Apartments are cute and the layout is great

I give this a two. It is a great place, especially for those with mobility issues. Almost everybody here uses a walker, a bit hard for those of us who don’t but hey we are getting there and we are ok with it. But the manager here is from Texas and that’s a deep red state. He wore a tshirt once that said “Jesus” on it. I love Jesus too and I have a tee shirt like that but given the political climate in this country I don’t wear it. Too many Christians associate with a controversial political figure. I commented on it to [name removed] - then forgot about it. Days later he approached me in the dining room and had a political discussion mentioning abortion and homosexuality and how could I be a Christian if I supported those things. Then he called me a “nut”. That man belongs in Texas. I tearfully went back to my room. This place is beautiful and I recommend it but to have such a manager expressing those opinions to residents - to follow them out of the dining room to discuss something I had long forgotten! Two stars - would have been five

My husband and I assisted a close family friend with his move to Colonial Gardens. Prior to the move, our friend had been very depressed due to the death of his best friend and co-owner of his home. He was overwhelmed with the process of selling his home and moving into a new environment. The move to Colonial Gardens has turned out to be the best decision he could have made! It has transformed him back to the happy outgoing person we always knew. He has a beautiful apartment that he is very proud of, many new friends and a much better outlook on life in general. The facility is beautiful and so well taken care of. We can't say enough about the caring and helpful staff that assisted him through the transition and continue to provide great service every day. The on-site management team is on duty 24/7 which provides a safe and secure feeling for the residents and their families. We highly recommend Colonial Gardens in Beverly!

Our Mother has been a resident at Colonial Gardens for five years and we thought we should write a review regarding her time there.I will start with her Apartment which she absolutely loves. She finds it very cozy an it has everything that she needs. She loves the fact that it is very quiet and peaceful all the time. We all love the fact that there is something for her to do all the time to keep busy. Over the years Mom has found many old and new friends to spend time with. The fact that they receive three meals a day is a great relief to all, as with age it gets harder to prepare meals.The food has been very good over the years. We find staff members very helpful for anything that has come up over the years. I don’t want to leave out the fact that they have transportation for Doctors visits, shopping and field trips. That’s great as Mom doesn’t drive. Keep up the great work at C.G. And Thank you.

Colonial Gardens is a well kept, caring community offering among other things, delicious meals and a variety of activities. The roomy apartments are cozy and comfortable and the staff are helpful and gracious. Talking to residents and being with people daily makes me feel alive again! I would highly recommend! Alida

Managers Sam and Carrie are wonderful caring and compassionate. Mom has been there a month and they have been very helpful and informative. Mom is adjusting slowly and the staff are all friendly and professional. It's beautiful cleaned and inviting and the food is wonderful. I would not hesitate in recommending colonial gardens to friends and family. Diane & Mark
