The minute we entered Legend Memory Care, we knew found THE PLACE for Mom. We were welcomed by the loving staff , and made the entire process easy and gave us peace of mind with the tough decisions we were having to make. The move in process was seamless. So much help from the maintenance staff to get Moms room set up to look like home. Hats off to the entire staff of Legend. Truly feels like family

I recently visited my sister in Newcastle, Ok. where her husband is in Memory Care at Rivendell, I was appalled at the condition my brother in law was in, he was dirty his bed was either soiled or no linens at all on it. The most staff I saw in the two weeks I was there was three. I never saw the director and not sure if he was around it would do any good. If you are thinking about putting your love one here, please reconsider.

My loving mother was a resident at Legends for 14 months, myself and my family are so grateful for the outstanding care and compassion she received. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and understanding of the residents and family needs during this difficult time. The facility was very clean and set up extremely well for residents and family visits with very comfortable and friendly common areas and courtyard. We moved my mom to Rivendell's Memory Care after 6.5 years in assisted living in another state. From day 1, we found the staff to be very caring, loving, patient and helpful. They are obviously experienced with dealing with memory issues. They took over the daily details so the family could just enjoy our time with mom. They didnt panic or over-react, kept us informed, offered practical & sincere solutions to any problems. They offered constant stimulating activities, good food, fun times. Our large family was accommodated when we had a 90th birthday party! I feel like the aides all became like family, especially to my mom.

We looked at several memory care facilities for my husband and Legends at Rivendell met all our expectations even though it's 30 min from us, and not as convenient as many others, we still chose it! Greg, Sarah, Rebecca & Q made the difficult transition easier for us! Twice they went to observe Larry at his other facility to make sure it was a good fit! All the staff takes such good care of him & go above & beyond because he is challenging!

I toured with my father and right away we could tell how much the staff is involved with and loves the residents. Sarah and Greg have found their calling. And the facility was very nice. Clean, well kept and many residents were out and about. A lot of activities to keep the residents stimulated and very age/developmentally appropriate for the aging adults. I would highly recommend Riven dell!

We experienced many of the issues cited in the negative reviews. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews; many of which I notice are written by employees or former employees. There are some amazing employees including Alex, the life enrichment coordinator. Activities provided by the Life Enrichment team make a huge difference for residents quality of life. However, employees are overworked and not supported by management. One of the biggest issues is Legend relies way too much on temporary employees with inadequate or no supervision, resulting in sleeping on the job, playing on their phones and socializing while neglecting residents. Calls and emails to the corporate office with issues were ignored. I offered COO Chris Mahen a list of issues and concerns for my mother's safety and well-being and he never responded. Pull cords did not work properly in the entire building. Handling of the Covid outbreak within the facility was between poor and nonexistent. I requested to be be released from the contract because of these issues and concern for my mother's safety, which was denied, requiring a payment of over $13,000 to leave. Legend is one of the most expensive Memory Care facilities in the area and at a time that many of their long time employees were quitting, leaving the facility short staffed, they raised the rent substantially two times in two months. Legend requires a 60 day payment to break the contract, whereas all other facilities it is 30 days. I would highly recommend you check out Harbor Chase Assisted Living and Memory Care. It is so incredibly nice, less expensive and they do not use temporary help. We couldn't be happier with them! I'd like to edit this review as I received a refund in late June for $13,262 for the 60 day vacate. I've heard Legend has a new director as well as other staff, and things are improving. I'm so glad to hear this!!!

Want all to know what a pleasant experience we are having at Legends Memory Care. The staff has been courteous, friendly, helpful, and full of wisdom in taking care of my one hundred-and one-year old aunt. My aunt has lived by herself most of her life (other than taking care of my grandmother and a few others). So usually it is her way or the highway. They have her smiling and laughing. She is more comfortable at Legends than in my own home. Yes, she still wants to make her great escape but she does that where ever she is. We no longer have to worry about her wandering off and are comforted shes taken care of by caring people. God bless all of them. Thankful that someone who has spent her life taking care of others is being taken care of so well. Special thanks to Shakera, Christine, and Riley. My aunt was not willing to come in and they made her feel wanted and comfortable coming to Legends. It was something to see them work. They were so caring. Much thanks to Bailee. My wife knew after talking to her the first time this was the place. She answered all my questions returning my calls until I was also comfortable wiith Legends. I highly recommend Legends. Thanks to Andre also for helping move my aunts belongings in.

In our time of need the sales director, Karrie Littrell was very professional and caring in assisting us with some decisions. She was able to answer all questions and actually provided us with more help than I would have expected. Legends is a wonder facility and incredibly more affordable than we imagined. This place is way beyond anyplace that I have seen providing an environment and care that I could not find elsewhere.
