I've been going to Summit Glen since at least 2010 to play the piano and sing Hymns of Faith with the residents that many of them learned in their childhood. Since I've played at over 40 homes between Colorado Springs and Denver, I've been hesitant to recommend homes to people because staff changes, etc. can change from good to bad. Summit Glen's quality and service has remained consistantly high. From where I sit at the piano, I have a view of everything that goes on from interaction between staff and residents, warm relationships built among residents, and joy of living and being there. It's always special for me whenever I go to Summit Glen.

Hi everyone, We moved into Summit Glen in June 24, everybody is pleasant & fun to interact with. Crystal, Nick, & Tara made us feel at home. They have many different activity's to do right here, every Wed. We go on a outing ie: fishing, Picnic at a local park, Cripple Creek casinos etc... What we have experienced at mealtimes we sometimes share a table with 2 other people. We had a talent show and one of the activitys was to write something to recite. So here it is: Supper's Company, suppers dance A table set, a candle's glow, A feast awaites, a gentle flow. Companions gather, faces bright, Shared repast, a warm delight, A lover's gaze, a tender touch, A whispered word, a silent clutch. A family's laughter, children's glee, A bond of love, wild and free. A friends embrace, a knowing smile, A shared secret, a heartfelt while. A stranger's kindness, a chance encounter, A fleeting moment , a precious encounter. Alone, perhaps, a quiet meal, A book for company, a soul to heal. In solituder's embrace, a peaceful sight, A supper shared with the fading light. As a vendor providing musical entertainment since 2008, we love coming to Summit Glen for performances. The management team, and staff, led by Chrystal and Nicholas, are very welcoming and supportive to the needs of the residents. We have made wonderful friendships with so many of the people who live at Summit Glen, and have even seen the mother of one of our musicians move to Summit Glen where she is very happy. The general open areas are always clean and comfortable to be in. If you are looking for a senior residence to live at I definitely would recommend Summit Glen.

It's a feeling of community, not just a place to live. They always have activities to keep residents busy .They have seasonal activities often. Plenty of outings for the residents. In house church services. Nick and Krystal have helped us with several things that were well beyond there normal duties. I would recommend Summit Glen to anybody.

I am a nurse and was visiting a pt at this facility when I dropped my wallet outside by my car. When I got home and realized it was gone my husband drove me over and I was hoping someone honest would pick it up and return it to the office for me. Sure enough an honest person did just that and the management team held it for me. Nothing was missing and I had over a hundred dollars in there with my photo id and credit cards. Thanks for being honest and kind. Great place!!!

I have been in this community for 6 months. I have experienced two other 55 communities. This by far is the best one of them all. The managers that reside on site work very hard. The staff is very friendly and professional. The tenants all care for each other. I would highly recommend this place. The food is pretty good. No dishes to wash. Plenty of activities to keep you busy. Come down and check it out for yourself.

I took a tour of this location today, met the management, visited with the staff and tenants, and this is the place to go. Honestly, if you want management with pride and integrity, this is your only stop. I have toured dozens of retirement homes and assisted living. None of them were this clean and prepared for guests. No one knew I was coming today and immediately was offered a tour of a beautiful, homey location. Crystal walked me through the process and made it easy to understand, Nicholas informed me of some of the great services provided and the outstanding service they provide.

The team is so amazing! From day one when we were invited in to tour the facility, moving parents into the community and each day since. Everyone has assisted, welcomed, and accepted with large open hearts our parents. This has been difficult for my parents to transition but Nicholas, his wife, Bernice, the young lady that ALWAYS remembers what dad needs and likes at meals, and everyone else I am embarrassed I forgot the names. Even all the residents in the community are so welcoming and graceful with my folks as they continue to adjust to the change of lifestyle. I would want to move in. I tell everyone it's like a cruise on land but with every person feeling like friends. Meals ,cleaning, games, TV, hair salon, music and outings. I recently traveled to Colorado Springs for a multi-day visit with my Dad, who resides at Summit Glen. Very nice facility! It is great to see that my Dad is comfortable in his nice apartment and that the on-site management team is available 24 hours per day, should he or any of the other residents have any needs. I had the pleasure to meet the management teams, Nicholas & Crystal, and Trevor & Sarah, and was able to observe both teams in action. They are very much involved in the daily activities within the facility, working with all the wonderful staff to provide the best experience possible for the residents. I joined my Dad for all the chef-prepared meals provided in the dining facility, and I found the choices to be plentiful and delicious. The amenities and planned activities are abundant, to include a theater, chapel, library, exercise room and game rooms (I had a blast playing games in the evenings with my Dad and the other residents) as well as transportation for appointments and other off-site excursions. Summit Glen is a fantastic retirement community, thanks to the great staff and the wonderful residents. I look forward to my next visit!

My elderly parents, who are in their 90's, were looking for a retirement living community after they both starting facing health and mobility issues. They toured different retirement communities throughout Colorado Springs and we decided that Summit Glen was the best place for them. Since moving to Summit Glen they have been able to transition into their new beautiful apartment. The on-site managers (Nicholas & Crystal) are always there to assist them and are so friendly and professional. The apartments are roomy and they have staff who have assisted them in moving their furniture, bed and belongings. The elevators allow them to easily move throughout the facility in a quick and safe way. In addition they are comforted knowing they can always summon help 24/7. Summit Glen is a beautiful facility and residents are provided with three meals a day. There are numerous activities throughout the day like Bingo, exercise and art classes, movie watching and there's plenty to keep them busy. My parents are also pleased that a delivery van is available to take them on errands and appointments. My family wanted to make sure our parents were in a safe and secure facility where they can enjoy their Golden years, and we just want to thank Summit Glen and Nicholas and Crystal for making everything possible for them.

My Dad has an apartment at Summit Glen. Joe said he wished they had moved there years ago. The people look out for each other. The meals we had were really good. I love how each floor has access to a green yard and walking paths. I have never seen a place built into the side of a hill. I'm so glad my Dad is happy there.

My MIL lived there for nearly 6 years! She loved living here! She loved the people and the managers and the staff and especially all of the games - bingo & card games were her faves! They have such wonderful people living there, so friendly and kind and caring. They're like a big family. My MIL struggled for the last few months because of cancer and chemo treatments. The staff still brought her a meal when she wasn't able to go downstairs. They cleaned her room each week and checked on her. As her health declined and she had to move in with us, everyone was so gracious and patient as we moved her things and helped her process this huge change at the end of her life. The managers Nicholas and Crystal were so supportive of us and helped above and beyond as we worked to transition her home and onto hospice. And, finally through her memorial service at the facility as these folks were her family. We're forever grateful for the treasured memories of her stay there. The facility itself is gorgeous! They've done a beautiful job of decorating it and making it feel cozy and homey. The Holidays are cheerfully decorated and they provide awesome events for everyone. And, who doesn't love 24/7 soft serve ice cream!

I moved my father here from Prinville Oregon. He's a USMC combat veteran of the Vietnam war. He seemed depressed in the last facility he lived so we decided to move him out to Colorado Springs to be closer to his grandchildren. After moving into Summit Glen, his mood has already improved in a short amount of time. He's made friends and started participating in activities with others again. The staff has been extremely gracious and attentive. They provide him snacks and extra food, even after meals have been served upon his request. They always keep me informed if there are any issues I need to address. When I'm unable to reach my father, I can call the front office and they find him to have him call me or deliver messages to him. Overall, it's been an excellent experience so far and I am extremely appreciative of all the support they offer my father.

Our priorities for a new residence were: cleanliness, maintenance, security, and 24/7, on-site, live-in managers and assistant managers. Summit Glen surpassed our expectations in these areas. My family and I felt so relieved to know my mother was now safe and in a place where she could have exposure and contact with her peer group and a hands-on management team that was professional and responsive. First and most important to the success of Summit Glen is their management team (Nicolas and Crystal) and staffing. We knew with our first management contact at Summit Glen that they were friendly, attentive and sincere. After moving in, I could tell the management and staff were dedicated, hard-working, fair, honest and willing to bend over backwards to help each resident. Absolutely love this place! From the moment you set foot on the property you are welcomed. We were greeted by the on-sight Managers Nicholas and Crystal. They were so kind and welcoming. They explained clearly how everything worked and took us on a tour. We explained we were a large family and had more people that would need to come. They were so welcoming to the family that came. Another tour was happily given and we signed paperwork that day. Great place for mom. Staff is caring, friendly and quite helpful. Beautiful surroundings, lots of activities for residents including 24 hour soft serve ice cream! Transportation for shopping, etc. is a plus for non driving residents. Dining room serves sit down meals with residents having more than one choice for each meal, plus snacks and fruit readily available all day. Units are well maintained - if there is a repair issue it is generally addressed in a very short amount of time. Maintenance workers are respectful and diligent. Highly recommend if your loved one needs a safe and friendly place to call home.

My mom moved into Summit Glen several months ago up from Florida. She’s a very social person and was just getting very lonely living alone in Florida so I was hoping the move up here would help. She is LOVING living here. She gets 3 nutritious and delicious meals a day, and she has choices so if she doesn’t like what is being served she can pick something else. The staff is great and Nicholas and his wife Crystal are amazing managers. They are always looking out for the residents and know everyone by name. My mom got really sick a few weeks after she moved up and Nicholas would go to her room daily and check on her and even call me with any concerns. There have been times where I’ve tried to call my mom and can’t get her so I just reach out to the office and they always check on her and let me know. This is not your typical retirement community it is extraordinary. Honestly, all the residents are really nice and the entire place is really neat and clean. They have lots of activities to do daily and my mom doesn’t even need her car because they have a bus that takes them shopping and to doctors appointments. I could rave all day about this place and seriously wish if anyone had any questions about this place I could answer honestly, but truly there really isn’t anything negative we’ve experienced and the best part is my mom is so happy, active, and no longer lonely. Thank you everyone at Summit Glen!

Moved mom into Summit Glen on March. I am so impressed with the management and residents. Everyone is so kind and caring! I love that there are so many activities and communal dining. My 85 year old mom is still getting to know folks and settling in, but she loves the weekly housekeeping (included with her rent) and is very grateful for the onsite PT and free ice cream (her favorite .) I love knowing that there are onsite managers on call to help and assist if needed. There are "help" cords in every room of her unit, and people also do welfare checks if they don't hear from her. Fun and educational activities abound every day of the week, and, should she need it, transportation is available when she decides to give up her car. All in all, I love Summit Glen, and would recommend to anyone...in a heartbeat!

My mother has been a resident of Summit Glen since August of 2021. Her apartment is bright and comfortable with a beautiful view, and she has found residents and staff very friendly and welcoming. She likes most of the meals and especially enjoys the group meal setting. I feel this arrangement has "forced" her to interact with others which seems to have provided a bit of a reset on her dementia issues. Summit Glen offers frequent entertainment, bus service to stores/doctors, hair services, in addition to media, activity, and exercise rooms. I can highly recommend Summit Glen based on our experience.

At Summit Glen I feal safe. A year following my massive stroke we decided to move into an active independent living community and chose Summit Glen. My husband and I came here with a trained and registered therapy standard poodle and was well received among the many other pets already living here. The Managers, Allen and Natalie, and the assistant Managers, Nicholas and Crystal, all live in house. Although this is an independent living community, the 24/7 response to our residents' needs is very quick. We also have available many activities as organized by our Activities Coordinator, Chelsey, who schedules weekly field trips for eating and shopping for those who chose. Our bus drivers are on hand to meet our needs for doctors' appointments, errands and personal shopping. Our day-to-day living is done in an atmosphere that is bright, happy and uplifting. The food is good and our meals are events that give us more opportunities to become more familiar each other and meet our new community members. Summit Glen living is a great experience and an excellent community in which to enjoy our life and visit with our family and friends.

From our first impression at our tour a few months ago to the move in and the first week my mom has been living here, it's been nothing less than amazing! I am an independent private care provider at Summit Glen. My mom was a resident two times. In between those times was only about 6 months at an assisted living. We didn't want Mom to go anywhere else but back to Summit! She loved the food, her friends, and the staff. We had a lot of fun during the 4 years she lived there. I recommend this retirement center, haven't seen or heard of any better than this!

My mom has been at Summit Glen since May 2021. She loves it! Her apartment is bright and cherry and the weekly housekeeping is such a plus! The meals are excellent and if she doesn't feel up to going to the dining room, her meals are brought to her. She enjoys the activities and has made many new friends! I can't say enough good things about Summit Glen and how well my mom is treated there.

My father wanted us to look into Summit Glen when my mother passed away and he was tired of eating alone. He has been here a year now and he still tells me how much he loves it here. Even though he can't do any activities anymore he loves eating with the group each day. He says the food is always good! I will say the staff is great and is always helpful for my dad and that in itself, says a lot about Summit Glen!

The staff here must have been picked by hand out of the angels in heaven. The kindness here is unbelievable. These people bend over backward to accommodate every... single... resident. Above and beyond what is expected of them. I dont know how they do that every day! There is a lot of love here, and I highly recommend it! Remember, however, it is INDEPENDENT living for seniors. It isnt intended for folks who need a higher level of care. My mom and I put them in that position, and they NEVER complained. We only learned our mistake from medical people outside the facility. I tried to apologize profusely when Mummie landed herself in the hospital, but Summit Glen staff only gave us more love. Wonderful place. When I reach my golden years, Id love to reside at Summit Glen. Its perfect. <3

Natalie, one of the four excellent live-in directors, is especially compassionate, and has been extremely helpful to our family. The facility is clean, modern, and well appointed. We cannot think of a better spot for anyones senior loved one. You have to check it out.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Summit Glen is simply the best independent living senior apartments in Colorado Springs! The apartments are spacious and comfortable (with a variety of floor plans available); the meals and the dining room are superb, with nutritious food and a good variety of choices at each meal; the grounds and landscaping are well-maintained and truly beautiful; bus transportation is available for residents to go shopping or to doctor appointments; and numerous and varied recreational activities are available every day of the week. Everything is included at a very reasonable monthly amount. But what sets these senior apartments apart from all their competitors is the STAFF! They are exceptional in every way: kind-hearted, patient, considerate, and they truly love the residents they serve. The managers live on-site and are available 24 hours a day. Other senior apartments might be nice, but their staff wont compare to the staff at Summit Glen. Highly recommend for anyone who is considering an independent senior living apartment!

Summit Glen became a welcoming and loving home for my mom when she became a widow after 64 years of marriage. Natalie and Kelly and the rest of the staff at Summit Glen are kind and caring and go above and beyond to make sure every resident is lovingly cared for as a member of the Summit Glen family. The property is beautiful and cheerful, the food is wonderful, and the activities give residents every opportunity to be involved and make friends. My mom loves her little apartment at Summit Glen and is so thankful to be in such a beautiful place where she feels safe and cared for. We could not be happier with the relocation of my 87 year old mom to Summit Glen! Selling her home and moving was a huge decision for her, but the managers, Natalie and Allen, made the transition easy and enjoyable.
