Recently moved my father here from Charleston and have been very happy with the facility. The campus has beautiful grounds and a caring staff. He has received very good service at meals and loves the food. Many of the residents have welcomed him and he has joined some activities already. I highly recommend this complex and its dedicated staff.

Haywood Estates had some less than stellar times in the post-covid period. I am happy to report, with new Ownership and the current Management, Haywood Estates is exactly where I want my Mom to live. The staff is wonderful, the activities are varied and offer something for everyone. They have outings and they also have groups come in to offer music, meetings and information sessions. As this facility is independent living, they do offer additional services. That gives ME peace of mind. This facility gets 5 stars.

When we entered Hayward estates we were greeted warmly by the staff, which eased some of the tension my mom was feeling. After the tour we went into the office and Chris addressed our questions and kept my mom engaged in the conversation by asking her opinion on things, which she appreciated. During our drive home she was convinced she wanted to move. She moved into Hayward on August 30th and has made new friends and socializing with her neighbors, which is nice to see and she seems to enjoy the activities. Her only complaint is they give her too much food. I guess that’s a good complaint. ™. Thank you Chris for your patience and always providing timely responses to our questions and thank you to all the staff for making her experience enjoyable.

Choosing a new home for my mom was a big decision, especially since she initially refused to move into a senior living community. But from the moment we arrived at Haywood Estates, everything changed. It truly sets itself apart from its competitors in the best of ways, and a huge part of that is due to Chris Dickinson. Chris is simply exceptional. He listened to our concerns and took the time to understand what my mom needed. His guidance led us to the perfect, affordable two-bedroom unit that made my mom feel so much more at ease. Chris's personal touch and genuine care made all the difference, transforming my mom's hesitation into genuine excitement. We are so looking forward to how her new neighborhood will add to her quality of life.

My father has lived here for almost 3 years. I can't think of a better place for him to be close to me. The staff is amazing and caring. From John to GM, Bill, Christopher, Wendi, Gail, and the rest of the staff. Tonya the Activity Director is amazing,caring, and compassionate. She goes above and beyond for "her people". During Helene, this staff worked over hours to ensure the safety and well-being of all the residents! They did an amazing job! I can come and go at anytime! Planted a garden for my father outside his apartment.He loves it. We made the best choice for my father at the Haywood Estates. My father is able to to maintain his independence and be close to us!

Haywood Estates is a wonderful place. It is very clean and the staff is awesome. You can tell that they really care about the residents. They keep the residents busy with lots of fun activities and outings. Everyone just seems so happy there and I was very impressed. I would highly recommend them !!

My mother has been a resident of Haywood Estates for nearly five years. In that time, the community has gone through numerous management and support staff. The present management and support team (Atria) is by far the best I have encountered. They work together well, and it is clear that their regard and concern in creating enriching experiences for the residents is a priority. For example a recent summer lunch which I attended with my mother featured a community barbecue complete with delicious sides and dessert, enhanced by a camping theme with music, games and decorations. There was a genuine air of enjoyment all around. Now I have learned that once again Haywood Estates will undergo a change in management service. With all the physical renovations, Haywood has a most pleasing appeal. My hope is that every single employee is retained with the change for the residents sake. I see happy caring people that make a difference in the quality of the residents lives.

My dad CHOSE to live here and he loved it! It is independent living with included meals, snacks and light cleaning. He enjoyed the meals and participated fully in the wide array of the activities that were offered. The other residents were social and kind with my dad having expressive aphasia. The staff members, even through the changes and renovations were amazing to him and me. He unfortunately is needing more assistance with reminders now so he cannot stay here but I recommend the place highly. It is clean, bright and has a welcoming feel.

Lizbeth and Gail went above and beyond to make Valentine’s Day special for residents and guests alike. Additionally, Tonya is a treasure to The entire ATRIA organization. I visited today after a year (post) COVID and 3 vaccinations to bring a gift to my aunt. I have only a suggestion. I love to new check in protocol, however feel that it falls short for identification. I know my aunt is having memory issues and needs reassurance that anyone entering has to provide their identification to enter as she is hearing stories about scams and rightfully so. Is there a way that can be implemented and explained to them that they are safe when family comes in or have us in a safe database for their security. It’s so sad when you’re not remembered but even harder when you’re there to help and can’t due to their fear. Thank you!

My aunt with memory issues has been a resident for 5 months. She can be difficult at times, but the staff, especially Ally and Louise, have always been patient and kind with her. The facility is a little dated, but it is well kept and clean and the rooms are spacious. The food is good with several choices for picky people like my aunt. It's not a medical facility, but medical help is available on site and is great, especially the PT and OT ladies.

Very nice retirement home on haywood blvd. I put up a Paparazzi Accessories display booth there one day. I love my $5 bling business. ’ The people living there were so friendly and so nice. The staff was friendly too. It looks like the residents are very happy and satisfied with their living arrangements

Mom, because of her dementia, needed to move from living independently at home. We searched everywhere, looking to find a secure, friendly environment that would stretch her savings until long-term care was needed. After exhaustive research, we found Haywood Estates. Great location, attractive facility layout and an upbeat, caring staff. The dining room serves 3 hot meals with cloth napkins every day. Mom has lived at Haywood Estates now for 11 months. She is eating well, has made friends and is content. We couldn't ask for more.

The facility is dated, but the environment is top notch. The staff is friendly and engaging, and you see the same faces day after day. Fun activities and special events for residents. My mom (70 years old) moved in 3 months ago, and is very happy.

This is the nicest retirement home I have ever been in. There is a real Chef on staff and the food is excellent. I would definitely trust that my loved ones are safe and happy here, because it's the place where I would want to go myself. The amenities are comparable to a 4-star hotel.
