My mother in-law lived here for over 6 years until she passed away last month. This is an excellent place to live. The directors and staff are friendly and really care about the residents. There are activities scheduled throughout the day that everyone can participate in to stay active or just to socialize. The menu prepared by their chefs is well balanced and nutritious. The variety and quality of the meals is first class. They have a bus for residents who don't have their own transportation to go to appointments or shopping. When they talk about being part of the Parker Place family, that's just what it means. My mother in-law loved it there. She had so many friends there.

Some time ago I had to find a place to live for 2-3 months as my condo was going to have to be empty for some needed repairs. In my search I remembered Parker Place from an invitation I received to come and have dinner with the residents and then take a tour of the facility. Well I was very impressed and so entered into an agreement to stay there while repairs were being made to my condo. Candy and Chuck LaCombe did all they could to make my stay very pleasant. They are two very caring individuals and dedicated employees. I cannot say enough about them. The same applies to the chef there and his kitchen staff. He and his crew are certainly an example of what a "5 Star Rating" means. I have lived at Parker Place for seven months. I really like it here. The staff and residents are great people. The staff really cares about the residents. The food is wonderful. The building is always kept clean. There is always something to do as far as activities go. I have lived at other retirement communities, but nothing compares to Parker Place.

Parker Place Mentor is a wonderful community. Both the residents and staff are very friendly and helpful. The meals are very good and you gotta love the dessert trolley and always open icecream machine. There are lots of fun activities that you can join. The community is beautifully decorated. The four onsite managers and the activity coordinator are top notch.

I love this place! My mom has lived here a little more than a year. I needed a place she could live independently, yet get a little extra help and not feel alone. They offer 3 wonderful meals a day served by very kind and courteous staff in a very beautiful dining room. When she is feeling a little under the weather, she can request a meal brought up to her apartment. My mom has made many friends and enjoys many evenings sitting in the atrium eating ice cream and talking with her neighbors. The managers Chuck and Candy are the Best! They truly care about all their residents, greeting all with a smile, kindness and offer support and help in any way they can.

My mom moved in a few months ago. The place is wonderful for her. She has nothing to say but how she is so blessed to be living there. There are lots of activities and the atmosphere is more like a cruise ship than a a retirement community. All the staff has been over the top helpful. On one occasion mom didn’t feel up to going to the restaurant for breakfast and called to have a meal brought up. When Marc brought her breakfast he also stayed and made her a cup of coffee in her pot. Then served her both the meal and coffee in her own room. Well done Marc. She was talking about his kindness for days.

Parker Place in Mentor surpasses everything Independent living has to offer. The management, staff and culinary staff makes you think you are in a hotel. My mother calls it home.

My parents have lived at Parker Place for the last 3 1/2 years. They had very little social life prior to moving there, as they no longer drive, and they felt trapped in their condo. At Parker Place there are plenty of social activities right down the hall from their apartment. They have made new friends and their social life has improved dramatically! They also really appreciate the quality of the meals they are served at Parker Place. Additionally, the management (Chuck and Candy) have been fantastic. Always personable and concerned about my parents we'll being. I have peace of mind knowing my parents are in a safe, socially active environment.

A friend of mine was looking for a senior living facility to call home. As I watched my friend's family look for a place she would be happy, I decided that I would look for a facility that would meet my needs when the time came I needed more care. I toured many facilities. When I called Parker Place I lacked transportation and Brennen Johnson, Community Sales, came to my home and drove me to Parker Place. We spent two hours touring Parker Place and answering my many questions. I met the employees I saw and they also answered my questions. The other employees I met answered my questions. A few weeks after my tour, I was invited to share a special lunch they were serving. I watched as each table talked and laughed. When the time comes that I need more care, I will make Parker Place my new home. Thank you Brennen.

My mother in law has been a resident for 8 years. She has been happy with her time there. Our experience with the current managers, Chuck and Candy, has always been positive. The residents really enjoy them. They have helped us on financial issues and supported my mother in law in many ways. The dining room experience has been very good.

We could not be happier with my father-in-laws transition with moving into his apartment 2 months ago. He loves it and we love it. Chuck and Candy have been so sweet and accommodating to his needs. We have seen such a tremendous change in dad’s mental and physical health since he moved in. Socializing was the key. He always says everyone, including staff and residents are so friendly. I definitely give Parker Place 5 stars.

Mangers Chuck & Candy (LaCombe) made my father’s transition into Parker Place seamless and easy. They were very attentive to his needs and happily accommodated his specific living preferences. They support the needs of Parker Place residents very well.

I lived here in both a studio and 1-BR, and PP served my temp needs very well for 2021 and 22. Very nice neighbors and cooperative mgt. Liked the amenities, particularly the library. Wish there was an option to live at Parker and not buy meals. After I moved in, my Docs switched me to a strict cardiac, nephrological and neurological food plan, so I had to bypass the good Parker food and prepare my own. That meant I paid for food in the dining room when I couldn’t eat it. I stayed because everything else was perfect for me. Great place for independent living. Perfect if you could opt out of their meals.

My mother has been a resident at Parker Place for many years and we could not be happier with the care, freedom, and facilities. Visitors are very welcome. I shared a facility concern with a staff member and it was handled immediately. Chuck and Candy (managers) were friendly and professional, busily making sure everything was running smoothly at all times.

My grandmother has lived at Parker Place since March 2023 and really likes it there. There are daily activities, a shuttle bus to take residents out for errands and appointments, and refreshments available around the clock. Meals, all utilities, and weekly housekeeping are included in the reasonable monthly rent. The apartments are spacious and include either a patio or balcony, kitchenette, and walk-in shower. There are also pull chords in every room that automatically contact the staff in case of a fall or emergency. The best part of this independent living facility is the caring staff. The managers live on-site and get to know the residents right away, often checking in to make sure they’re ok. The building is always clean and is conveniently located near highways and shopping. A bonus is the Cleveland Clinic Mentor Hospital opening in just a few weeks. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, caring place for their senior relatives!

My brother lives at Parker Place. I am a retired nurse. I enjoy my visits. The staff and managers are great. Meals are tasty and served restaurant style. The facility is clean snd well maintained. I feel Parker Place is a safe place for my brother. It allows a person to be active and independent but people are available if needed. Also therapy on the premise.

We had a wonderful time visiting on Memorial Day with my Aunt & Uncle who live at Park Place. We had a table for eight for dinner and enjoyed their grilling for the holiday of hamburgers, brats, or hot dogs. It was such a coordinated effort by the staff and a fun time. The food was great.

Too many management turnovers since my parents moved to Parker Place in June 2021...this is confusing and dispiriting to the residents. Food quality has been affected at times by changes in management and staff. Activities (e.g. Book Club) have been unreliable. However, my parents at ages 91 and 89 are mostly happy at Parker Place.

I was caught in the middle of management changes. I was basically on my own to introduce myself to others. No one from administration came to room to get the packet of papers I had filled out. But the neighbors were ready to step in and fill me in on whats what.. I absoloutely love this place

We were conned Hate and racism is rampant. Bad behavior is encouraged and cliques and the byword. Several people died in their rooms..no one checked and their bodies lay there days. Most belong in nursing homes. All care is extra and few are self sufficient many have not a penny to spare after rent and all is extra Only [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] had compassion and [Name Removed] is a liar and only cares about the bottom line. This is a heartless and soulless organization Avoid

We love this place for our mom! Why?! Because she loves it; she's told us she's the happiest she's been since my stepfather passed away. This place is immaculate; the staff is welcoming, professional, and friendly; they allow pets, and they provide for everything (medical, on-sight barber/stylist, three tasty meals and snacks, arts/crafts, daily outings, transportation, 24-hour ice cream machine access, etc.) I've never, and I mean never, seen my mom this happy and treated this well. (The pictures of/with my mom are at the Football Hall of Fame, and the ones of just my husband and me are at Parker Place)
