I knew the first time I walked onto the property, this was a quality facility. Mark Sheets went over and above to address every question and concern. He and I toured the campus and discussed what it would take to move my mother out of her home of over 50 years. I knew mom would need to be close to the dining room, so location was critical. A recent vacancy was to be ready for viewing in about a week. I viewed the same floor plan further down the hall and felt it would be adequate for mom's needs. When mom and I looked at the apartment, there was immediate interest in exploring this option further. Mark then offered us to have lunch and experience the food first hand. That closed the deal! The food is delicious, the residents are friendly, the few pets residing there are adorable. Mom has not been this happy and comfortable in a LONG time. She is walking more than before for her three meals a day as well as her two happy hours a week. Mom says- " I feel like I am on a cruise!" We can not wait until cooler weather to sit out on her beautiful balcony and watch the sunset together.

I see this place as my New Famuly Home. Residents & Staff always treat me with a smile, a welcome, and want to know how they can assist me. I will move into an apartment in March as soon as it is ready, maybe on March 15. I've alrrady been asked to be a rrsodent who can zerve others in ways I've already served others with acceptance from them and those in charge in corpirations, churches, and Dallas County As an Elections Day Judge. I love to meet & greet strangers, and treat them as "friends I haven't met yet." That's how Landon Place treats me, too!

It's difficult to put into words how much this place means to me. My Dad has multiple conditions that make living alone at home untenable. He is a proud and strong man who has achieved a lot in his life and leaving the home he has known was difficult. The change that has occurred in the 2 weeks since he came to the Landon has been like the dawning of a new day! Even in the context of "independent living" there is SO MUCH support here! Breakfast with the gang in the morning, supervised exercise and engaging classes in the early afternoon, field trips to wherever the consensus decides, cars available for reservation for errands, the quiet environment, capable security, chef prepared meals, on-site exam room for doctor visits, on-site salon, and the welcoming atmosphere for family and friends are just a few of the many features. It is like Dad was "awakened" and is much more engaged in life, is happier, and spreads joy to to others! The support has turned back his clock by years! If you have the means for this place, it will be a bargain to offer your loved one a space here. I look forward to my own eligibility for residence here!

My husband and I filled out the survey together so I would refer you to that to see how very much we like The Landon of Lake Highlands as our home. The facilities offer all we could want and more! We mentioned so many things we like about it and still did not get everythng. Our apartments are very well designed with many extras and we have garages, carports and storage units availabe. Additional dining facility, The Bistro, is available for breakfast and lunch until 2PM. We have an outdoor heated pool and lovely landscaping with Magnolia trees, roses, flower beds, etc. We also have a fenced dog park right at the back of our section of the facility. We are close to shopping, White Rock Lake Park and the Dallas Arboreum. All in all a great place to live!

For years he has lived with back pain; sometimes unable to walk. After working with Sara in our well equipped Fitnesss Center he is now pain free. I recommend that everyone at the Landon should visit our Fitness Center and try it out. You will feel so much better.

Toured the facility with my mom last week and we were totally impressed by all the amenities and overall feel of the community. Lunch there was so so but the dessert was on point! The Landon is at the top of my mother's list for residency once the sale of her home is final. Also, Kim the leasing person was nice and very informative, she was quite understanding that we couldn't commit right away.

I have been working in this community since 2015 and Nancy was just as knowledgeable, ambitious, sweet and caring then as she is now. Nancy is the key reason why I would recommend this facility. The management team has combined decades of experience proving it is a place people want to work and serve. As a fellow community member I have many friends and neighbors with family who share wonderful stories from their loved ones living at Landon. Everyone wants to enjoy graceful retirement in a vibrant and luxurious place like Landon where engaging activities and wellness are paramount. Cami always has some new activity to enjoy cheering folks up and Sara keeps em moving... ALOT, and now they do it in swimming with their aquatics exercise trainers in the newly refurbished heated pool!

Very rarely have I come across someone like Sara Bartolone, the Wellness Director at The Landon. Her extensive knowledge (a degree in exercise physiology) and experience would qualify her for a 5 star rating. But what really sets her apart is her genuine interest in providing the kind of guidance and support that is so important in helping the elderly rehab from a serious injury. In addition to Sara's expertise, the Wellness Center also has a Fitness Room furnished with all the equipment you'd expect to find in a serious gym. When I first contacted Sara, she spent 40 minutes on the phone with me, answering questions and providing suggestions on how we could help my friend use the Wellness Center at The Landon to recover from surgery after she fell and broke her hip. With Sara's help and encouragement my friend has made remarkable improvement both in her physical stamina and her overall outlook for the future. Sara and the Wellness Center are a key reason why I would recommend The Landon to any of my friends or family.

I love living here at The Landon. The property is beautiful, my apartment is beautiful, my many new friends are wonderful, the entire staff is caring and loving and entertainment is great and now off-site jaunts are starting back again....yea!! I dont have to ever grocery shop, prepare meals are clean afterwards (unless I want to) because we have great chefs and outstanding dining and kitchen staff. I am happy.

My in-laws have recently moved into The Landon at LakeHighlands. They are very happy to be living in such a beautiful place with wonderful luxury conveniences. The management team and the community staff are all so caring, and go out of their way to make sure their every need is met. We have a wonderful staff that have kept us COVID-19 free during the Pandemic. Our Life Enrichment Director has kept us very busy with fun activities such as interesting lectures and virtual vacation tours in our Landon Theater. My favorite exercise is our beautiful swimming pool. We have four classes per week with a different instruction each day to keep it fresh. This gives us great exercise! I enjoy the Theater room with a big screen where a large variety of movies and television shows are played each afternoon and evening. I really enjoy an evening in the theater with friends. The Landon Book Club meets once a month. We have a wonderful facilitator who selects the books and leads the discussions. Our Chef John ends the month with a wonderful cooking demonstration which is also very enjoyable. On the last Saturday of the month he cooks fun recipes and we share them as a meal and get to take home the recipes he had prepared. I have made many good friends at The Landon by attending many of the activities I mention above. We also have may interesting residents here at The Landon that share their jobs and experiences during lunch and dinner hours.
