From the moment we walked into Arden Courts, we knew this place was different. I originally had three additional tours scheduled that same day, but after meeting Memory Care Advocate Alexis, Nurse Jazmine, and Activity Director Julie, I canceled the rest and immediately asked to be placed on the waitlist for my mother. Alexis gave us one of the most educational, compassionate, and honest tours we have experienced throughout this entire process. Her knowledge of dementia, the progression of the disease, and how the environment truly impacts quality of life was incredible. She answered every question with patience and confidence and made us feel supported instead of pressured. You can tell this is not just a job to her ” she genuinely cares about families navigating one of the hardest decisions of their lives. Jazmine was equally impressive. Her warmth, professionalism, and clinical knowledge gave us immediate peace of mind. Julie’s energy and passion for engagement and activities were amazing to see ” the residents were active, smiling, and truly involved Julie even said with a twinkle in her eye I just love my job and I believe her wholeheartedly. What stood out most was the continued support even after the tour. Alexis has consistently kept me updated regarding the waitlist status, checked in on our family, and even stopped by our home with flowers and The Itty Bitty Dementia Book, which meant more to us than she probably realizes. That level of compassion is rare. To make things even more reassuring, four of my close friends already have a parent or aunt living there, and every single one of them speaks so highly of the care and support their loved ones receive. We truly cannot wait for my mother to become part of the Arden Courts family. We were in a tough spot with one of our parents recently and Alexis and staff over at Arden Courts have helped us tremendously. Alexis was always available during the move in process and then throughout our father’s stay. All of our questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner and thanks to the staff we have seen a complete turn around for our father. The services offered at Arden from the PT to nursing staff have allowed our father to start moving around better and regain some of his independence. Alexis has made us feel heard at every turn and the staff has been friendly and helpful with every visit.

My father has been a resident at Arden Courts (King of Prussia) since December 2024. We found Arden Courts after needing to unexpectedly relocate from a different memory facility (one where memory care is a restricted floor within a larger senior care facility). Arden Courts’ slogan is more than correct “ Memory Care: it’s all they do. For those familiar with the different levels of senior care/types of care facilities, you will immediately notice the difference in a place like Arden Courts, where individuals of varying abilities all live together. Residents move freely and safely around the facility without restriction. This approach fosters dignity and independence for those experiencing the trauma of memory loss. If a resident needs help with navigation, they are politely escorted back to their room/house by staff. You will hear staff speaking kindly to residents and never challenging their interpretation of reality. This approach was refreshing after having my dad a part of other facilities with differing care styles. To say dementia is difficult on family members would be an understatement. No one is ever prepared for the types of decisions you will need to make for a loved one with memory impairment. When first introduced to Arden Courts, I was met by Alexis (Memory Care Advisor/ Senior Sales and Marketing Director). As the other reviewers have noted, Alexis makes you immediately feel comfortable navigating the unknowns of a new placement. Move-in was a breeze with her at the helm. Alexis even went the extra mile when my father was briefly hospitalized last summer by stopping by to say hello’. This certainly boosted my dad’s spirits and definitely warmed my heart. The activities staff, especially Shannon and Lily, always go above and beyond to make sure residents are engaged and entertained. Friday’s live music concerts are a favorite among residents and guests. The amount of opportunities for engagement is a tremendous improvement for my dad who had previously only been able to access group activities via an aide signing him out of memory care to access the building-wide activities (at his last facility). We have gotten to know many dedicated staff over the last year-plus at Arden Courts. Some of the standouts include nurse Michelle who truly always exceeds expectations, listening to you and prioritizing your loved ones needs no matter what else she’s responsible for at the time. We are very glad to have Director of Nursing, Courtney, back. Courtney makes sure any concerns are addressed, is never dismissive of questions, and always calls families back no matter the time of day. During recent snowstorms, Courtney even arranged for willing staff to sleep over to care for residents. This gave us great piece of mind to know that our loved ones were cared for when we couldn’t safely get to see them. We are very fortunate to have devoted care staff including the awesome Plum team members: Chris, Latifia, Sabrina, Erica, and Bella. These team members are like family to us and as someone who works in a congregate care setting, I know how hard it can be to always have a smile on your face (and these 5 do!) While there are certainly times when I have questions or concerns or wish something was going differently for dad, Arden Courts is the right place at the right time for our family for all of the reasons stated above. As someone who visits my loved one very frequently, I can attest that Arden Courts’ (King of Prussia) staff have open hearts for this unique community. If you’re looking for the right place for your loved one with dementia, Arden Courts might be that place.

Placing my mother in memory care was very challenging due to behavioral complications associated with her dementia, especially during transitions. Several facilities were unable to meet her needs. A senior living specialist recommended Arden Courts of King of Prussia, sharing that they had experienced success there with similar situations. I was skeptical at first, but after speaking with Alexis, I immediately knew she truly understood my mother’s behaviors and had the experience and compassion to handle them appropriately. In less than a week, the team accomplished what we had not been able to do in months ” they helped my mother bathe and even washed and styled her hair. They thoughtfully shared photos of her with a genuine smile, which meant more to me than I can express. They also arranged FaceTime sessions so I could speak with her directly, helping me feel connected and reassured. I am deeply grateful to Alexis and the entire team for providing such a safe, structured, and warm environment for my mother. Their professionalism, patience, and kindness have made an incredibly difficult transition so much easier for our family.

Arden Courts saved my Dad! We had 2 horrible experiences at previous LTC facilities. The last facility gave us 30 days to find my Dad a new home, during the holiday season. We were devastated and had no where to turn, until I found Alexis. She is a godsend. She fought for my dad to come to Arden Courts. Alexis helped me with every step to get him there. A very stressful experience was made doable by Alexis and the staff of Arden Courts. Within being there 2 days, you could see a huge change in my Dad. Our Christmas visit was full of conversation, laughter, and joy. Something we hadn’t seen in my Dad in quite a while. He is flourishing at Arden Courts, my only regret is not putting him there first.

Alexis has been my life preserver in this journey of dementia. The physical layout of Arden is unique with access to outdoors and a community center that fosters cognitive and physical stimulation. My husband’s medical challenges have been quickly addressed and OT and PT have greatly improved his mobility. After three stints in the hospital/rehab in less than a year they promptly have gotten treatment when needed. The aides keep him groomed, fed, clean and nicely dressed and several go above my expectations showing a true dedication. There is nothing easy about placing a loved one in memory care. That being said, we have had an excellent experience with Arden Courts in King of Prussia. We needed to place our father there in an emergency sort of situation. Alexis Ferrara was instrumental in making that happen. Since our father has been there, Alexis has shown nothing but compassion for our family and our father. It is very heartwarming to see the relationship that she has not only with our father, but with many of the residents. Even though Alexis fulfills an administrative role, she goes out of her way to assist families whenever there are day-to-day type needs and questions. This is the third memory care facility we have had our father in. The level of compassion, understanding, and care not only from Alexis, but the entire staff, surpass our previous experiences. Choosing a facility for my Father was not easy, being a nurse myself I wanted the best for him, the best a facility could offer. Traveling from out of state weekly to assess different facilities while my father was hospitalized I came across Arden Courts facilities and the concept they have constructed to implement within all of their homes for the dementia patient. Arden Courts - Valley Forge is a Dementia facility geared 100% toward a resident with dementia. They know the needs of the dementia patient being that of safety, social and physiological needs. The staff of Arden Courts -Valley Forge came to know my father and our family as family as we did them as well. The care and knowledge that the staff of Arden Courts- Valley Forge showed to my father reflected in the peace I witnessed come over him in the time he spent within this facility. The trust I seen him gain with the staff of this facility was the most comfort I seen him have throughout this transition. I was called with any and all changes and or needs of my father. Any question or want I had for my father was addressed promptly by Alexis (Executive Director) in a timely manner with constant updates of the progression of my requests. The staff of Arden Courts - Valley Forge showed my father respect, kindness and support during his stay there. They learned about what made him feel safe and happy quickly allowing him to feel like Arden Courts - Valley Forge was home to him. Although I am a nurse, this was the first time I had to go through such a process as a daughter, a child. The feelings and emotions that come with having to go through such a process are difficult in so many ways, but it was the staff of Arden Courts -Valley Forge that had me recognize I was on autopilot as a daughter and nurse and they reminded me that I could now be my fathers daughter alone, they will do the nursing. With this I was able to share rich quality time with my father and that through his words and actions when I was with him was so very obvious that he was also experienced this joy of safety and love within this environment as well. My Father did pass away recently comfortably and peacefully, he was surrounded by family and love. I cannot describe the Gratefulness I have for Arden Courts - Valley Forge, for Alexis and the Caring Staff within the facility. If not for them my father would not have experienced the peace and psychological growth that I seen him experience and I know he recognized as well throughout his final days. Arden courts in King of Prussia is always top of my list to refer my patients to. It was in the last year that Arden Courts wasn’t just a place to refer but a home for my father in law who transferred here from an assisted living facility in limerick where they couldn’t handle him. Arden courts is exceptional! My father in law did very well there. They are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Special thanks to his favorite blonde, Alexis Ferrara who went above and beyond as she so consistently does for my patients families and now my own family Alexis or as dad called her Lexi was an absolute legend and an true pioneer for families and our community that is affected by this devastating disease as well as his favorite activity girls, Julie, Shannon and Lilly who met him where he was in the disease and provided him peace. He has since passed but we were fortunate he was with the Arden family and I now can share my own personal experiences and journey with this team!

I toured and chose Arden Courts for my family member a few months ago with Ms Alexis Ferrara and was truly impressed and very pleased with her. Alexis came highly recommended by PennMemory & Bryn Mawr Hospital as someone I must talk to when it comes to additional support and placement in a memory care facility. I’m beyond grateful that I was guided her way! Alexis even put me and my children through a virtual dementia training to help us better understand how to cope and have more meaningful visits. Alexis is an example of dedication and commitment. The staff at Arden stood out immediately, warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they take pride in caring for residents and that energy shows with their interactions. The Nurse, Lakeesha took the time to answer medical questions I had and was patient, supportive and helpful. Lakeesha always keeps me informed and is very responsive to me and my other family members who visit. In addition, during my tour, Buffi was observed interacting with residents bringing a smile to their faces when she broke out in song which was quite impressive. To date Buffi is a great resource and she is all business, that is, when she is not singing. You have a tough job and just know you are appreciated beyond measure. The design of the building is another highlight. Every detail is carefully thought out to create a welcoming, comfortable, and functional space, especially the outside space where the kids can be outside running around during visits. The layout flows easily with open common areas that we use when visiting inside. The activities girls, Jule and Shannon were and ARE incredibly involved with the residents and you can clearly tell that they love their jobs and being amongst the residents! We always say to this day what angels Jule and Shannon are, they are two very special people with the ability to make the most of each residents day with a very engaging and thoughtful schedule of activities. Also great examples of dedication and commitment I hope you know that not many can do what you do and I commend you for your hard work. The location is convenient without being crowded, striking a nice balance of accessibility and peace. Arden is our 2nd home and we are proud to share our experience and feedback.

I was looking for a facility for my family member. I contacted Arden Courts based on an insurance referral. I decided to do some research and was floored at what I heard and witnessed. The place is filthy and the reports from staff and former residents were atrocious. They spoke of residents being left in filth for hours while staff were socializing. Residents reported bed sores and rashes that required immediate medical attention. Another report was from family of a resident overhearing the administrative staff talking poorly of their loved one and how they basically tell the families what they want to hear with no intention of following through with the request. They noted they do so just to please because they know they are wealthy and need the "patient" for revenue. We all know this is true because yes it is a business but why speak so openly when family are near? I happen to be visiting with a friend since I didn't want a "show" if I asked for a tour. The room was filthy with my friend's poor mother sitting with matted greasy hair and strong smell of urine. While I understand this is possible, the smell was so strong and evident that she wasn't clean. These are human beings. It is hard enough to have to accept that home care isn't possible, to see these conditions makes the thought unbearable. My search continues but this is one place that is not on my list.

I don’t write this review lightly. Hands down the hardest, but best choice our family has ever made. Choosing Arden has been a life changing choice for our mother who has dementia. They’ve reversed time by years. Before going, our mother couldn’t string a couple sentences together and now it’s like we are talking to our mother from 5 years ago. My mom now even says it’s her choice to stay because of how well they take care of her. The staff are all amazing. This also comes after spending 4 months at another facility that was more economical, but it was a facility that you’re basically just waiting for the end. My dad deteriorated very rapidly after his dementia diagnosis and the challenges surrounding his care became even steeper with the bipolar episodes he struggled with throughout his life. I felt that I'd found him the perfect home many times, only to have him evicted when the communities found him too hard to care for (despite what I believe was full transparency about his behaviors). Arden Court KOP was an emergency placement after his last eviction and I wasn't sure how I would feel about them at first. The price felt high and because things had to happen so quickly, I didn't have time to weigh other options. My dad is thriving there and can't tell me enough how kind the staff is to him. He tells me that he gets special treatment (a classic "my dad" assumption!). Alexis and Nicole knew how intimidated I was with our financials and they went to lengths I couldn't have dreamed of to make it work for us as long as possible. It was abundantly clear that their interests were about his health and not about the 'business' that private pay elderly care can unfortunately feel leaned to. Thanks to Alexis and Nicole, I can sleep well knowing my dad is safe and truly cared about. She often jokes with visitors and you can just tell her joke was what that person needed in that moment before visiting. Mary is a breath of fresh air and a phenomenal first impression. The building is clean, bright and cheerful, and well maintained. The rooms are nicely sized and just right for the population served to encourage them to be out and about, engaging and not isolating. There is a notable variety of programs and activities that Julie and her team provide to keep the residents engaged and to maximize their well being. Community partners/services, like ours (Humanitas Hospice) are welcomed to make it accommodating for not only the residents, but also families. Best of all, the staff is very sensitive and responsive to the needs and requests of the residents and their family members. One can tell they "aim to please" and are willing to cheerfully go the extra mile. It is extraordinary that even after years of service we have provided here, we find this facility playing at the very top of its game!

My partner was diagnosed with Alzheimer's about 4 years ago; she had progressed making it next to impossible to care for her successfully at home. About 2 years ago we moved back to Montgomery County and I tried to get her into a personal care home, but she was completely resistant. I maintained keeping her home to the best of my ability all the while reaching out to places like Penn Memory, Adult protective services, the ombudsman and our PCP to get their feedback on recommendations on a memory care In an attempt to be proactive when the time for placement arrives. During these efforts, i was unanimously encouraged to connect specifically with the tenured team at Arden Courts in King of Prussia Pennsylvania I worked closely with Nicole, Alexis, Dannita, Buffy and the families the girls provided as a part of their family advocacy program. I found them to be extremely responsive, with comprehensive knowledge and experience in dementia matters. It was the fact that the team at this facility were so patient with me as I continued to reach out to them for guidance over a span of 8 months while attempting to do this solo that I realized this is home, this is where I want my partner because they never turned me away or hesitated to assist when I reached out, even though I was dragging this process out. About 5 months ago, she had become less resistant, I was able to get her enrolled in Arden Courts, the team there offered a trial stay explaining how they wanted me to determine during this time if this was the place for her, this was genius. My partner is beyond that trial stay and is doing phenomenal, so much more relaxed and amiable. I do not know how we OR anyone for that matter would cope with this situation without them. I would like to thank Nicole, Alexis, Dannita, Maurizio, Julie, Buffy and Christopher for the phenomenal work they do consistently for families and people living with dementia.

As a hospital social worker, I have had the pleasure of working with the amazing team at Arden Courts in King of Prussia for quite some time! I appreciate the quick responsiveness, and availability when I reach out to them with families in need of placement for a patient in memory care! WOW! Just wow! Arden Courts deserves a 10 star review! My dad’s previous facility was extremely detrimental to his health and he needed to be relocated quickly. The day after reaching out to Arden, a room was ready for him. Alexis and Nicole promptly got the process started, stayed in constant communication, and provided all necessary paperwork. Arden’s care and compassion for my dad has been absolutely incredible. In just a few days, he has transformed from being fragile and sickly, unable to walk and communicate, to moving around independently, eating on his own, and participating in group activities. The improvement in his attitude and overall well-being is remarkable. The staff at Arden is truly special. Their devotion to each person is unmatched. My dad’s dementia is progressing quickly and their ability to provide such individualized help is more than I could ask for. There are no words to express the relief that my family feels knowing my dad is in their care. I don’t know if he would be here today had it not been for the attention they gave us right away. Thank you Alexis, Nicole, and all staff members at Arden Courts. I hope my review provides a small glimpse into my appreciation!

I reached out to Alexis to see if there was still a spot for my mom at Arden during a time of great stress and anxiety. Mom was at Arden, then we tried to take care of her at home, but that was not sustainable. Another facility would not take my mom but when I spoke with Alexis, she welcomed her and us back with open arms. Together with Executive Director Nicole and Nurse Dannita, they transferred my mom back to Arden where she is now stabilizing and receiving the appropriate level of care for her. Thank you so much to the entire Team at Arden for not giving up on mom or us.

When we had to move my mom, who has dementia and can be a handful, with almost no notice, from her previous facility to Arden Courts, Alexis at Arden was amazing and made a difficult process pretty easy. My mom can be a handful, but the people at Arden Courts are patient and caring for her needs. We are happy things worked out the way they did because we feel mom is in a better place being at Arden Courts.
