My Mom ( Jody ) was a 5 year resident at Desert Sprigs GL. She flourished there! At 90 she unfortunately had a stroke , I came from Ohio to be by her side I have a physical disability-, affecting all limbs , I also use a wheelchair..I stayed at DS , while Mom was under hospice care at a separate location The Management, Randy , Scott,Ashley , Kelly were so kind , compassionate, empathetic during my 2 month stay. I was also blessed that Tabitha , from Ds in house right at home service was able to arrange an aide to help me briefly , everyday I was there. Briana & Savanah were godsends ! I also was allowed to get meals from the kitchen , another Godsend - The food and service was not only delicious it nourished my soul ! Thank you to all who delivered meals to my Moms room for me , during this very difficult/ unplanned crisis. Unfortunately, My Mom passed away , I am forever grateful for the gifts of kindness from the staff & residents who gave me the gift of time to be with Mom, until the end. Thank you DS for the exemplary care towards my Mom during her life, and to me at the end of her life. - With Appreciation, Joyce Eberl.

Desert Springs has been a wonderful place for my father-in-law to live. He has the privacy of his own apartment but the convenience of eating all his meals in the lovely dining room. He has made numerous friends and enjoys playing cribbage. They decorate the facility for every holiday and constantly have performances booked for the resident’s enjoyment. The staff is very attentive and watch out for him. I highly recommend Desert Springs.

My dad lived at Desert Springs for the past 5 years. During that time I would visit him several times a year. I was always impressed with the staff, the cleanliness of the building and the well kept grounds. I cannot say enough good things about the management staff; Mary, Randy, Scott, Ashley and Kelly. They are all very involved and caring. It's nice that they live onsite. The kitchen staff, servers/house keepers are just as caring. It's no wonder that many have been there for years. The events coordinator, Cheryl, is so good at her job and keeps everybody involved that wants to be; always something going on each day. Towards the end of that 5 years my dad's health declined and he passed away. Cheryl helped me so much after my dad passed. All I can say, is if you're looking to move into a retirement community in the sunny Tucson area, this is it. You are home! Bart

My Mom lived at Desert Springs for the past several years and loved it. The bright dining room upon entry grabbed her from her first visit. Randy, Mary, Kelly and Cheryl were wonderful hosts. The facility provided everything that Mom needed, but the caring nature of management separated Desert Springs from other communities. She was able to forge many new friendships with other residents and was happy to be a resident there.

My wife and I spent the last two years at Desert Springs Gracious Living. When we sold our house and moved in we both were a little apprehensive about the change, but it worked out to be a very good decision. We quickly made friends with the residents, managers and staff. The current managers became very good friends, they always went above and beyond our expectation for managers of such a facility. As far as the staff goes, they too were excellent. Suffice it to say that we highly recommend Desert Springs to anyone who may be looking for independent living arrangements.

I recently flew down from Alaska to visit my sister and brother-in-law at Desert Springs. What a wonderful experience! I spent 3 nights in the guest suite and ate my meals in the dining room. This place has gourmet cuisine! The service staff was amazing! Everyone treated me like I was a member of the family! Excellent community. The managers and staff know everyone’s name and preferences, and treat everyone kindly. The residents are exceptionally kind and thoughtful, looking after each other. The food was excellent as well, with many choices. I stayed in the model apartment for a week while visiting my Mom. It is the perfect place for my Mom.

I was driven here right from the hospital..I thought I was going back to the casita on my daughter’s property.. I was so angry and scared.. had lunch which I could barely eat and then my daughter took me to my room.. both my cats Tom and Jerry were there..pictures on the wall.. furniture and pictures of my family everywhereThen best of all Randy our manager came to my room and talked to me and my daughter for over an hour ..I knew then this was the most caring place and that my daughter had done the most research and chosen Desert Springs which I will be eternally grateful to her.. All my meals.. food is wonderful.. our rooms are cleaned once a week and I don’t even have to make my bed as fresh sheets and towels are provided.. Randy and Mary are the most dedicated managers and show us every day how much they care for each and everyone of us. I have met wonderful residents and I love to help when I can and I love to tease and laugh with all..Thank you to all the staff for just caring and being so gracious .

My mother has been living at Desert Springs for several years and we fly down a couple times a year to spend a few days with her. We stay in the guest apartment and all of the meals are included. The facility is always clean, the food is wonderful and there are multiple daily activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. The staff is warm, friendly and engaged. From the managers down they all seem to be genuinely concerned about the well being of the residents and their guests.

This is a friendly, helpful community that is a size I can handle-not too large and not too small. The interior surroundings are bright and cheerful, and the employees are kind and patient. There are numerous, varied activities that appeal to the varied personalities of the residents. It can also be very peaceful and quiet when necessary. I spent 2 months at another facility which I chose mainly because it was more reasonably priced. I was not happy there and asked to speak to their manager about my reasons. She was not available for two weeks and by then I had heard from Desert Springs inviting me to lunch which I accepted. I moved in one month later and am very happy.

Before I came here I Looked into about 5 different places and without any hesitation I moved here for many different factors.: Wonderful location, Cleanliness of the place, good food and service and also friendliness of all the staff. Absolutely beautiful place with incredible amenities that you wouldn't even see in the nicest hotel. The management is incredibly nice, professional, and most importantly hospitable. There is absolutely everything that you need here. This place is more like a resort than a retirement home. It's like a permanent vacation within a huge building. Theater, game rooms, 24-hour refreshments, library, office, event areas, a pool, and much more. Most certainly recommended as everyone here seems happy and upbeat and that's always a good sign.

We moved my Mother Nora into Desert Springs in March of this year. It has been a very good experience. She is well taken care of and the meals have encouraged her to eat healthier than she was in her own home in Oregon. Her health has also improved. Her studio apartment facing the little courtyard is so pleasant. She has made friends and is much more secure than while living alone. All the staff at Desert Springs has been helpful and pleasant. The activities are well planned and she can join in on any she chooses. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. My mom moved to Desert Springs from a nearby assisted living facility when she was able to be more independent. The staff was very supportive, friendly, and helpful. They made sure she was able to have an apartment that was conveniently located near the dining room due to her limited mobility. The home is much more open, light and welcoming than her previous facility. Her apartment was spacious enough for her to have a couch to entertain visitors. During the pandemic Desert Spring was much more flexible with visitors and caretakers. The dining room offers a variety of menu options throughout the month and residents are not limited to a dollar amount like her previous residence. Overall, her experience there was a very positive one.

Joining the Family at Desert Springs was the best decision I’ve ever made! After dedicating 20 years to another Retirement Community, I never imagined a change. Nobody likes change, regardless of age. I now sound like my residents. I wish I would have made this move sooner The residents are truly happy here, not only does it show but from the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy. One of the many things I love most, which really sets us apart, is The Resident Travel Program!! With having over 50 communities across the United States and Canada. As a resident, you can travel to any location and stay up to 7 nights per visit for FREE!!! Seriously!!!! Check out the cities and states, I’m sure you have a family member or friend near by one of our communities. The only complaint I have, I’m not old enough to move in. You have to be 55+, I will patiently be waiting.

Sue and I moved to Desert Spring June 4. We had a wonderful welcome and would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe and welcoming retirement community to consider Desert Springs. Lou and Carla, our community managers, go out of their way to insure we are comfortable and the community is meeting all our needs. You are sure to see them in the dining room at most meals with a coffee pot in hand and stopping by your table. It is more than making sure you have a warm cup of coffee or tea, but to ask how you are doing and cheerful chat. A good way to start your morning or close out your day.

I Have lived here for 3 Months and its a very nice place ! #1 The management Is great Lou & Carla - Do a Great job at runny this Facility and they care about the people who live here and there are times that they need to go above and beyond ! I forgot to add the Managers live there and are available 24-7 #2 The staff Here Is The Best that Have seen Bar None They love there jobs and the people they work for, They always happy to help the residents when asked . #3 The Apt. are quite nice My Studio is big and has back door to a small patio and yard.
