The overall experience was very positive. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the environment was comfortable throughout my visit. The building itself is well kept and pleasant, there’s an inviting feeling when you walk in the door. Staffed seemed organized and helpful. Solid experience overall.

I lived at Overland Park Place 2016-2021 and looking back I know now what a mistake I made by moving. Loved it there, every one of my needs were met. I wanted to move back in, but could not afford the rent. I am now living at Holiday Greenwood Terrace in Lenexa and still hoping to move back to OPP, however, with the cost of living seems to be going up non stop It will stand in my way of living at OPP again. When I lived there before I was lucky enough to rent an apartment on the lower level which I would like to live there again if an apartment was available. I am in my nineties now and plan to stay put for the rest of my days. My making comparisons between here HGT and OPP is not appreciated to say the least. Thanks for taking my comments. Marie Palm

Overland Park Place offers everything my husband and I were looking for. When we first drove up and walked in, I felt like we were home. The amenities we were looking for are here. From three meals a day, to trips to local merchants, transportation to our doctors, it's all here Another plus are the activities. However you like to use your time from working on a puzzle to going to a park, being in a group at an ice cream social to working out in an exercise group, it's here. We found a new home. Come see what you think.

Nice place to live. My housekeeper doesn't clean very well I have to tell her each thing to clean. The staff calls everyone by name. Good food and good celebrations. Fun activities and residents have input about outings. Games, food, and music. I recommend this facility for a place to live.

The residents are VERY welcoming!! They all came up to me and introduced themselves! I was sooo touched, i almost started crying! I'm used to helping/care-taking others, this time I'M being helped!! It took me a while to accept that. My sister had come in from Oregon to help me. I had had a mild stroke. I couldn't go back to my house. I had lived there by myself with a cat!(I was able to bring my cat WITH me! A person or two have dogs, but, mind you, they aren't large dogs.) My sister looked at 3-4 different places. She was impressed with how down-to-earth everyone/residents /staff were here! Other places, the residents wouldn't visit with my sister...nobody came up to greet her. EVERYONE here comes up to greet you! There are a LOT of activities you can do. It's a GREAT way to get to know other residents! Lots of laughter & seriousness. If they don't have an activity you want, you can request that they add an idea to the calendar. The food is ALWAYS delicious! I'm impressed with the chef! They are so mindful of the different residents' dietary needs. I moved in this past June...I've never known one bad meal! If you don't like what they are serving, you can see the alternate menu. It's great! Now, OPP has an advantage. There is a HUGE skylight in the ceiling in the main living room. This allows for a LOT of sun to come in! An Atrium. Also, in the living room, its round and open with two couches and arm chairs. They are in two groups. People like to "hang out" together...they don't necessarily talk or visit, but they feel COMFORTABLE with each other just to sit together and listen to music from the Alexa. They always welcome others to join them. People up on the third floor can "talk"/wave/whatever to a person on the first floor! Also, on each floor, there are areas to visit/play games/do a puzzle/eat a meal/whatever. I LOVE the building's layout! You know, i probably didnt explain it to you very well...COME AND VISIT!! You will be glad you did!

I wanted to share that my mother had been at Overland Park Place only a few months when we received a normal than heavy rainfall. Her unit flooded. Amber at Overland Park Place moved my mom to a different unit, cleaned her unit up and most importantly had the outside landscaping redone so that this issue never happened again. Thanks Overland Park Place for taking get care of my mother and the rest of the residents. The staff truly cares about their residents.

It seems like they are always have some sort of entertainment or doing an activity when I'm there. If you're trying to stay active and engaged and INDEPENDENT, then they are definitely the community for you!

My mother has been there coming up on 10 years. The kitchen help, housecleaning and driver ,Juan is very good at their assigned duties. Madeline and Jim the two main leaders are extremely knowledgeable and proficient in the operations of how a home should be ran. During the pandemic they handled the crisis effectively and not one single case or death resulted in anyone living there became hospitalized from the contraction of the covid virus. Overall she's been happy her 10 years so far they do a great job for everyone's benefit.Activities are back to normal they keep the residents entertained,parties for special occasions things like that to i keep our parents moving. The activities director does a great job too

My mother Regina Caldwell has lived there coming up on ten years.I will testify to the excellent way that assisted living facility has been ran. The food is on par where it should be I've tried it before and my mother likes it overall. The staff Madeline and Jim they are the two head honchos,they are on point and very efficient and knowledgeable in what they set out to accomplish. The housekeeping is great,there is great transportation provided and never seems to be any conflict in getting out parents to much needed doctors appointments. The driver is caring and my mother brags about him all.day long,lol.. Yes its definitely in your best interest to look into Overland Park Place.

Overland Park Place is an excellent choice for senior citizens who don't want the responsibility of a home, but are looking for an active, independent lifestyle. Many of the staff have been at OPP for years and are very friendly and kind and try to accommodate the needs of each individual resident. They recently remodeled all of the common areas and hallways giving the facility a fresh, updated look. A variety of social, educational and religious activities are offered and small pets are welcome. When the weather is nice, residents can often be see out on the back patio visiting or just enjoying the outdoors.

My wife's sister moved into Overland Park Place in February. The wonderful staff made the process so easy. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The many and varied activities kept my sister-in-law happy and busy all day. More recently, we are reassured that my sister-in-law, along with the other residents, are being kept safe and all guidelines and precautions are followed. We are so happy we chose Overland Park Place.

My mother entered the facility but quickly had to leave for rehab. I am very happy, however with the warm and supportive staff, the services, the cleanliness and detail of the building, the ample size of the units, and the quality of the food. They are taking extreme care to keep Covid-19 out of the community and are so far, successful. My mom will be returning in a week or so and we are very pleased. The availability of Interim Health Services on the premises is another strong plus for us. Any needs mom has, short of full assisted living, can be met through this provider.

During very difficult times, Overland Park Place is working hard to keep residents safe. Hot meals are delivered to apartments on a daily basis. Residents are offered opportunities to use technology to interact with loved ones. This is a difficult time but I feel comfortable that my Mom is safe.

I visited Park Place looking for a home for my Mom. The staff was wonderful and I really liked the space, price and the community. The only reason we did not choose Park Place was it was so far for me to travel to see my Mom. Choose a location closer to where I live and work, but wished Park Place was in Olathe.

My mother lived at OP Place until her passing just recently. The facility and the staff are top notch. We looked at many similar places in the KC area and this was absolutely the best for the money. My mom really liked her apartment, the activities, the meals and the camaraderie. At the end when it was unfortunately time to close her account and move her things out, the directors and staff were very accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend touring this if you are looking to place your parent.

I recently moved my father into this facility and we couldn't be happier. It has been very difficult for him to leave his home. To me the big win is he says that he misses home, but he is happy in his new home and feels safe. He loves the food and the activities. The staff has been so warm and welcoming. They really have bent over backwards to help with this transition. He tried the place out first by a 2 week "staycation", where they supplied everything for him including a toothbrush. All he had to do was bring some clothes and move in. It was a great way for him to see what it would be like to live there and I believe without that , he would never have agreed to move in. I highly recommend this place.

The staff at Overland Park Place were extremely helpful in counseling our family with the transition of my parents into Independent Living. All residents were gracious and friendly. I am sure a reflection of the care they receive. I only wish that I could move there myself!
