Desert Springs was a wonderful first step for my aging mother-in-law. It provided safety and peace of mind for her as well as her daughter and myself. A very nice senior Independent Living facility. The staff and especially the manager were so very pleasant and friendly. It is what you hope for for your parents as they need a place to call home. We only wish that they also had some Assisted Living arrangements to move into.

Excellent community. The managers and staff know everyone's name and preferences, and treat everyone kindly. The residents are exceptionally kind and thoughtful, looking after each other. The food was excellent as well, with many choices. I stayed in the model apartment for a week while visiting my Mom. It is the perfect place for my Mom.

I recently flew down from Alaska to visit my sister and brother-in-law at Desert Springs. What a wonderful experience! I spent 3 nights in the guest suite and ate my meals in the dining room. This place has gourmet cuisine! The service staff was amazing! Everyone treated me like I was a member of the family! I am so happy that Edrye and Tom are living in this perfect home at this crucial time in their lives.

I was driven here right from the hospital…I thought I was going back to the casita on my daughter's property… I was so angry and scared… had lunch which I could barely eat and then my daughter took me to my room… both my cats Tom and Jerry were there…pictures on the wall… furniture and pictures of my family everywhere…Then best of all Randy our manager came to my room and talked to me and my daughter for over an hour …I knew then this was the most caring place and that my daughter had done the most research and chosen Desert Springs which I will be eternally grateful to her… All my meals… food is wonderful… our rooms are cleaned once a week and I don't even have to make my bed as fresh sheets and towels are provided… Randy and Mary are the most dedicated managers and show us every day how much they care for each and everyone of us. I have met wonderful residents and I love to help when I can and I love to tease and laugh with all…Thank you to all the staff for just caring and being so gracious .

Desert springs is by far the best senior living community in tucson. The managers Randy and Mary create the perfect balance of proffesional and family type atmosphere. I have been the hairstylist in the building for seven years and would not work anywhere else. Definetly a place to call home!!

Desert Springs is my residence since October, 2021. Before I came here I Looked into about 5 different places and without any hesitation I moved here for many different factors.: Wonderful location, Cleanliness of the place, good food and service and also friendliness of all the staff. Our new Managers Randy and Mary Moore and Assistant Managers Sarah and Amanda Fairfield are a wonderful asset to our place as they always have a helping hand to all the residents. This is a great place to live in when you are forced due to health problems to gave up your home. Julie Balogh

My mother has been living at Desert Springs for several years and we fly down a couple times a year to spend a few days with her. We stay in the guest apartment and all of the meals are included. The facility is always clean, the food is wonderful and there are multiple daily activities to keep the residents engaged and entertained. The staff is warm, friendly and engaged. From the managers down they all seem to be genuinely concerned about the well being of the residents and their guests.

This is a friendly, helpful community that is a size I can handle-not too large and not too small. The interior surroundings are bright and cheerful, and the employees are kind and patient. There are numerous, varied activities that appeal to the varied personalities of the residents. It can also be very peaceful and quiet when necessary. I spent 2 months at another facility which I chose mainly because it was more reasonably priced. I was not happy there and asked to speak to their manager about my reasons. She was not available for two weeks and by then I had heard from Desert Springs inviting me to lunch which I accepted. I moved in one month later and am very happy.

My first impression was the open bright space and a welcoming reception. However the management is brutally rude and contientious when maintenance problems are reported. Most are ignored.

We spent months trying to find an environment that was warm and provided a comfortable feeling (not a phony sales pitch). After one visit we felt good about staying. So many happy people that say they will not move from here, it is there home.

Absolutely beautiful place with incredible amenities that you wouldn't even see in the nicest hotel. The management is incredibly nice, professional, and most importantly hospitable. There is absolutely everything that you need here. This place is more like a resort than a retirement home. It's like a permanent vacation within a huge building. Theater, game rooms, 24-hour refreshments, library, office, event areas, a pool, and much more. Most certainly recommended as everyone here seems happy and upbeat and that's always a good sign.

I moved my dad into desert springs a few weeks ago with his dog. He loves it there and as his daughter I do to. He is eating three meals a day and the residents are all so friendly and the staff is great.

What a beautiful building and property Desert Springs is, with such a wide variety of apartments. There are always lots of fun activities going on that keeps us all busy, and the residents are so friendly. There is definitely that sense of community here that benefits everyone. Plus, we all enjoy awesome meals with lots of choices, it is the "Best Food in Town"! Highly recommended!

We moved my Mother Nora into Desert Springs in March of this year. It has been a very good experience. She is well taken care of and the meals have encouraged her to eat healthier than she was in her own home in Oregon. Her health has also improved. Her studio apartment facing the little courtyard is so pleasant. She has made friends and is much more secure than while living alone. All the staff at Desert Springs has been helpful and pleasant. The activities are well planned and she can join in on any she chooses. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. We are glad as a family that we made this choice for her especially since we live very close to Desert Springs and can visit her often. Regards, Carol

My mom moved to Desert Springs from a nearby assisted living facility when she was able to be more independent. The staff was very supportive, friendly, and helpful. They made sure she was able to have an apartment that was conveniently located near the dining room due to her limited mobility. The home is much more open, light and welcoming than her previous facility. Her apartment was spacious enough for her to have a couch to entertain visitors. During the pandemic Desert Spring was much more flexible with visitors and caretakers. The dining room offers a variety of menu options throughout the month and residents are not limited to a dollar amount like her previous residence. Overall, her experience there was a very positive one.

Welcome from the Activity Department here at Desert Springs Gracious Retirement Living. My name is Jeanette Simi and I get the honor of being the Activity Coordinator for the last two years. Come with me and we will do a visual tour of our Activity Department. We will start at the front door and yes, first impressions are important. The first thing you will notice is that we love to decorate for holidays and parties! Always a new theme going on! The next thing you will notice is the laughter in the halls and smiles on the residents faces. We have a very social group here at Desert Springs, so it is my pleasure doing my best to make a difference in the resident's daily life. It all starts with focusing on the health and well-being of each resident through exercise, art, memory enhancement classes, educational as well as musical programs, book club, current events, chat with the chef, excursions to local events and restaurants. We provide a full calendar of events as our residents like to enjoy the active life! Well, I am off to discover more adventures for our residents. If you get a minute, stop by and say "Hello"! My grandma, Cathy R, has lived there for 6 yrs and loves it there. She has made many friends & the staff have always been very helpful to her over the years. I have been there many times myself & its always clean, friendly, & the food is usually very good. The apartments are nice & the price is very reasonable.
