I've lived here for 2 1/2 years now and it's really home -- with a REALLY extended family! The staff members are all efficient and super-nice. The residents look out for each other and have fun together. The only downside is that the food's so good, it's really easy to over-indulge. Luckily, Riverstone has a Fitness Center!

I had a tour of Riverstone Retirement Community today with Dory Muzquix, the Senior Living Consultant at Riverstone. Dory was very informative and friendly and answered all of my questions.The apartments are immaculate and beautiful with full size appliances and large windows. Dory explained that Riverstone is an all inclusive, senior independent living community and that meals, snacks, utilities and WiFi and many other amenities are included in monthly rent. Also included is weekly housekeeping and transportation to and from appointments and shopping. There is valet parking for those residents that still drive. After the tour Dory gave me a packet with floorplans, rates, sample menus and activities that the residents enjoy. I enjoyed the tour very much and it was a pleasure meeting Dory and touring Riverstone.

Stayed as a guest of my parents in the guest suite. Accommodations were wonderful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming that I felt like I was at home rather than just visiting. Enjoyed multiple meals in the dining hall during my stay and each meal had multiple options to choose from, even for me as a vegetarian. Everything was delicious. My parents are very pleased with their decision to move to Riverstone and I am too.

Riverstone Retirement Community is absolutely wonderful! It's the whole package a beautiful little neighborhood with welcoming decor and friendly residents for neighbors. The food is incredible I mean really good! and there is a wide range of fun and engaging activities daily. While Riverstone is considered independent living, residents can get any support needed through third-party caregivers. There is an extra charge for that, but it translates to customized care at a more affordable cost for the resident or family. That kind of care means a resident can experience changes in health as they age and not have to move again. The community has a fitness center and wellness programs, plus cable and wifi, and all utilities are included. Riverstone is a phenomenal place and the staff is so helpful and kind! It's a must-see if you're looking for senior living options for yourself or for loved ones.

My dad has been there for 5 months. I am continually amazed and blessed at the personal interest these people take in each resident. I am talking from management to wait staff, house cleaning, maintenance, activities director, interim nursing and home health care...each and every person at one time or another has gone ABOVE just doing a good job, to help my family feel confident that he is not only well cared for, but cared ABOUT! We LOVE you guys! It would take WAY too long to list all the little but big things that each person has done for my dad that are NOT in any kind of contract, but in their hearts. Lyle, Kathy, Bailey, CiCi,Brent and Cyndi Lee, Rachel, Mary Pat,Jennifer, Rachel,Lanita, you all have given MY family a sense of peace by treating m our dad as your family.

I live in TN and was able to visit Riverstone along with my sister from CA and sister from there in KS City. It was so much fun getting to stay with them in a beautiful apartment onsite while enjoying our visit with Dad. I was very impressed with the quality of life my dad has at Riverstone. Visiting as a family was made so enjoyable by an incredibly comfortable and caring atmosphere. We spent time in the gym, playing billiards, having wonderful meals, and even getting to know my dads neighbors. The staff are so personable, and it was wonderful getting to know them, too. Its a great feeling to have such peace of mind about your loved one. I cant wait to return for my next visit.

My parents have lived at Riverstone for approximately 4 years now. Riverstone has been so much more than we expected, my parents have been overly joyed to be apart of a family and a wonderful community. The staff has always been phenomenal no matter the age of the employee. For example Fathers day weekend the community had an event called donuts with Dad, Mary Pat the activities director as well as the managers Roger and Cherene went above and beyond to make sure that everyone including the residents family members enjoyed it. They had specialty coffees, the best homemade cinnamon rolls made by Mary Pat herself that I have ever had. When donuts were becoming scarce Cherene went out and bought donuts herself in the nick of time. Thank you so much to Riverstone as a company and the entire staff for always treating my parents with respect and loyalty and making them feel loved 110% of the time. One of the residents during the event was kind enough to bring out his classic mint condition antique car. We are really looking forward to the car show that Riverstone will be hosting in September and we cant wait for that event.

I visited Riverstone with my sister and was immediately greeted at the front door with a smile and hello from the people behind the front desk. Going around the building (which was absolutely breathtaking) I had a wonderful tour and was greeted by very happy residents and staff was very nice. We ended up going with another place closer to where her children live but would have chosen Riverstone in a heart beat if the building would have been closer to the area we wanted. I will definitely be recommending Riverstone to my friends and family.

Riverstone is amazing! My Dad moved in last April and we continue to be impressed by the management (Brent and Cindilee) and their dedicated team. Such loving and personalized service! The breakfasts are amazing! Made to order right down to the turkey sausage! Beautiful Sunday brunch! Always fresh veggies and fruits at the salad bar. Fine dining too! Housekeeping and Maintenance are always on the ball! Activities galore! There is a wonderful movie theatre with top notch movies as well as special sporting and religious screenings. They also have an apartment on site that can be rented for 1, 2 the cost of a hotel for visiting family members. The residents are wonderful too! Such a homey and comfortable environment while still being modern. And the Interim Care staff are angels! The holiday decorations are just incredible and the residents decorate and personalize their porches. And the coffee! Yum! I could go on! I live in California and have such peace of mind knowing that my Dad is well cared for. Thank you Riverstone! On behalf of my family, we LOVE you!

After visiting numerous retirement communities in the KC metro area we decided to move to Riverstone. It is a beautiful place with beautiful people! We are meeting lots of people and enjoy visiting over meals with other residents. The staff is fantastic and go out of their way to do things for the residents. One young man who is a server brings us our favorite beverage at meals without us asking. The Lead Concierge is fun, knowledgeable, and efficient. The Senior Living Consultant is kind, caring, efficient and just an all around sweet young woman. The managers are friendly and ready to help residents in any way. The maintenance man is truly kind and efficient. The activities director is great and has lots of things planned. There is always something to do! We love it here and are looking forward to many years here. The staff has made a difficult move much easier and even enjoyable!

My parents moved here from Sun City West due to aging health issues. The facility is maintained well and serves good meals. It has several apartment options with monthly rental. (Residence are not required to buy in as required at many retirement facilities.) The residence can hire bonded nursing care if needed. Interim nursing care is on-site with comparable rates to other services. There are many activities for the residence. There is a workout room, an auditorium where movies and special events are held, there is a pool table, library, and conversation and meeting rooms for larger groups. There is a bus available for scheduled shopping and doctor appointments in the area. We have been very pleased with the facility and my parents contented to be there. The one draw back is that even though ownership hasnt changed, the on site managers have changed frequently over the last six years, so there is a lack of continuity in that area.

When my Dad passed away one of his caregivers was like our family and was with him the day he died. She was a true comfort for him in his last minutes. After searching the northern Kansas City area extensively, as well as surrounding communities, we decided on Riverstone and its the best choice we could have made for my father! Whether from the city or country, Riverstone makes everyone feel welcome. There are activities for all tastes and speaking of tastes, the dining experience is very good. They try to cater to any dining situation, those who live to be served, those who prefer to serve themselves, or sandwiches and snacks available anytime. The apartments are larger than many other facilities. Compared to other similar communities in the KC area, Riverstones cost is right in line but the feel is that of luxury. We recommend Riverstone highly!

My father joined Riverstone in 2013 after months of him and I looking for place he could call home. In 2012 my father took a bad fall down the stairs at his home and was faced with the unpleasant reality that he could no longer live in his house. He wasnt happy about it and agreed to start looking into retirement communities. Although many retirement communities around the area were nice none of them had the at home feeling that Riverstone offered. My father knew right after the first visit that it was the place for him and I knew too. He went from being depressed about selling his home to asking his family to sell it as quickly as possible so he could join Riverstone. We was suddenly excited about life and the new nice, comfortable, and beautiful living Riverstone had to offer. Since moving to Riverstone my father has become more outgoing and his health has improved. He looks forward to each and every day. He now exercises and goes to the movies. He has made several friends including a best friend that he eats meals with almost every meal with. As his daughter it makes me so happy to see my father blossom at Riverstone. Everyone from the management to staff to residents are friendly and loving. I cannot sing enough praise about Riverstone and how much peace, security, and happiness it has brought to my father and I.
