I have found great support at Bridges through the monthly in-person support groups and educational seminars. The participants have been a fantastic resource when I am navigating solutions for caring for my parent in our home. Bonnie has provided exceptional assistance when I most needed it (and least expected it). She made space for my mother in the community so I might participate in sessions. She popped in for a quick visit to check on me when I missed a meeting due to in-home events. The information provided and offerings introduced have greatly lightened my load. I am most appreciative!

Our mother has called Bridges home for the last five years. We all feel grateful that she had the caring help of the nurses, aids, and staff there. It was so helpful to know that she was cared for and watched over. They did so much so that we, her family, could live our lives. Everyone at Bridges shows care and compassion. We knew our mother was in good hands. When she had advanced in her disease to where it was hard to get out with her, there was always great entertainment and performances for us to enjoy together. We thank all the staff for their care and help.

It’s taken me so long to realize I could not take care of my 97 year old mom any longer. Bridges was recommended to me by several friends and this place was the best thing I could have done for my mom. She has been in a week and is thriving. If you need a memory care facility for a loved oneBridges is it. The care my mom is receiving is top notch. Take a tour with Bonnie and see for yourself. You will have no regrets. If you are NOT considering having your loved one move in to Bridges, Pembroke, PLEASE read on! Our mom moved there in the middle of January 2025. She was very ill and deconditioned from a hospital stay. Due to the dedication and passion of the ENTIRE Bridges family, she was able to rally and is now able to enjoy the many amenities here. She continuously sings the songs of praise for all of the staff, from the management team, the wonderful caretakers, nursing department, hospice and culinary department to the front desk who always greets her as she passes. She has commented on the cleanliness and entertainment! To quote Mom, " they treat me royally ". Please consider Bridges, Pembroke for your loved one. The staff is so passionate, always willing to do whatever is needed and more with a smile! I truly believe that this is beyond anything we could have imagined for Mom. We are so thankful for Bridges! My father-in-law, Vinny, became a resident in September of this year. The care and compassion he receives at Bridges is beyond amazing. Every single person on staff at Bridges has been kind, caring and thoughtful to Vinny. EVERYONE! The Office Staff, Front Desk Staff, Kitchen Staff, Nurses, Aides, The Wellness Staff and The Maintenance Crew. We are so grateful that Vinny is in such a wonderful supportive community. The support that we feel as well is so appreciated. Taking care of someone with dementia can feel so overwhelming, especially when you do not have support from others. I am so thankful that Bridges has given my husband that support and the peace that comes when knowing your loved one is not only well cared for but also appreciated for who he is and met in every moment exactly where he is in the process. Thank you Bridges!!!!

My 91 yo father just spent the last 3 months at BBE Pembroke. From the minute we walked into the community until his recent passing, my father and our family were treated with care and compassion by every staff member. They took the time to get to know him and to provide him with care and affection. They supported our family during his short time there and kept us apprised of his condition as it became apparent his life was coming to an end. The nurses -- Kristy, Alice, Joanne plus the other nurses, along with Mitzah and the aides not only checked in on him but also on our family as we came and went. Valerie at the front desk and Scott the facilities manager offered support as well. Lori, the ED and Kayla the Wellness Director were visible and touched base with us regularly. The community is well-appointed and the households are homelike and cozy. The food and entertainment was varied and perfect for the residents and their families. We considered ourselves fortunate to have been able to give our Dad the best setting for his remaining days. Thank you BBE Pembroke.

Placing my wife of 36 years in a memory care facility is probably the hardest thing I’ve had to do. The staff at Bridges by Epoch at Pembroke helped guide me every step of the way, lessening the stress and anxiety of placing Peggy dramatically. The warmth of the staff, along with their professionalism, goes a long way in reassuring me I have made the best decision possible. The commitment of caring for the residents, is nothing short of extraordinary, and requires a special type of person. All the staff I have come in contact with seem to have that ability. It’s hard enough witnessing the mental deterioration of a loved one, but it’s very comforting to know that they are safe, well cared for, and respected, despite their disease. I am grateful for everything you do. Sincerely, Dave N., husband of a resident.

Our family needed a safe landing for our most senior family member whose dementia and aphasia journey picked up speed upon the death of his wife, whom he cared for over the last 15 years. Our plan was to move him out of state to be near us in Maryland, as was his wish. But where does one find a temporary place for gramps while his house is being sold and new arrangements are being made 400 miles away? Bridges by Epoch came to the rescue. We had visited other dementia care homes but could not find the right fit”either there was no availability, or he was beyond level of care offered. Bridges, however, had respite care, which was the perfect temporary solution and permitted him to stay until his next home was ready to receive him. His corner room was beautiful and private; the staff, nurses, OTs, and PTs were attentive to the point of making him feel like he was their only client”yes, that good. Food was excellent. The Pembroke location is clean and inviting; the entertainment is carefully arranged to include as many residents as possible. The people working here treat each other well and their clients like family. I don’t know what we would have done without the incredible bridge they gave us while we transitioned Gramps from MA to MD. We credit his successful transition to the great care and attention he got in Pembroke. Look not further. This location is worth considering.

My mother in law was at Bridges Pembroke for almost a year before her passing, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. EVERY SINGLE staff member from front desk, to maintenance, to dining, to CNA and nursing staff, was top notch!! I am a nurse of over 20 years and have seen it all in different facilities and I can't believe the caliber of staff here and the way each and every one of them cares so deeply for the residents. On top of that, it's beautiful, clean, organized, welcoming, they do SO many activities and events for the residents (and the families too!). I only wish my mother in law had more time here. If I could leave six stars I would! I've been searching for a memory care setting for a loved one and Bonnie Durell, at Bridges by Epoch in Pembroke, MA has been amazing. Although Bridges at Epoch at this point, is not the best fit for my family member, Bonnie was nonetheless amazingly helpful and has put me in touch with folks at other supported living communities in the area. She spent over an hour speaking to me when I was connected with her via A Place for Mom. She answered all my questions, was never rude, didn't hard sell me at any point and I came away from the call feeling hopeful and not as overwhelmed. She's kind, funny, non-nnesense and has wealth of knowledge thanks to several years in the industry. I couldn't be happier!

My family and I were searching several different senior-citizen care homes for my grandmother. We were starting to lose hope as the rest of the facilities in the region were either incredibly expensive or were not very clean and "homey". Cleanliness, rights for the residents, and an overall "homey" feel were our upmost priority. We found this instantly when visiting the EPOCH at Pembroke. The staff was incredibly kind and caring and we love the overall setup of the buildings. My family and I attended one of the several activities going on throughout the day. It was incredibly engaging and my grandmother had a blast! I look forward to visiting her every chance that I get and would absolutely recommend this assisted living facility!

It has been almost one year since my dad moved into Bridges in Pembroke. To be honest I had always planned on taking care of my dad at home. I thought it would be hard, but I thought we could make it work between myself, my 2 sisters and private caregiversand for a while we did. It wasn’t until my dad needed continuous 24 hour supervision/care that we realized how difficult it would be to keep my dad at home safely. Things happen in life and a caregiver needs to cancel at the last minute or something comes up with one of your kids or work. It is then that you start to realize that even when you think you have a pretty organized care plan at home, it is not going to run smoothly all the timeand consistency is what my dad needed. Moving my dad out of his home that he had lived in for 50 years was the hardest decision my sisters and I had to make. It was a very emotional time and I kept asking myself, is this the right decision? Now almost a year later I can answer with complete certainty that yes, that was the right decision. I didn’t realize how much my dad’s old home environment was contributing to his confusion, anxiety and fall risk. Something as simple as knowing what day was trash pickup made my dad so worried that he was going to miss it. It would be the only thing he could talk about for hours, even though he had people there to help him. I could give a hundred examples like that but basically what I’m trying to say is sometimes changing the environment can make all the difference for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. My dad is doing so well now and it’s because he is in an environment that is just the right kind of stimulation for someone with Alzheimer’s disease. He still has his memory impairment, but he does not have all the worries anymore. It is so nice to visit my dad and see him happy and relaxed again. He’s doing so well because the staff there have made a tremendous effort to really get to know my dad, what his likes and dislikes are and they are taking such good care of him. I truly appreciate all the hard work that ALL the staff put into taking care of my dad and all the residents. I now feel so much more at ease knowing that my dad is in such good hands.
