My sisters and I toured many places for our elderly parents. This place is amazing! Tiffany has gone out of her way to accommodate us. The residents we spoke with are all happy and clearly the staff genuinely cares for them. The apartments are beautiful and well taken care of. I cannot wait to see my elderly Dad thrive in this new setting.

We were referred to Independence Village by an agency that was helping us with a search for our mother who has very specific needs and not a large budget. To say we were pleasantly surprised with all of the amenities, how nice the facility is, and flexibility of being able to meet different level of care needs would be an understatement. From the time we walked in the door Tiffani and Shereida set our mind at ease that Mom would be comfortable, safe and well cared for. They also were able to work within her budget. The peace of mind they have given us is PRICELESS. Thank you ladies.

We had been working with Tiffany for over a year on considering moving my dad in. When circumstances were right, we finally went and took the tour. This place is a MUST see! If we had gone sooner, he would have moved in sooner. Tiffany is so personable and kind and easy to work with. She cares about people. It isn't just a "sale" for her. It's so refreshing. We are very excited about my dad becoming a part of this amazing community! Thank you, Tiffany! You're professional and thorough but made us feel welcomed and like family. Highly recommend!

This is one of the greatest places for an independent senior! I searched all over with my family for a nice, safe, and inviting place. When we walked in Cass Lake and met Tiffani and the other staff and fell in love with the community! My father has become a new person here. He is happy and enjoying his new home and surroundings! If someone is questioning where to go, this is the place! Ask for Tiffani and she will make you feel like family!!!

My dad has been at The Inn for 3 years now. I had to move him from Port Huron where he lived for 25 years. When I moved him I didn’t know how sick he was, he hid it from us. But the care he got from his caregiver Valerie was great, she went the extra mile to care for him. I have referred many people to come see The Inn and check it out. Dad is very social and loves to sit with his favorites in the dining room. He loves the food they serve, and has no problem telling them when it wasn’t soft enough to chew. He just turned 100 and they had a beautiful lunch for him with the residents & his family and entertainment. He loves to chat with everyone and is a happy to live at The Inn they have activities and entertainment if you choose to participate. It’s very clean, and Shereida and her staff are kind and helpful if you or the resident have an issue, it gets resolved. Dad loves it there and I’m happy he’s there. He’s living his best life!

My mom and I went on a tour of the facility on Oct. 3rd and was so impressed i was compelled to write this review. Jasimine, the sales manager, was amazing! She not only discussed with us all our option, apartment availability/pricing but she also pushed my mom around in a wheel chair for our tour. We met the chef who was extremely nice and discussed cooking with my mom (a former caterer and southern cook). We are in the process of reviewing all the necessary information, but it is looking like she will be moving in soon. I'll post another updte after she becomes a resident at The Inn at Cass Lake.

My overall assesment of this place was low until I spoke with the manager. She is very helpful. If it were down to her alone, I would give her 5 stars. But the home health service has poor communication, with significant delays in status updates of your loved one. That is why I am giving the facility a lower rating.

The Inn at Cass Lake has been so great for my mom and dad! The staff and nurses care so much for my parents who have been living there for the past few years. My mom and dad feel so safe, well cared for and love all of the activities they plan for the residents. During covid, Shereida and staff have been providing a very safe place for them with restrictions in place to protect both residents and staff members. Both of my folks are really thriving in this community and I feel so fortunate knowing that my parents are so well cared for.

Wait staff changes often. I guess it's ok for the area. There aren't too many ALF's in the area to choose from. My dad's there. There aren't that many activities It's not new It's not nearly as lovely as my dad would want, but I didn't pick it. If given the choice, again, I'd have kept my dad in Florida... (compared to Florida)

My mother has been at this independent living resort for 20 years, they provide activities, entertainment, transportation, cleaning, and food...it is an all inclusive and self contained environment. Lots to do and people to interact with...much better for my mother than being home alone.

I had my grandmother at another assisted living property. The rooms were more like a hotel space, small with a tiny fridge tucked in the wall and no real closet or storage space. My grandma, as many, had to down size to move in and had 86 years of life adventures that she had to decide what could come and what she had to give or sadly throw away. She had lost so much already, her husband, her pets, her friends, her car and now her home and its contents. I wish I had found the Inn at Cass Lake first. She could have kept Junie, her little white American Eskimo and more of her most prized items. I moved Ester to The Inn at Cass Lake after she wasnt happy at her current location and what a difference. I read the below review and knew I had to share how great the experience was for her. Grandma was very social, but not always the nicest and everyone there treated her like she was family. She was able to take some of her favorite things out of the storage unit I had to rent and share their stories with the care staff and other residents there. She was very proud of her Blue Danu china, the clock my grandpa had made and she did some needlepoint on and there was even enough room in her closet in her new apartment at The Inn to store her wedding dress and grandpas military suite he wore in their wedding. All of those crocheted blankets, that she made were now back in her possession to give away at her will, as she liked to do. One of the things she liked about The Inn, was the open seating and the meals. When Ester first came she said she sat with multiple residents and eventually found a group she really fit in with and started to sit in her spot. But if someone sat there before she came down she just chose another table. Marchita the manager was wonderful to her, so caring and genuinely thoughtful. The girl that cleaned her apartment always told me I just love your grandma. Sometimes the staff would say she is a character, I think that was code for ornery, but youd never know it by the way they treated her. Julie the activities lady had live music every week it seems and grandma LOVED music. The stuff they did at the assisted living seemed more juvenile and Julies events more engaging and geared to please the younger residents as well as the older. She respects them like the adults they are. Im thrilled we found the Inn at Cass Lake.
