Everything feels fresh, organized, and cared for, which immediately gives peace of mind. Liz was especially amazing to work with. What a wonderful facility everyone was so nice. The place was clean. The receptionist at the front desk was so sweet and kind. What an asset to your place being the first person you meet. I am so sorry I can’t remember her name but I assure you I will remember her kindness. My best friend is there and I am so relieved she is safe and well taken care of.

Coming to the realization I could no longer provide the proper care my loved one needed was the hardest decision of my life!!! I’m so glad we found Sierra Ridge. Newly remodeled and gorgeous inside, but that’s only the beginning. STAFF: The staff is amazing in how they treat and care for the residents. They smile and treat everyone with care and dignity. Following their advice helped make the transition for both my loved one and me as smooth as can be expected. My loved one has some special needs and the staff is always discreet in handling incidents when they happen. (Okay, as I’m writing this, a server in the dining room is greeting each resident with a pat, hand held, and telling them they are loved!!! ) FAMILY SUPPORT: If I have a question or need anything, I usually have two people who are on it right away. I love the front office and administration. Communication is prompt and thorough. FOOD: They serve three delicious and nutritious hot meals a day and three additional snacks. There is water and lemonade available at all times. SETUP: The facility is designed to calm the residents. Huge windows and skylights give tons of natural light and views of the landscaping and courtyard, and the layout is circular so no one feels closed in. When the weather is good they have full access to the courtyard. There are two beautiful living rooms for watching TV or family visits. They also have private activity rooms for family gatherings and parties. The bedrooms are large and kept clean. I recommend an odor-containing laundry hamper with a lid for those residents with incontinence issues. ACTIVITIES: The activities vary throughout the day, and cover several aspects. Music, exercise, live animals are some of what is offered. Puzzles and build kits such as Lego, magnetic triangles, and hardware puzzles are available for kinetic stimulation. Please take the time to tour this facility if you are looking for a safe and happy home for your loved one. I hope this helps give you peace of mind for your decision ahead. You are not alone!

My Mother has been here for 1 month now and we are extremely pleased. The facility is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, the food is excellent (yes I have eaten here) and the warm, loving care that Mom receives is heart warming. My mom needed extra care after falling twice at my home. The plan was to keep her with me for the rest of her life. But with her mild dementia and Parkinson, that was no longer a safe option here. Like so many people, I had to choose my mom's safety over my desire to have her stay with me. Her doctor, my family and friends agreed that mom needed more care than I could provide. She needed around the clock care. Finding the right home for mom was a major headache. I interviewed a few places and even used a service that places loved ones. But, I still felt as if I would have to contact every care home in a 30 mile radius. Some places were remote, too far towards Sacramento or had only a few clients. I wanted mom somewhere close by, that had more people, activities, a nice setting and most importantly, a nice staff. I made an appointment with Liz at Sierra Ridge. I told her what I was seeing at other places and what I needed for mom. Liz was upfront and helpful in answering all my questions. I met Joe the administrator and was impressed with his kindness and true desire to insure that all his clients are well taken care of. Mom has been at Sierra Ridge now about 6 months. I go by 2 to 3 times a week so have gotten to know most of the wonderful staff. Mom has had a few emergencies and I received a phone call on those occasions promptly. Even with small issues mom was having, they have kept me informed. I so appreciate the staff at Sierra Ridge. Mom is truly loved there, and I see the staff treat all the other clients the same. I have asked mom quite a few times how she is doing there, as have my siblings and other relatives. Mom says that everyone is so nice there and that she gets good care. My mom is high functioning and quite aware. My mom's happiness during her final years is what is important to me.

Sierra Ridge took wonderful care of my Dad. I researched and visited many facilities, and they were clearly the best. The staff are knowledgeable, ethical, and most important, they really care about their residents. They included our family in decisions, and provided my Dad the highest level of service. My Dad is living there now and he really likes it. They love and respect him and his needs. Joyce Perkins, the director is hands on and is always there to help and make everything run smoothly. From the first day we set foot inside Sierra Ridge Memory Care in Auburn, CA, we were made to feel welcome. Geno has been comfortable from his first day. He was actually dancing in the dining room before I left. Whenever he's experienced a difficulty we have all worked together as a caring team to resolve it.
