My mother's room is perfect for her needs and the food is always filling.

We were given a tour. I loved the "turrets" with balconies wide enough to place a chair & read. After our tour we were given a box of cookies baked in the kitchen. The residents were very friendly as was the director who gave us the tour. I fell in love with the studio which had two rooms & a bath.

Mallard Point is the best kept secret for independent senior living in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area. While touring the retirement community with our loved one, she immediately said Mallard Point was the place for her. It was a great sense of relief for her and our family knowing she is in a safe, secure environment surrounded by friendly, kind, and compassionate retirees. The entire Mallard Point team consisting of administration, recreation, maintenance, transportation, food service, and housekeeping has been personal, professional, and top-notch. Knowing our loved one has three balanced meals daily, scheduled recreational activities, weekly housekeeping services, and transportation for shopping and appointments has left her happy and pleased with her decision about moving to Mallard Point. Being matched with an ambassador (aka welcoming committee) put her mind at ease since she was the new kid on the block. Ambassadors took her under their wing the first few weeks with respect and graciousness. The monthly price is affordable as she only pays for internet service and cell phone. Having lived in the Cedar Falls-Waterloo area for almost 45 years, we are content knowing our loved one is in great hands at Mallard Point an amazing retirement community tucked away on a well maintained campus in a residential neighborhood.

Having lived at Mallard Point for 3 years I would highly recommend it to anyone. Our family has stayed in the guest room for several days and they truly enjoyed the food, staff and room.

Nice but horribly expensive. But comparable to other assisted senior living which is all insanely priced. I heard a comedian say the other day that senior care for lower and middle class seniors in America is death. He's not far from wrong!

Since covid-19 the food size for each resident has decreased, too much turn over in staff. I sure hope they address the issues residents are complaining about.

Absolutely gorgeous if you go during the right time of day and if the temperature is right cause let me tell you what I hate bugs any kind of bug they are creepy crawling disgusting scary things lol..... If your timing is bad than this place will definitely be swarming with lots and lots of bugs but what can i expect its part of nature. I am just allergic of almost everything lol.

One of my good older friends lives here. They are very happy with the rooms, staff, and meal service. It feels clean, welcoming and friendly. Smells nice! Every time Ive visited it has been a positive experience!

As a guest, I was offered lunch and experienced a very good meal. Servers were attentive, cheerfull and efficient. Hallways look clean and quiet. I would move here if I needed their help.
