad, I visited many places and I knew the Monarch was the right fit for him. The staff truly cares about the residents and treats them like family, they keep the residents engaged. My dad enjoys the activities, entertainment and feels safe and happy, he is thriving in this environment. The director, Jane, is compassionate and cares about the residents, which shows. Jane and her staff are quickly available to assist and help with any concerns that may arise, which gives me the comfort and confidence to know they have his best interest at heart.

I found in October 2025 The Monarch of Henderson. I had a very personal/emotionally releasing interview with Managing Facility Professionals of what I was in need of, to safe guard my then 90 year old mother with diagnosed Dementia/Alzheimer. I immediately felt heard and validated. Took the tour of the entire facility and selected a private unit for my mom. Four of the Managing Facility Professionals came to our home to meet my mother. It was a joy to see my mother interact so freely with each of them. The Monarch of Henderson accepted my mother and we accepted them for a Residential Memory Care Home. The facility offers everything I could think of on site: all meals, laundry service, medical professions to include podiatrist, primary care, medication distribution, daily vitals, beauty salon. My mom's unit is personalized with her own furnishings. The planned field trips and weekly In House Entertainment is Above & Beyond. Every holiday, every birthday is recognized in a festive way.

My husband adores his care partners at the Monarch at Henderson. Gwen, MoMo, Mua and Lotis, just to name a few, are so compassionate and caring in attending to his needs, and their love and concern for him is obvious. The Med Techs here do much more than administer medications. They also administer care and keep me informed of questions or concerns about his health. The administration is very hands on and responsive to all communications. They offer a family meeting and a support group every month to help us on this difficult journey. The facility itself is bright, cheerful and clean and there are activities and occasional field trips for the residents. We are very pleased with our stay at the Monarch.

Monarch Memory Care is truly all about the people who work there. Each employee goes beyond their ordinary job and treats residents with patience, respect, and genuine care. The management team has an open-door policy and is always quick to respond to requests, which makes a big difference for families. I appreciate how the activities are thoughtfully adjusted to fit each stage of Alzheimer’s progression. They not only provide stimulation and engagement but also recognize that families need support and coaching along the way. One of my favorite aspects is that residents who are able can enjoy outings to places like museums, movie theaters restaurants and more. My wife especially loves the live music and performers that come in regularly”it’s a real highlight for her. From top to bottom, Monarch Memory Care is built around people who truly care, and that commitment shows in every interaction.

Beautiful place! My grandmother lived there for 8 months, and it was the best decision we have ever made. The love and the care that she receives from the staff is absolutely amazing! Have nothing but praise , mom has only been a resident for a month but it really began a month before as the the director and staff helped so much with arranging everything needed working with hospice and all questions and concerns we have and had . All the staff r friendly and are willing to answer any and all questions . We r there almost every day and see staff constantly working with residents . Is it pricey yes but it shows , so very fortunate to have this memory care facility near us and all the do , highly recommend this facility .

I'm fearful of retaliation. This place is the pits. A mess. Lip service. Not worth the $$$. The nurse, Betha, doesn't follow healthcare protocols. Ask HCQC how many reports. Youre better off leaving your family member home alone and risking it. I'm giving a two star because the food is decent.

Our overall experience with Poet's Walk in Henderson, NV, adjacent to Sun City MacDonald Ranch, has been outstanding. It is incredible how close they are to Sun City Macdonald Ranch in the Horizon Ridge and Valle Verde complex. Everyone from the Executive Director Magali Ortea to the cleaning staff is fabulous. They provide exceptional care, and they treat you like family. In addition, the nurses, caregivers, front desk staff, support staff, chefs, and everyone are excellent. The level of care has been perfect; they check on each patient at least six times daily. They are very loving and make everyone feel so welcome. We were fortunate to be referred by a long-time friend whose wife is there and highly recommended Poet's Walk. From day one, they have exceeded our expectations. Thank you to everyone at Poet's Walk; you are the best!!!

The people at Poet's Walk are amazing who were very compassionate and supportive during my father-in-law's brief stay. I cannot thank Tanya, Teiona and Ashley along with the other staff members enough that were super nice to my dad while he was there, taking care of him like their own parent. It is nice to have people who care and take pride in their jobs. Thank you so much for everything you did for dad, it will never be forgotten.

Our loved one has been at Poets for 3.5 years. Recently they went through an overhaul in upper management. I can not give enough accolades for Ms. Ortiz coming in and making the necessary changes that needed to be made to improve the overall experience of the residents and their families. Magali Ortiz and Teoina were willing to sit at the table and not only hear our concerns but listen. By listening they have improved the facility 100%. The place is clean, employees have direction and are doing their jobs, the residents are engaged, the residents are happy, the residents are well care for, etc etc etc. We appreciate the efforts that have been put forth. In addressing some of the negative comments please mind that this was before new management came on. I highly recommend this facility.

I’ve had my Grandpa in Poet’s Walk for nearly two years. With all full time care facilities, it has areas that they are really strong in, and areas that they are continuing to improve in. My Grandpa is happy though, and he is still conversational and gives me reports on his care partners and other residents that he interacts with. The admin team works really hard to foster a work environment where their care partners are encouraged to spend time on their shift sitting with residents, playing games, or watching an old movie together. This is 5-star worthy. There is one area that the team at Poet’s Walk is still working at improving, and that is keeping the laundry/trashes emptied over and over all day long, so that the facility looks and smells as fresh as it actually is. The important part of my experience, if you yourself are looking for a facility for a loved one, is that my Grandpa is treated well, and Mark, their director, moves mountains to keep finding the best of the best to hire, and he really does find staff that will take good care of the residents. The doctor is great, Cory the head of maintenance is great, and will take time to try to help residents fix their belongings, the kitchen does a pretty good job, and they have activities going all day long, every day. Poet’s Walk has a good feel, friendly staff, and treat their residents well.

My sister recently passed away at this community. I am very grateful for the wonderful care, exceptional compassion and genuine assistance that was provided to her by the remarkable employees ( I think they call them care partners). They also allowed for her to keep her pet dog with her in her apartment, something no other community would allow. I will always remain grateful for all they do.

We had already made a deposit at a facility and were preparing to move our family friend the next week. A nurse at the hospital suggested we look at Poets Walk as an alternative. We are so very glad we did. The Poets Walk is amazing. Not just for the new building and how clean and bright it is but really for the people who work there. They are spot on incredible and they take care of everything for our friend. She is very happy at Poets Walk and we are happy to have found them!

Poet's Walk is the answer to a prayer for our family. My husband over Christmas was diagnosed with Dementia. I tried for a few months to do his care at home. I wasn't sleeping because he was up at night and doing things that weren't safe. I found Poet's Walk on Google. We went up to see it and we all thought it perfect. It was more than perfect! It is caring of its guests/patients It has the goal of helping them feel good about themselves It provides activities they can partake in. It feels like a loving place to both us and my husband. We were able to leave him with a feeling of peace that he is both safe and happy. It has Nurses on duty 24 hrs an excellent Physician. I couldn't ask for more!
