I’m at a total loss as to why these apartments are so expensive. They’re outdated, it smells bad, and the don’t have real chefs preparing the meals. They’re very old and much renovation is needed. The carpet needs to be removed out of the entire building. Carpet holds bad odors, allergens and other toxic things that aren’t safe for the residents. The heating/ cooling systems definitely need to be updated. There needs to be security on site 24 hours. Many other things need to be done to begin to ask these rediculous rates. You’re literally robbing these senior citizens. The staff is friendly and there are lots of activities. However, that still doesn’t justify these outrageous rates. Do better!!! The 2 star rating is for staff and activities only. The rest needs an overhaul.

I can’t say enough about Karena and Judy. They truly care about the residents and their families, and they work so well as a team. They go above and beyond the call of duty to help and assist the residents and their coworkers. Karena always has a beautiful smile on her face, no matter how busy she is, and she and Judy always show great hospitality to their guests ( vendors, healthcare providers, and others). I truly enjoy visiting Holiday Pinegate and socializing, conversing, and celebrating the residents birthdays with them monthly. Savannah is always kind and friendly also. The dietary department works well as a team. Great Holiday Pinegate Staff and Residents!!!!

My mom lived at Pinegate from 2013 to 2019 and I took care of her during that time. When it came time to select a place for myself, I chose Pinegate because of my experience with mom. The staff is wonderful and the friendships you develop make life so much more enjoyable. There are a variety of activities in which to participate, and if you have a small dog or cat Pinegate is pet friendly. Come take a tour and find out what makes Pinegate so special!

Updated post, I have now lived at Pinegate almost 6 years and still say it was the best decision I could have made at that time.The staff is welcoming and friendly...making residents feel like family. Making new friends and participating in activities keeps me active and connected with my Pinegate family. I'm a picky eater, and quess what? I haven't lost a pound. You have a choice of 4 entrees. It's not your Mom's cooking... but I couldn't cook like her either ;-). Most meals are excellent meals. And I don't have to cook or clean up afterward. Our General Manager, Jordie Hanson has done an outstanding job with the help of Hamilton Sims keeping everything running smoothly. Karena Bloodser works hard keeping it beautifully decorated for all seasons and holidays.. Karena plans and schedules activies and events to meet the needs of our 100+ residents. I have lived here almost 9 years . We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a loving, caring staff. Do I like all the food? No, I surely don't. I am not from the south, and have had to get used to a different cuisine. I almost always manage to find something on our menu. We have wide variety of activities and really good outside entertainers come in for our enjoyment. I have been extremely happy at Pinegate. It was a good move for me.

I moved into the Pinegate facility at the end of May 2021! My experience there was very uplifting, warming and overall enlightening! I give the facility a five-star rating! I used to be an introvert by nature. I was more less reserved in my personality and didn't know how to socialize! Living at Pine gate brought me out of my shell and turned me into a person who thrives in community and due to my experience I have become an outgoing and emotionally balanced person! I thank Pinegate! The staff have always been very courteous, kind and very Hands-On in their approach in running the facility! The late Ms Rebecca Mickler was outstanding as a General manager, she played a huge part in molding me into the person I have become! A lot of the staff played part in that also, Miss Karena the activity director I give two thumbs up to also! She has been an integral part of my journey as I lived there! I have family at Pinegate in Macon and I volunteered to help with a Fall festival on Friday. The staff were all so friendly and professional. They certainly had all the residents at the top Of their priority. The facility itself is clean and welcoming. The residents were happy and enjoyed the food and entertainment. The Manager had every detail planned and prepared. She personally made sure each person felt like the celebration was for them. I also noticed the Manager and other employees were happy and resident focused. Everyone worked together in a positive and respectful way toward one another and the residents.

My dad and his little doggie were residents at Pinegate and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and facility. Rebecca was always there for my dad if he needed someone just to listen to his rants. The activities they did were top notch! My dad was a very picky eater, but loved the food provided at Pinegate. Sadly he had a stroke and had to move to a more skilled facility. I am a nurse practitioner and have several patients from Pinegate that I see and they also love living there. My husband and I often joke that we will be eligible in a year to move in ourselves. It’s that nice of a place. Highly recommend.

Immediately, greeted when I entered the community. I was impressed w the resident interaction with the staff and one another. Clean, set up in a cruise ship fashion, where is the next destination. I would live here and age in place w third party supports in a heartbeat. Come aboard and sail away for the rest of our journey together. You can’t ask for a better crew and staff. Pinegate was an extremely high quality facility when my mother arrived at their doors 5 years ago. I (and my mother) have seen a lowered standard of care related to the services offered by the staff (seldom taking care of requests for help and addressing resident concerns) as well as a severe decline in the quality of the meals being served. Mealtime in particular is a time for socializing with others and having an enjoyable lunch or dinner with your friends. Right now the only "socializing" which takes place is primarily focused on discussing the poor quality of food that is being set before them at nearly every meal.
