Taylor and staff- I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my Grandma, Joanne. I'm going to miss my weekly routine of being at Azura with my Grandma and saying Hi to other residents and staff. Azura is truly a one of kind facility! Please don't forget to reach out to me with volunteer opportunities, I filled out all the paperwork back in March but haven't received a call yet. I'd love to donate my time to Azura, the place that cared for my grandma until her last breath.

I just want to reassure you that you are making the right decision by putting your loved one with dementia in Azura Oconomowoc. I had to make the decision to put my husband in a memory care facility and was reassured and comforted during the process. And Azura is a home in every possible way. It is calming and clean. The staff has hours of training and they are very caring. There are daily activities and a beautiful backyard to walk around. The food is wonderful with lots of variety. They celebrate holidays and offer a calendar to take home so you know what is being offered to your loved one on a daily basis. Azura Oconomowoc is the right place for your loved one.

This is a long time over due. Both my parents called Azura care at Oconomowoc "Home". The staff was always attentive to mom and dad, and me when I had questions or concerns. They were kind. Compassionate. Everyone from Chris at the front desk to the amazing aide Taylor who stopped in to say hi or give a quick hug to Kellyn the resident nurse who was always on top of changes with mom and dads medical needs to the house manager Taylor and I can't forget Fred the buildings manager. There are so many more amazing people to say thanks to - activities coordinator and the food staff!!! Amazing!! The nearly two years mom and dad made this place their home - was our place to gather every Thursday night for Family dinner in the Great room. We would bring in pizza or subs and all get together with Mom and dad. After mom passed, it was dinners with dad at Azura. Every Thursday night. The staff really got to know the rest of the extended family too. I remember House manager Taylor telling me a funny story of Dad walking into her office and offering to help her work. She pulled up a chair for him and he began drawing plans for a garden. I was always impressed of the kindness I saw from everyone. They had the patience to repeat what ever mom and dad needed to make them feel at ease when things got scary. When your memory is going, it must be scary. The people here showed compassion, patience and grace. The dignity my parents had was always held high among the staff. It was so assuring to me to see this. After all, my brother and I tried to care for our parents as long as we could. It was a hard day to make that decision. Azura of Oconomowoc was there for us and any questions we had. I am forever grateful for the roll they played in our families lives helping with mom and dad.

My mother," Polly" lived at Azura for 10 months before she went to her Heavenly Home. Azura's staff (Oconomowoc) ; secretary, entire leadership, care givers, cooks, cleaning people became 2nd family to myself and my Mom. It was a friendly, positive , loving atmosphere with a clean , bright environment. The only negative I had, was the drive to and from 35-40 minutes. However, leaving my Mom in such GREAT hands was worth every mile driven!!! Thank you Azura for providing my Mom and my family with a smile, kindness and love. I treasure all of you!!!! Taylor and her team of passionate and kind caregivers are the biggest blessing for me and my family! I wish I could say all their names!! My sweet husband has been here for over a year and has Early Onset Alzheimer's. He is well cared for and well loved and the whole team here has been essential in keeping him safe and sound. They keep us well informed and welcomed at any and all times. They are much appreciated in this horrific chapter in our lives! If you are faced with a decision for Memory Care seek them out and feel assured that you will get the best care!

Friend was here for 6 months. Her husband and I talked a lot about what we saw and encountered. Nursing staff was very good and caring(most important, of course so that was a relief) but felt they were overwhelmed. Place was clean and seemed relatively safe. Extremely expensive compared to others we found. Office staff was very immature, like right out of high school. Not trustworthy at all, felt like a HS mean girls clique. I'd look at other options first before going here.

My sister lives at Azura and she tells me every time I visit, "this is such a nice place". The first time I walked in it felt warm, comfortable, and inviting. There is always ample staff, and they are kind and caring to my sister as well as being friendly with me. I eat there often (free to guests), and it is always a nice meal. I enjoy visiting my sister there, partly because it is such a pleasant place to be!

My wife has been a resident for almost 6 years.I have found that the staff meets and exceeds the four standards of the Azura Mission Statement. If in the rare instance a staff person is unable to meet these standards, they do not last very long.

It is a hard decision to have someone else care for your loved one - but, the moment I toured Azura I knew it was the right place. My husband was placed in Memory Care at Azura in Oconomowoc, and I couldn’t be more pleased with all the caregivers, medical professionals and staff that work with him to be comfortable in his new home. I feel that he is watched so much more for his medical issues, and they are communicating with me as his special needs arise. I have had the luxury of being able to visit him throughout the day and saw many interactions among the caregivers and staff with respect to the other Residents. Everyone was included as much as possible, and they seemed to be having good days. I cannot change my husband’s diagnosis, but I can change the life he has by giving him great care within a loving compassionate environment. This takes the pressure off me with respect to taking care of him and gives me the chance to spend quality time with him instead.

Mom has been at Azura Oconomowoc for almost 2 years. She is so very happy there are are we. They have the most loving, caring, professional staff that we could imagine. The care they provide is unbeatable. I highly recomment Azura. Mom has made many new friends, has the opportunity to participate in a multituce of activities and is well taken care of. I would say that they take care of her as if she was their own. Hats off to the entire team at Azura Oconomwoc!!

Azura Memory Care became our mom’s new home in October 2020. The transition was initially complicated by COVID -19 visitation protocols. The staff went out of their way to welcome our mom and help her settle in. A couple months later our dad became suddenly ill and passed after a few days in a nearby hospice facility. Azura’s staff was incredibly compassionate and helpful to our entire family during that difficult period of time. Recently, our mom’s health is declining. Azura is providing additional resources to my mom/family and again shown great compassion with her ongoing care. Recently, one of Azura’s nurses stopped to visit my mom at the local hospital. The same nurse stays in constant contact with my sister about our mom’s condition and care.

I loved visiting Azura! It is a beautiful place and the staff and residents are so happy. The facility was always so clean, decorated so cute for every holiday and soft music welcomes you as you enter most of the time. They always had activities going to interact with their residents. As I would sit there for hours visiting my long time friend I would watch everyone and could see how kindly the staff treated the residents and how they truly cared for them. I was always treated with kindness also with all my visits there. It was like being a part of a big loving family, eating together, laughing together, interacting with each other and loving each other. A beautiful place with beautiful people!

My Mom was at Azura Memory Care for a little over 2 years. She had Parkinsons Disease, and because of her disease progression, continued living with me was difficult. I checked out a lot of residential care based facilities with Mom before deciding on Azura Memory Care Oconomowoc. It was one of the most important and scary decisions to make--my Mom trusting me to find a place for her to live--a place that would be a comfortable and happy home for the last years of her life. Azura Memory Care was the right choice. Mom had a beautiful apartment that was comfortable and met all her needs. The caregivers at Azura always took care of Mom. I visited my Mom 4-5 days out of 7, and on the days I couldnt be there, I always knew she was being taken care of. She was always bathed and kept clean, her clothes and bedsheets laundered, the common areas were always well taken care of and decorated for the seasons, and the meals were very good. The activities coordinator had games for the residents, and outside entertainment was brought in. There was also a beautiful backyard with walking paths, benches, and activities planned for outside during summer months. My Mom and I were very happy with our choice of Azura Memory Care. -Liz Riedel

We moved my mother-in-law from New York to Wisconsin so she could live with us for the rest of her years. During the five months she lived with us, we discovered she had moderate to severe Alzheimers and that she really needed professional care. After lots of research and recommendations, we decided upon Azura Memory Care. During the four years she was there, the staff was always so loving and patient. We always felt she was receiving the best care. I never imagined I would move a loved one into a care facility, but after our experience, I can see why it is needed sometimes. In those times, I am extremely thankful that caring places like Azura Memory Care exist. Thank you so much to all the wonderful caretakers at Azura. You make a huge difference to so many families.
