We moved my mom into Oakmont nearly a week ago and the place is very nice. She has a nice room. She has enjoyed the meals here. It is a friendly environment with all the amenities that she needs, such as the salon, church, physical therapy room, etc… so far, we are very pleased with the services.

Visiting my wife with our granddaughter, while sitting on the porch we observed the friendly interaction of staff members with residents. At different times Morgan the activity director and Kurt the maintenance director were both talking with and answering resident questions, suggestions, or concerns. I am very impressed with the staff of Oakmont Northville.

The Oakmont Northville staff really cares about their residents and treat them like family. They make sure that all their needs are met. Meals are provided 3 times a day and there are laundry and cleaning services onsite. Private duty services are available 24/7. There are many fun activities offered for the residents and also many fun field trips out in the community. The therapy provider onsite is top notch. Therapists have the flexibility to treat the residents in their apartment or in the clinic space provided right inside the facility. I highly recommend this independent living community.

My mom has lived at Oakmont for approximately 7 years. The building inside is beautiful, and it always smells so clean. The outside has received awards for its landscaping. The housekeeping and dining room employees are exceptionally kind. It's such a relief to me that mom has her laundry done and her apartment cleaned on a regular basis. If I can't take her to an appointment, they have a driver that can assist. The entertainment and activities offered are above par. When mom was in the hospital, Oakmont even called to see how she was doing. I am so grateful that she has a safe, kind, beautiful atmosphere in which to live.

My mom & dad moved to Oakmont Northville almost 10 years ago. After my dad passed away, my mom moved to a one bedroom down the hall. Oakmont is a wonderful place! It is clean, furnished beautifully and always smells fresh. When my mom first moved there, she said it was like living in a fancy hotel- "they clean your rooms, do your laundry and have delicious meals in the dining room." Oakmont's staff is warm and friendly, they treat the residents as family. Many of the staff have worked there a long time (which speaks volumes). They go out of their way to treat my mom with kindness and love. They respect her as an individual with a wealth of life experiences. There are plenty of activities for the residents and many groups come in to do flower arrangements, play Bunco, and bring service dogs to visit to just name a few. Weekly menus and activities are printed out and special outings happen frequently whether to the Dollar Store, out for ice cream or Kensington Park for a cruise around the lake. There is something for everyone. They have a Beauty Parlor, a house doctor that comes once a week and PT services on site. A shuttle is available when needed for outside trips. Oakmont plans events to include families, whether celebrating Mother's Day, Father's Day or an outdoor picnic with a petting zoo and horse rides. There is great communication with families and during the Covid Pandemic, Oakmont worked hard to keep the residents safe & healthy. I totally recommend Northville Oakmont and know that my mom is treated kindly, with respect and love.

I toured this place recently with my dad. Pros: Very clean, quiet location, great reception, active social calendar, good amenities. Units are more spacious than elsewhere. They serve three meals a day. Regular housekeeping. Cons: no stoves in the kitchenettes. Distances to stores are a bit longer than other places we toured. Other: this is senior living, not a nursing home. There is an in-house (contracted) medical service that is pay as you go. I liked that they are there 24/7. Some seniors use this service regularly as their needs increase, and retain independent living.

My Mother resided at Oakmont Northville for a year before she passed. It was a good place for her to live as her apartment was cleaned, laundry done and meals provided. She participated in the activities and made friends among the residents. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The Executive Director, Madeline, and the Assistant Director, George, were great and obviously cared about the well being of the residents. I highly recommend Oakmont Northville.

My mother lived at Oakmont for over eleven years. A month ago she was admitted to the hospital and returned to Oakmont Northville needing Hospice care, only to pass away several days ago. Many of the staff in the kitchen and housekeeping were amazing with my mom, visiting her after their work hours to see her and offer their support. Yet in that month period of time, I never heard from the Director, Madeline or the Associate Director, George offering sympathies or asking if there was anything they could do to assist my family or my mother. Spending a good deal of time at Oakmont Northville recently, I saw George on many occasions taking prospective new residents and their families on tour. In my opinion their sincerity is suspect. That is my perspective as a family member. I gave a three rating because of the many dedicated staff. I would have rated administration as a one for their callous insensitivity.

They don’t follow protocol with Covid also not happy with George very vague when ask a question also is willing to charge someone a 3,000.00 for a building key which she never had but after passing away now wants to know where it is but not when she was a live why would she have a building key ? Very unprofessional

Each time I visit, the staff are professional and friendly to me as a visitor and especially to the residents. The facility itself is clean and aesthetically pleasant all around! An excellent location for seniors to live in a caring environment, with fun activities and security for peace of mind for them and family.

Super unhappy they use Balanced Home Care for services. Even the manager agreed they are terrible, blaming the use of BH on "Corporate". We moved my father for his safety. The place is pretty, but if your relative needs any services be cautious. Suggest anyone living in this type of place have a camera so you can see how they are treated when you are not around. It' sad.

My parents reside here and did not like the quality of the food or menu selections. I am happy to share that I have witnessed first hand an improvement in the quality of food and the menu overall. I am so glad that our family chose Oakmont for our mother to stay. She is always happy when I come to visit her every week. The meals are good, common areas attractive and homey and she has developed many friends.One of the things she most enjoys are the many different choices offered by activity director Julia.

What a relief for my brother and I to know that mom is in a lovely location. The staff is so friendly and caring. We worried about her living alone. Oakmont has been such a wonderful answer to our worries. The wonderful food and activities are icing on the cake.

So far so good. My grandparents have been here for 6 months and they are being treated very well. They dont utilize any of the programs offered because they are mostly home bound but the place is beautiful. My children love coming to visit, staff is kind and they do a great job. My grandparents are very happy here.

My mother has been living at Oakmont for 3+ years. The staff is very caring and loving. The facility is clean and well furnished. Food is great. There are plenty of activities and medical services. People are friendly.My wife searched throughout our area and Oakmont stood out and really met our needs.Last November we celebrated my mothers 100th birthday.

After visits to many facilities in the area, I chose Oakmont-Northville. Marie, the awesome Activities Director keeps my 90 year old mom, motivated and busy. Everyone is super friendly.....including the receptionists, housekeepers, food service staff, Leah in transportation, Pat the building Engineer, and each and every person I have had the pleasure to meet. Carol and Debbie in the Hair Salon are wonderful. The girls in Balanced Home Care are very caring and gentle with my mom. The Director and Assistant Director are eager to help in any way they can to make living at Oakmont a positive and comfortable experience. I feel like I made the right choice!!
